Today (before Fathers Day), only 5 are thriving. 7 have completely died and the other 3 are in a struggle-bus stage. Day before we bought a bunch from a box store and only one of those have died. At Pikes, we bought two identical tomato plants. Planted them side by side, both cared for identically in the same soil. One is popping out tomatoes and buds like there is no tomorrow and the other one, though green and growing, will not bud at all. Not giving up on it yet though. Really frustrated. If I want to lose money, I will take a chance with losing less $ at a box store. Thought the higher cost would bring better quality plant but that was not my experience. Highly disappointed and will not be back.

We just reserved our spot with $25. When you get there, you choose your glass vase at different price points and just pay the difference. I chose a $25 cylinder that included 2 succulents or 3 air plants. They have a huge variety of decorative items to create a beautiful terrarium. There is no bar at this location and you aren't allowed to bring in your own alcohol. So I just took water for myself. The workshop took 30 minutes or so to complete. Otherwise, they have a big selection of all kinds of plants to choose from if you're in the market for a baby to take home. This location is much smaller than the Dilworth building.

I called and sent pictures. They were very polite and professional and after checking with everyone involved in the order assured me that it was 4 cubic yards. I was still doubtful but after having moved over half of it to my raised garden beds I am happy to say that they were absolutely right. So, Andolina gets five stars from me for a quality product, at a great price, delivered timely and pleasantly, dumped in the exact location I requested and having terrific customer service and on top of that, handling an undeserved customer complaint with professionalism. Renfrow's was recommended to me by the folks down the street at the Matthews Heritage Museum. It…read moredid not disappoint. The store is deceptively big. The front door is narrow and old. But walk through that door and its like the Tardis from Dr. Who. The store really opens up into multiple rooms each with their own treasures to be found. Then out back there is a garde. And green house. They have chili pepper plants the likes of which I don't think I will ever see again! I swear the jalapeno plant was nearly as tall as me. And that is not an exaggeration. It was massive. Like a spicy tree. It was seriously impressive. Anyhow, there was also a "volunteer" plant just outside the back door that had tiny red peppers on it. Nobody seemed to know the variety but said they were too too hot. Maybe Tobasco peppers they thought. I started talking to them about my own home garden and how I struggle with tomato and pepper blossoms not sticking around long enough to produce fruit. They told me about something called "Blossom Set." I would have bought some there but it was greater than 3 ounces and I had to fly home. What I did buy was a bottle of scuppernong juice. Funny name for a native grape with a delicious flavor. A little more tart than standard grapes. I had been wanting to try scuppernongs and that did the trick. My only regret here is that I don't live anywhere near Renfrow's and could not biy as much I really wanted to. If I was a local, this would likely me a regular stop on my weekend errands.

I contacted the nursery for a replacement but they said replacements are not given from them. They stated that many things could cause it to die. They were expensive plants. Make sure to ask for replacement possibilities or refund pricing or you may be wasting your money. I hope they have much success but I will never recommend this nursery to my family and friends.
