Great, GREAT customer service. Everyone was helpful here. We walked in looking for a tea (into the market part) and the lady helped us look for what we wanted - unfortunately they were out but the helpfulness is something that's hard to find. Then we decided to try their food- delicious! I had the nachos (enough for 2) and my mom had a chicken quesadilla also generous with the chicken and it too was delicious. I would love to come back and try some tacos - the meat on my nachos was amazing so it stands to reason that the tacos will be excellent! Wow. This food is GREAT. We had the asada chile relleno burrito (not on menu) and chimichanga with green chile sauce. The asada was super flavorful and the chile had lovely smokiness. The chimichanga needed a little more green chile sauce but still exceptional. Staff was also kind and friendly. Go get you some of this food and pick up some groceries while you're at it. read more

We walked in about 20 minutes before closing, and we were honestly a little nervous because many places can feel rushed or unwelcoming when you come in that close to closing time. However, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and never made us feel rushed at all! The service alone was amazing! We ordered the chicken taquitos, birria quesadilla, and a chimichanga, and everything was so good, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care! It is also a Mexican meat market, with a small selection of grocery items, which makes it even better! Normally don't leave one star reviews, but this experience was so unsettling I feel the need to warn others. I was eating a torta when I bit into something hard, turns out it was a full press on nails lodged in my torta. Totally disgusting and obviously a major health concern. My husband brought it to the staff, and the woman at the counter looked at it and said, "Oh, that's my nail, I had wondered where it went." She then offered to either remake the food or give us a refund. While I appreciate the honesty and the offer to make it right, the fact that she was wearing press-on nails while handling food is completely inappropriate. It's basic food safety, artificial nails are a well-known contamination risk and should never be worn in a food prep environment. Since we were eating in our car I came back inside to ask for the owner or manager and told the cashier what had happened. She apologized and asked to remake the food or refund it but I told her we had already gotten a refund and I was very disappointed that this incident occurred. She said she would pass the information down to the manager. Mistakes happen, but this one is inexcusable. I won't be returning, and I sincerely hope the restaurant reevaluates its hygiene standards before someone gets seriously sick. read more

For some reason, they have fries that line the burrito which gives it a super awkward bite/texture - wasn't a fan of that. But the ultimate sadness came from the rest of the ingredients. I opened the burrito and was sad to see that it was simply scrambled egg, French fries, shredded cheese and chopped up deli ham(!!) That last one broke my heart a bit, as I was expecting something... a lot different quality protein based on how amazing the rest of the sold meat they sell in the place. This is a huge, HUGE missed opportunity as I have a lot of friends who are obsessed with finding the best quality breakfast burritos around - and unfortunately that isn't it. So, yeay, I FINALLY tried this place and YUM it was tasty. It's both a market and they sell stuff to eat or take out. I ordered a California burrito to go. They have a section outdoors for eating there. It was scrumptious! Potatoes, bacon, pico de gallo, cheese... I think it had carne Asada in it, but honestly not much. It kind of felt more like a breakfast burrito then did a dinner burrito. Very heavy on the potatoes, for sure. Going back I'm not sure that I would order a burrito this, because I like more meat and less fried shoe string potato in my burritos, but that doesn't discount how tasty it was. I also give them five stars just for being different from every other freaking Mexican food place in Colorado Springs. They are not an imitator! They also resembled a small market that you would see in Mexico as well. If you are unable to find something in your local grocery store, they would likely have it here. I believe Mexican food should be a food group, though I have never been super impressed with the choices in Colorado Springs. Our adult son and his girlfriend brought us in last night for supper . We were immediately greeted by a smiling employee ! All our meals were super delicious ! The prices were kinda pricey to me but the portions were huge and well worth it ! I have tried 4 Mexican restaurants and a few taco shops here in the Springs and none have been native to me and my culture. This place tasted like my mom's cooking. It disappoints me to have to post this review after really enjoying Sonoras since they opened. Unfortunately we recently placed an order through their website for a delivery order. It happened to be the night of a snow storm. Sonoras uses DoorDash to deliver there orders and they were having an issue getting drivers to come and pick up orders. I found all of this out after we had placed our order and waited over and hour for the order to be delivered (the website still quoted 21 minute estimate) and I called to check on the order. The first time I called I was told that DoorDash hadn't picked up the order and it had been ready for an hour and we would need to come and pick it up. We happened to be without a car and I told the woman I talked to that I would try to figure something out. We were unable to figure it out so I called back to tell them that I was unable to come get the order. The man I talked to seemed frustrated and said he didn't know what to tell me. I told him I would like to cancel the order and without saying anything he hung up on me. All of this happened about 4 days before this review is being posted. I waited for the order amount to be refunded or for the authorization on my card not to settle but it did settle and there was no refund so I stopped by the store to ask for a manager to get my refund. I really was hoping the issue would be resolved positively, I understand that small businesses have a lot to deal with and I simply wanted my money returned. When I stopped by to resolve the issue, I was told there was no manager available and no one that could help me. The woman I talked to escorted me over to the checkout counter so that I could get the managers number to contact her. I waited for the man checking people out to finish checking out the person in line and then he started to take my information down. In the middle of taking down my information without saying anything to me, he turned and started checking someone else out... so I left. Although I really want to support this business and I empathize with having to deal with bad weather, they should not be taking orders through their website if they can't fulfill them. If there is an issue they should contact the people who placed the order (the contact info is entered online when you place your order) and let them know there is an issue. It shouldn't take a customer calling in over an hour later to find out there is a problem. This business needs to be training its staff to deal with issues better. Unfortunately this is the last time I will be ordering from this business and I will be taking down my review and the pictures (which happen to be one of the spotlighted reviews/pictures). The food is great and won hundreds of dollars worth of my business this last year, but the service lost my business and my recommendation. Come here for an outstanding experience! I loved comming here for dinner and doing a little shopping. The shop has all different kinds of items such as Mexican candy, drinks, meat counter, spices, and even fresh bakery items. I bought housemade chicharrones, a few pieces of candy and four pastries. The sugar donuts are so delicious and a must buy when stopping by here. After shopping my hubby and I ordered our dinner. I ordered a Birria taco and a soft taco with pork. Both were very tasty and the meat was tender and super flavorful. My husband ordered the Choripollo which is a dish that has grilled chicken breast topped with chorizo and queso, served with rice and beans.
