Strange, but nice experience. We spotted the shaded patio as we walked by on a hot summer day, and they were just starting live music for the afternoon. We were on the hunt for a cold beverage and a nice place to sit, and this is honestly the only place in town that we found that satisfied our criteria. We walked in and it was a little bit confusing that you were handed a menu, but had to go claim a table and figure out what number table it was, and then come back inside to order, it felt very disjointed. We noticed that it was happy hour, so chose two beverages that were listed, and they were out of one of them. My brother ordered a tap beer, and they never brought it out, we waited quite a while and then he went back inside and got it. It was a little bit confusing, since they had been so adamant to go figure out what table we wanted, and then they never brought out what we ordered. We probably would have ordered several drinks but since it took so long we decided to move on. The (I think) owner was outside, tending to the patio, and enjoying the music. It was a little overbearing, but I think he was just passionate, giving gifts to the children and being hospitable. The outdoor seating area was where we decided to sit with our group of seven; the person who greeted us guided us out, handed us menus, and left. Then we waited. And waited. And finally went back inside to see where our server was. OH. You place your order inside. That would have been very helpful information for us first-timers to have! We were hoping for Eggs Benedict since they were featured in several reviews, it alas, they were not on the menu. Wow!!! We cannot express enough how delighted we were to visit Toasted twice while on Spring Break. The Bloody Mary is beyond tasty and the tequila sunrise is just as amazing. Atmosphere is casual and the vibe is laid back with a Grateful Dead theme. On our second trip in we sat outside on the patio and had the same two drinks plus we ordered the breakfast burrito! I requested to add caramelized onions and I'm so glad I did. So many flavors danced on my tongue and I did a little dance with each bite. Ask for extra salsa, the one tiny one that's included is nowhere near enough for the size of this dish. After walking past this place for years and always thinking that I wanted to try it, I finally did - and now I wish I had visited sooner! WHAT A COMPLETE GEM! First of all, everyone there is happy to see you and genuinely wants you to enjoy your visit. From start to finish, care and character came through. These people pour a lot of love into the food, and the atmosphere too, and it shines through. The large patio next to the creek is wonderful during the short summer, and it's dog-friendly and geezer friendly (we brought our geezers but don't have dogs). One of said geezers (my dad) ordered a reuben. It looked amazing - they make everything from scratch, and fresh bread almost always looks amazing - but then I snagged a bite. Holy cow... slow cooked in house, actually - the pastrami was OFF THE CHARTS. I had a pastrami sandwich at Katz Deli in NYC last summer, and THE PASTRAMI AT TOASTED WAS BETTER than any I've had on the East Coast. (No apologies to any New Yorkers who recoil in horror at this assertion - just go try it!) I plan to go back just to eat pastrami...okay, maybe that's a stretch because everything we ordered was delicious and I don't want to take such a limited approach, but the pastrami is worth a trip on its own. Don't sleep on visiting Toasted. I called to see if they were dog friendly before visiting and they said we're welcome both indoors and outdoors. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and asked if we were the callers from earlier. The owner, bartender, chef, and all the rest of the staff were so kind even made me a breakfast item when it was very much not breakfast time. I very much enjoyed my shakshuka on the patio listening to the creek water running and chill music. My meal came with a side of fruit, breakfast potatoes, and some incredibly delicious toast! By the time I ate the entire patio had emptied to give me and my pupper a private dining experience. Oh and if you bring your dog they'll love on them with a pup cup or some bacon. Nice spot located right as you come into Manitou Springs. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. There is metered street parking. The staff are friendly and provide great service. The restaurant is clean. We chose caramel and mocha lattes to drink. We had the stuffed French toast and the breakfast burrito. The French toast is beautiful and tasty. I highly recommend checking the menu beforehand, as you order at the counter before grabbing a seat. That said, you can also take a seat first and review the menu. Both options work! The day we went happened to be gorgeous, so we sat on the patio. When our food arrived, my taste buds were beyond excited. I walked in with low expectations, but wow this place far exceeded them. We had the chicken tenders, a super basic dish, yet quite possibly the best I've ever had. I also tried the pepperoni pizza and yes, it was incredibly greasy, but also incredibly delicious (it could use less grease though). And if you love kombucha as much as I do, you'll love the Third Bird brand they carry. It's much lower in sugar than grocery store brands but still delivers the perfect taste. I had the pear lavender flavor, and it hit the spot. Everything here does. Whether you're looking for a post-Incline meal or just happen to be in the area, definitely check this place out! We popped in for a birthday lunch on a Saturday, and just loved this place! I tried the smash burger, which was very good. There is seating both in side and out, and on the day we stopped in there was live music on the patio. The funniest part of the visit was this random Emu that happened by. Danny or something was its name. Crazy. The staff was super friendly and the food came our rather quickly despite the place being quite busy. Went to Toasted following a military promotion ceremony for my sister and had such a lovely experience. The owners, and staff, were incredibly kind and very congratulatory regarding the ceremony and all shared their congratulations with our group multiple times (unprompted) throughout our brunch. That alone would've made for a nice morning, but in addition to how sweet everyone was the patio spacious, cute and clean and the food and drinks were SO good (the Bloody Mary and breakfast sandwich were both unreal). Stopped in for a few cocktails and a burger. My wife and I split the burger and they automatically split it on two plates without us asking. Every employee was extremely friendly. We sat outside and listened to the spring run past below the deck. We got to share lunch with the resident squirrel that lives in the tree above the patio. If I could give 6 stars I would, the food and the owners (Jamie and Lisa) are incredible! Come here if you want delicious house-made food made with locally sourced ingredients that is served quickly with friendly service. While visiting Manitou Springs, we chose to eat here due to its proximity to our parking spot. We were in a hurry and hoped for a quick meal. Upon arrival, Jamie greeted us enthusiastically, brought us menus, and then waters. At the time (about 4:15 pm) they were serving from a shorter menu. The dinner menu starts at 5 pm. The menu still had ample options so we chose the duck confit tacos and pepperoni pizza. Multiple times Jamie and Lisa came over to check on us. Since we were short on time, we paid for the meal in advance. Soon after, our meal was ready. We were blown away by the speed and quality of the meal. Upon tasting the pizza, we had to ask about the ingredients. After one bite you could tell that the sauce was house made. Everything was delicious. We ate the tacos and 1/2 the pizza, taking the rest to go. If we could have, we definitely would have stayed longer. We would have enjoyed hearing more about the dishes and trying the other menu items. Overall, we had the perfect meal here and certainly recommend this restaurant to others!
