Buyer beware not labled as SPICY!

After passing this place for years, I finally stopped. Shack it is, size wise. The majority of the items are $14. Some go as low as $10. BUT BUYER BEWARE!!! For some unexplainable reason, with the exception of two dill spear items, EVERYTHING is marinated with jalapeños. Italian tapenade, jalapeños. Quail eggs, jalapeños. Artichoke hearts you guessed it jalapeños. Why, just why? I couldn't eat 3 of the 5 items we purchased. $45 worth of items just wasted. I honestly didn't think I would have to read ingredients on item that are not clearly labeled as spicy or hot. The quail eggs even say mild on them!

Double Dills Pickles, Peach Jalapeño Preserves & Chili Relleno Salsa!

The store was clean and open. The lady at the register was friendly and helpful in pointing us to the perfect pickles that weren't spicy and what jam I couldn't leave without trying. We took the relleno salsa without even contemplating any others! Haven't tried any yet ... but based on reviews we are excited!!

Stopped in real quick since we were Nextdoor at Ferns diner. We got the pickled okra some mushrooms as well. Both were absolutely addicting! They didn't make it very long because we ate them so quickly. I need to go back and restock lol.

too much mustard seed that caused them to be very bitter. No dill flavor and there were a few soft spots.

I was in town visiting friends and since I am a known pickle freak they took me here! Cute little place lots to choose from. I got these Dilled Pickles and was not a fan. We all agreed that there was way too much mustard seed that caused them to be very bitter. No dill flavor and there were a few soft spots. I think that had they had samples maybe I would have found a pickle I'd like? but these sadly were just not very good.

The woman that works/(owns?) Is rude as hell, doesn't matter how much you spend or if you have questions about product. This is why people order amazon. If you're going to act bothered by your customers maybe play music or something.

Super cute! It's located next door to Ferns Diner. The pickle options are vast. I got spicy pickles for my fiance. It's a very nice little family run place.

We love the pickles and olives from this shack. We make it there about once a year. They have bottled pickle juice in a fridge. There are a lot of pickled items and definitely other items such as delicious jams. Bring your wallet-it is pricey. The woman behind the counter was less than friendly -but thankfully I did not need her help. They need to get a wheelchair ramp- so that wheelchair-bound people can get in the store. We will be back next year!!!

Cute little shop I'm glad we stopped! The lady at the counter was very helpful when picking out a salsa and pickle juice! The pickle juice is quite strong but still good nonetheless - would be good in a Bloody Mary I'd think!

We came up here after seeing the signs on our way to our vacation destination. It's right at the base of Pike's Peak, in Cascade, Colorado just south of Winter Park. They have a really nice selection of different flavors of dill pickles as well as a good selection of Olives stuffed with different things like garlic, jalapenos, and Bleu Cheese. They are great snacks for the kids who are always looking for something to munch on. And we enjoyed them as well! They make great additions to your Bloody Mary's!!! It's not a really big place, but they offer a lot and the folks here are very kind too!

Unfortunately a rain storm decided to blow through shortly after we ordered. Our server was nice enough to accommodate us with seating at the bar and we got to enjoy a great meal. The baked potato soup was different than what I normally get when I order baked potato soup and it was fantastic. I'm kind of a connoisseur on Reuben sandwiches and the Colorado Reuben is spectacular. Loaded with meat and the perfect amount of sauerkraut and dressing. A very generous portion and can definitely be shared.

If average was a restaurant, this place would be the poster child. I only give it 3 stars because of the service, the food was a solid 1-2 stars. Bland, as average as it gets. The chicken in the chicken tacos had no texture. It was mush! So bad. The special chicken fried steak was exceedingly average at best. The waitress, Erica, was awesome, and that was the highlight. The food was just awful to average. Drinks were good though, because they came out of a can. So disappointing, we really were excited to try it. Just keep driving by it, up or down the mountain there is way better offerings in the area. Ambiance was awesome, right in the stream with humming birds flitting about.

We were on the hunt for a cold beverage and a nice place to sit, and this is honestly the only place in town that we found that satisfied our criteria. We walked in and it was a little bit confusing that you were handed a menu, but had to go claim a table and figure out what number table it was, and then come back inside to order, it felt very disjointed. We noticed that it was happy hour, so chose two beverages that were listed, and they were out of one of them. My brother ordered a tap beer, and they never brought it out, we waited quite a while and then he went back inside and got it. It was a little bit confusing, since they had been so adamant to go figure out what table we wanted, and then they never brought out what we ordered. We probably would have ordered several drinks but since it took so long we decided to move on. The (I think) owner was outside, tending to the patio, and enjoying the music. It was a little overbearing, but I think he was just passionate, giving gifts to the children and being hospitable. The best part was the very good live music, and the large water they brought to our table. I also enjoyed the people watching since it's right on the street.

The outdoor seating area was where we decided to sit with our group of seven; the person who greeted us guided us out, handed us menus, and left. Then we waited. And waited. And finally went back inside to see where our server was. OH. You place your order inside. That would have been very helpful information for us first-timers to have! We were hoping for Eggs Benedict since they were featured in several reviews, it alas, they were not on the menu. We all shared delicious French toast, avocado toast, a Bloody Mary, mocha, and everything was excellent. We just found ourselves wishing the service would have been a bit more attentive.
