I asked to get a dental cleaning and got scheduled pretty quickly. They requested that I send them my latest X-rays. I told them I do not need an evaluation of any kind, just a cleaning - in and out... Nevertheless, they insisted, saying it's their policy, so I reluctantly requested my current office to send them X-rays, which they did. While in the dental chair, I repeated my request to just get a cleaning - nothing more. However, they insisted on taking the X-rays yet again - I'd guess to just bill my insurance because they could... I was not happy to waste time and get radiated again, but complied. The dental hygienist tried to upsell me while I was in the chair! I may've agreed on some the procedures, which were offered, but the mere fact of pressuring me while I was already in the chair and not asking in advance was appalling. In addition, planned another appointment after the visit, and did not have time for all of that, so I refused. Before the cleaning was completed, the dentist came into the room, and the hygienist promptly stopped the procedure. Again, I said I do not need an evaluation, just the cleaning. Again, they insisted on it. The doctor spent a few min. with me and left. I missed my next appointment and was kind of upset with what took place, but lo and behold, they send me a bill for the doctor's exam! I've had dental insurance for many years, and cleaning was ALWAYS free. Apparently, not in this office. We called a couple of times trying to resolve this issue, but the office manager would basically have just angry monologues, and barely let use speak. So, if you are a sucker for unexpected charges and pressure to upsell while in the dental chair, this office is for you. I will pay the scummy bill, but I will never get even close.

Tara was incredibly helpful from the beginning, coordinating my son's care with his orthodontist and clearly explaining the transition from our former dentist. She was also completely transparent about insurance, billing, and costs, providing everything in writing and by email so both my husband and I understood exactly what to expect. Dr. Basani is phenomenal. She took time to speak with me before my son's appointment, carefully explained every option, and shared what she would do for her own child. She is compassionate, gentle, and has an exceptional bedside manner. My son said he felt absolutely nothing during treatment and, for the first time, left the dentist happier than when he arrived. Dr. Basani reassured him that his hygiene was excellent and that the issue was simply related to how his tooth was growing in. He never felt frightened or blamed. For example, his suggestion as to how to correct a tooth issue was to cut the molar down to the gums and eventually the gum would cover the roots. Another time he said to make the gum bleed when I brushed my teeth and yet another time he took a new toothbrush out of packaging and brushed upright on the gum which I now have an infection from that is to just give a few examples. My issues since going to him is now going to cost me several of thousands of dollars.

After my abutment teeth were broken during a bridge removal and already 1300$ in the hole he offered to give me snap in dentures at a cost of 27k because my teeth would no longer support a bridge. Downingtown dental studios and Dr Shah just finished my permanent implants for thousands less the Dr Forts quote for dentures and the experience was amazing. Dr Shah is the owner and single Dr that does the work. He doesn't overbook. The circumstances behind this were avoidable but im glad I found a provider that does what they say theyre going to do. I arrived for a scheduled emergency visit to deal with an abscess, and spent a total of 4 minutes with the doctor in the room. "I'll be right back" was said about 7 times. He sliced the abscess, left the room for 30 minutes with soaking wet gauze in my mouth, with the excess dripping all over my clothing, then made zero attempt to clean, disinfect, or even have me rinse. They sent me on my way feeling like i was robbed.The entire experience crossed the border of 'sanitary' by a wide mile. Against my better judgement, I made the follow-up appointment to extract the tooth, and they refused service the day of the appointment. The lack of sanitation, professionalism, or anything close to attentiveness is disturbing. Stay away from this dirty dollar grab.
