    Nice and clean

Wasn't welcomed when we walked in but no big deal. The place is clean and well kept which makes it much easier to shop. The carts don't squeak like crazy as well which is nice. Prices a little high but overall good experience.

Excuse me Pike Nurseries how have you been hiding a location from me? After watching a local YouTuber make a video about their trip there I had to make a visit. This location is tucked behind the Sycamore Commons shopping center in Matthews. It's a good size nursery. They don't have a large variety of succulents and an okay amount of house plants. I don't find much on my visit (that's because I have a large collection already). I did see a couple items I didn't have but nothing I was in need of or searching for. The plants look good and are well taken care of. The employees were even making sure the other items on the shelves were well arranged and displayed nicely. I'm glad to know of this location and will definitely make it a part of my places to pop into and see what's new!! I also have to visit all the other locations around the Charlotte area. Hello friends, I have what some may is a green(ish) thumb. A Friend of mine and I stopped by after breakfast at Metro Diner (see review). We have a plant that we are having problems with. So we came to ask for professional advice. I forgot the young lady's name but....she was hella helpful. We showed her pictures of all of our plants and she helped identify our 4 different plants. She gave tips and reasons why each plant was doing better than the next. Go enjoy, TTFN

Best plant selection I've seen any plant store in the city that goes for Charlotte too. Extremely good prices for giant plants. They have some of the biggest airplants I've seen. I highly suggest adding this to your next stop if you are a plant o haulic like me

I absolutely love this place! They always have some free event going on for customers. Today I attended a free fall gardening class. It was quite informative and the staff is always friendly. Even provided Chick-fil-A minis and fresh coffee and cocoa for us. Class lasted abt 45min and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Learned so much!

I am officially done with Pike's and it makes me very sad because I love their stores. This is now the THIRD time I have brought mealybug infested plants into my home (story on original review- all big hanging baskets which I ended up throwing out). I decided to give Pike's a break for a bit and returned again for the first time months and picked up multiple plants including a grapevine hanging basket. Well... sure as s**t I was just checking on my plant (she's been in quarantine!) and she is COVERED in mealy bugs. This plant is entirely too dense to get them all and I will be pitching it. Looks like I need to pick through the other five plants and see if they, too, are infested. What a waste of money.

Its exterior water feature visuals tempt me to buy in the middle of a hot summer but walking in the greenhouse I was cooking . I think they know that that's why there's a free water bottle frig as u exit the greenhouse into the AC store. Perlite here is $2 more than the Johnston Rd location. Loved the entrance pond better than Johnston's.

    Beautiful Greenhouse with clear labeling.

But walk through that door and its like the Tardis from Dr. Who. The store really opens up into multiple rooms each with their own treasures to be found. Then out back there is a garde. And green house. They have chili pepper plants the likes of which I don't think I will ever see again! I swear the jalapeno plant was nearly as tall as me. And that is not an exaggeration. It was massive. Like a spicy tree. It was seriously impressive. Anyhow, there was also a "volunteer" plant just outside the back door that had tiny red peppers on it. Nobody seemed to know the variety but said they were too too hot. Maybe Tobasco peppers they thought. I started talking to them about my own home garden and how I struggle with tomato and pepper blossoms not sticking around long enough to produce fruit. They told me about something called "Blossom Set." I would have bought some there but it was greater than 3 ounces and I had to fly home. What I did buy was a bottle of scuppernong juice. Funny name for a native grape with a delicious flavor. A little more tart than standard grapes. I had been wanting to try scuppernongs and that did the trick. My only regret here is that I don't live anywhere near Renfrow's and could not biy as much I really wanted to. If I was a local, this would likely me a regular stop on my weekend errands.

The plants arrived after 3 PM on Friday, July 3rd. I opened the box immediately and was disappointed to find one plant clearly damaged (broken stems and crushed foliage) and the remaining five in only fair to poor condition--wilted, stressed, and showing signs of rough handling during shipping. Because I had family company arriving for the 4th of July holiday weekend, I was unable to take and send detailed photos within their strict 24-hour claim window. I emailed them today (Monday, July 6th) with a full explanation of the circumstances, photos of the damaged plant, and a polite request to replace just the one severely damaged plant. Unfortunately, they refused to make any exception to their policy. While I understand businesses need policies to protect against abuse, a rigid 24-hour window with no flexibility for a legitimate holiday-weekend delivery--especially when the damage was noticed immediately upon opening--feels overly punitive. The quality of the plants themselves was also subpar compared to what I expected for the price. I've had better experiences with other mail-order nurseries that show more customer-friendly flexibility during busy holiday periods. I won't be ordering from Creekside Nursery again. Rating: 2/5 stars (one star for the attempt to fulfill the order, one for eventual response)

Third job: (Last fall) paid for manual pulling/removal of Bermuda grass from garden beds, plus weed control and mulch. Emphasis on manual removal - explicitly was told they would pull all the Bermuda out manually to get all the roots out. Took a bit of chasing around to get them to actually get it on the books, and then when they did come they just buzzed everything with a string trimmed and sprayed weed killer over that. We agreed to still pay the full price on the condition that Gairy would send a team out in the spring once the Bermuda woke up and inevitably came through the mulch since it wasn't removed. He agreed, and we left it at that. Flash forward to this year and has completely ghosted us and been non-responsive. Even tried asking about having a bunch of other services added so that it wouldn't be a totally free trip, but still No luck. We finally gave up on any hope of getting the promised services, hired Mr. Outdoor Living, dropped like $4K on services with them instead and will be sticking with them next year when we do a sprinkler system and stone retaining walls.
