I've purchased several RVs over the years. Most were positive experiences. My experience with Pikes Peak was not. Pre-purchase pricing negotiations didn't go well for me. They held their ground and knew that they had the upper hand since they had the model I was looking for, and I could not find one locally. I get that. I'm from MN and they are in CO. Buying sight unseen was difficult and stressful. I asked for a walk around video and never got one, only pictures. I wanted to have the truck camper delivered since we had an elderly dog that could not make the trip. Delivery was expensive. We agreed on a price and somehow that price went up during final invoice time. I was told the camper would be delivered on Wednesday March 11. I got a call Tuesday March 10 and was told the camper was going to arrive "early afternoon that day". I took the afternoon off work to be home when it arrived. Later that morning I was given an updated ETA of 7:30PM. Shortly after 9PM, no camper and no word from them so I reached out. I was told that the driver was "in northern Iowa and would be there in 45 minutes". I waited 1 hour and nothing, so I called again. I was told that they were a half hour away, another lie. It was almost 11PM when they finally arrived. I took delivery of a $40K camper at 11PM at night in the dark of Winter. I paid a premium price for the deliver "service".... After the next morning inspection, all looked good. I did notice that one of the dust caps was missing on one of the four electric jacks. Not a big deal, but I'm an engineer and the manufacturer of the electric jacks supplies them with dust caps for a reason. So, I went on the manufacturers web site to order a replacement. The price of one of the little dust caps was $25 including shipping. I thought before I ordered one, I will ask Pikes Peak if they have a spare. I reached out to them about the single missing cap and was told "all of our Adventurer campers on site don't have any caps, but I do have a spare set that I can send you". I thought that was an odd thing to say. So, I checked the pictures on their web site of other Adventurer campers on the lot and, sure enough, all the pictures showed the dust caps in place on the jacks. That was just weird. Two weeks later, no dust caps arrived so I reached out and was told that they were sent standard mail. No tracking and never arrived. That was weird, too. I was told that they would send another set. I'm not going to hold my breath for those to arrive.... All in all, there were a few other odd stories I could add but you get the picture. I cannot recommend this dealership and won't be going back to them in the future. read more

Out of state new customer! Everyone here was great! They did not SELL me, they INFORMED about options and EDUCATED a new buyer with numerous texts, calls and follow up. I bought a new NOBO 20.3 and could not be happier with the experience. From sales, to tech, to the front counter, the entire staff was accommodating and respectful of my time. I recently sold my RV on consignment at Pikes Pike RV. No complaints at all. It was a great experience. At one point or another, I interacted with people in all their departments and was impressed across the board. Celeste and the rest of the team are all clear and straightforward communicators. The whole process was simple and transparent from start to finish. Most importantly, I felt like it was fair to me, to the buyer, and to the dealer, which is all anyone can ask for. As a small, locally owned business, they certainly exceeded my expectations and deserve your consideration when buying or selling an RV. I would certainly choose to work with Pikes Peak RV again. When I took my 5th wheel camping trailer (which I purchased new from them in 2020) last July 9, 2024 to have them repack the wheel bearings, I asked Asst. Service Manager Lee to check the Max Aire roof vent covers (which I bought from them and they installed them) to make sure they were secure. They did check them per my and their work order and I was told they were secure. I came back from camping yesterday August 22, 2025 and the front cover was gone. I called and spoke to the service person (apparently long time service managers Brian and Lee got fired) and got the run around about new ownership and their warranty is only good for a year so I was out of luck. I said I would pay for a new cover but they should install it either for free or a reduced rate since they neglected to secure the front cover in 2024. Nope, no can do I was told. Well, I can no longer patronize this business and will go elsewhere. Very sad, because previously PP Travelland was a friendly family owned business and I spent a lot of many there and is now apparently owned by a profiteering, zero customer service hack. read more

Worst Customer Service EVER In March we took our camper to Pike's Peak Travel Land because our fridge wasn't working. They informed us there was a recall on the fridge and had to replace "a fuse". A while later they called us and told us we owed them money because it wasn't a recall (their mistake). They did indeed call our warranty company in March, but the service was denied because they completed the work prior to gaining authorization. A few months go by, and we go on our first camping trip of the season and guess what? YES folks, our fridge wasn't working. We called to get another appointment when we returned, they did their diagnostic work and indicated that the issue was the thermal fuse. They called us and told us it'll be $360 (ish) to fix, and it'll be done soon. They did not call us prior to starting work on our camper, we told them we wanted to know why it wasn't covered under warranty and to stop work. Lee says, "oh well, we started it and I'll have to go see if I can stop him". I called Lee the following day to gain more information on why it wasn't covered. He told me the fridge company will not cover it under warranty because it's usually caused due to the fridge being on during transport. I informed him we do not have the fridge on when we are traveling, and then asked why they didn't call our warranty service company. I called our warranty company and they indicated that Pike's Peak NEVER called them this time around, they only called back in March. I then called Pike's Peak back and asked them to call our warranty company, they said "oh I already kicked it out, I think I can get it back in next week... A week goes by, and I call: "oh sorry, we didn't get it in maybe next week". They finally got our camper back in and called our warranty company and told them that the thermal fuse wasn't working because we drove to our destination with the fridge on. WHICH WE DO NOT/DID NOT!! They also indicated they called the fridge company twice (back in March and July), the fridge company told them that it wasn't covered under warranty... We call the fridge company ourselves and low and behold they have NO record of Pike's Peak Travel Land calling them in March or in July. Yet another lie! I asked Pike's Peak again what was broken and they informed me it was the thermal fuse (same one they supposedly replaced back in March?), I then asked what was replaced back in March and Lee tells me the "Dometic Recall Kit was replaced back in March". In talking with our warranty company to gain clarification, they informed me that it was denied because the service department at Pike's Peak told them, that we "drive with the fridge on during transport" I then stated that that's not the case, the warranty company told me only the service department can make changes and there really seems to be some confusion from the service department at Pike's Peak. I called back and spoke to Brian, the service manager, who said that the fridge company covered our thermal fuse last time (wonder why they called our warranty company too). He then said "typically" the thermal fuse is caused by having the fridge on when driving (supposedly the fridge company that they DIDN'T call told them that). I informed him that they did not tell the warranty company "typically" they said that was the cause. Brian says "I will not lie to the warranty company" ... Well sir you just did. He became very aggravated with my questions and started to raise his voice at me and talked over me and became very unprofessional. My husband and I were told 5 different things by Pike's Peak. Which one is the truth? 1. The thermal fuse was a recall. 2. The fridge company covered the thermal fuse or thermal recall kit, however they called my warranty company to be paid after the service was complete. 3. The "thermal Recall kit" was replaced back in March not the thermal fuse. 4. The thermal fuse was replaced in March. 5. Called the fridge company but didn't actually call them. Their story changes depending on what you're asking. They're not trustworthy and have no customer service whatsoever. They are doing dirty business trying to double dip on repairs while fraudulently holding the manufacturers and service warranty companies responsible for their shortfalls. read more

We just traded our 94' 38ft bounder for a 28ft Connect tow behind. Do you know who is amazing at this place? The staff! Larry was so knowledgeable and helpful! He knew everything inside and outside an RV. He truly looks out for the customers needs. We had a hose that did not fully fit, off Larry went to find the right one. Whoops the hitch is missing a small part, don't worry, Larry has your back. Kevin handled all the paperwork with humor and delicious cookies. Jim made the sale. There was a gentleman at the front desk who overheard that we were looking for a USMC tire cover, and he found an amazing one on Amazon! All in all this group works as a team. Looks out for the customer and really wants to see them embark on a happy adventure that lasts a lifetime. We stopped at Pikes Peak Traveland this afternoon while traveling through Colorado Springs on our way to warmer weather. If it was possible to give Pikes Peak Traveland TEN STARS, we would! Justin, the service manager, was friendly and very patient over the phone, when I asked him to help me locate the fuse box within my coach. However, when it became apparent, I still could not locate it, I doubled back up I25 to where Pikes Peak Traveland is located. Justin jumped in our RV to help us find the coach fuse box which was almost hidden in the rear of the coach and then proceeded to help me find the other two places where fuses are located on our 30 foot Jayco Class C motorhome. Having just had shoulder surgery, Justin had Jeff, the service tech crawl under the dash to see which fuses were blown and promptly solved the problem. This is a quality shop folks. If you need help, contact them and I'm sure you will be just as pleased with their service (and Michelle's assistance) as we were. read more

They replaced my awning on my camper. They did a great job on the service but, they quoted me 750.00 and when the work was done my bill was 979.00. I was told the awning was 350 but ended up being 443 plus 60 in freight I was not told about. Get your estimate in writing. read more

Helped a friend purchase a new pull behind. Purchased with cash except $5000 on a debit card. Caught a hard time due to the $150 n credit card fees. Is this professional? Was charged $199 just to show me how things worked. I bet other dealers would not charge me? They tried to charge me for a hitch set up when the one I had was better. I felt this was hostile vs. value added. When I went to pick up the brand new unit they said it's in the car wash bay. I was left to my own accord to figure out how to load it onto my truck. Is this a friendly dealer you want to go to. There are lots more dealers around who can and will earn your business. read more

Outstanding service with people that stand behind the quality of their product! We have regularly used Traveland for our minor maintenance and season start and end servicing on our 5th wheel. We had our brakes and wheel bearings serviced last fall. This spring we were on a long distance trip and had the end of one of our axles fail. After having it fixed on the road (three weeks for a new axle) we made it back to Colorado Springs and dropped off our 5vr for some slide-out service and mentioned the problem we had with the axle. Michael (head of Service Dept) asked if I had pictures of the axle problem and to send them to him. He contacted me later and said it was possible an axle nut had come off and since they had last worked on the wheel they may have contributed to the problem so they would make it right. I had neither asked for or expected them to stand by their service last year; however they didn't hesitate to go above and beyond to make it right. I took my a class RV to PPT for some insurance work. If I had to do it again I would have run as fast as I could in the other direction. They replaced the roof A/C units with the cheapest Coleman units they could find. There was some damage to the trim that was never dealt with. They were suppose to install a new Antenna unit complete as paid for by the insurance, all they did was change the plastic cover that had broken. They kept the entire insurance check even though they did not do the complete job. I will never ever go back to this business for any reason, ever. Robert B read more

2 weeks ago, we drove up onto the lot, not realizing they were closed or actually by appointment only. Fortunately, we were the only customers there so Mike was ready to show us some campers!!! We had just come from another RV Dealer and once we told Mike what we wanted, he had the perfect fit for us! The next day, we bought the camper! This was a very EASY and SMOOTH transaction! Kevin in Finance was awesome! We signed out papers in a matter of minutes (we paid in full so no financing) and then Larry in Service took us thru the trailer, inside and out! All hooked up, schooled on camper and owners in a matter of 2 hours! Great business!! Great people!!! Had hail damage to roof vents of Lance slide in last night, nothing to keep the rain out. Just dropped in, Service Dept very busy but black clouds in sky had me desperate. Michael in Service said Tech was at lunch, but as soon as he got back they would change out vents for me. They very kindly did. I have thought long and hard about this review. If I could give minus stars, I would. ***BUYER BEWARE*** This is the last place I will ever buy an RV from again. This was our first RV purchase and the WORST experience I have had. The purchase went smooth, the inspection when we picked it up went smooth. We signed our paperwork and Kevin in the finance Dept. could not calculate our taxes correctly that they needed to submit to the DMV in Douglas County for us to be able to register our vehicle. He said during our signing he did not know the tax rate, but would figure it out. That in itself should have been a HUGE red flag. We left trusting that they would communicate with us if we needed to do anything further. Then the wait began. April 5th we get a voicemail from Kevin, telling us that our lender called enquiring as to why we had not registered our RV trailer yet. Ummm Kevin because we had not received notice from the DMV that everything was clear and we could. I go to the DMV and they said they received the paperwork from the dealer and it was wrong so they sent it back to them in February and then sent a follow up letter to them in March asking them to fix it and resubmit it. I called Kevin (he did not answer) left a voicemail, called Heather who he said to call if he was not there (she did not answer) left a voicemail. called the next day left a voicemail for both of them again, because they did not answer again. called the following day left another voicemail for both, still no response. Sent an email copied in my salesperson Mike, finally received a response from Kevin, who had the nerve to blame us. He said he sent us the paperwork so we could fix their mistake and that it was our fault because he sent it certified and could see delivery had been attempted, he never called to tell us he was sending the paperwork to us, had he we would have watched for it. We never received a notice from the Post office. The post office said it may have blown away in the wind and that happens quite often. Had Kevin called we would have know it was coming and then watched for it. He never called and said hey I messed up, had he I would have been ok lets fix this what do you need from us. When I called him out on his errors it became a battle of what we did wrong and he never once owned his mistake as the finance person, he never apologized. I never heard from our salesperson, I called and left 2 messages for the GM, Tim who called me back on a Saturday and said he would be there part of the day, I called him back 20 minutes later and he had left already. Left another voicemail never heard back. Not one person there has made any attempt to satisfy me the customer. I should not have to do their work, I am the customer. They lie, they blame, they do not own their errors. All it would have taken to fix this was a phone call saying hey we are sorry we messed up, but what I got was the run around, no calls, nothing. it took 3 more emails to find out they finally resent my paperwork, but they used a different carrier that refuses to leave paperwork requiring a signature, so I had the joy of driving 30 minutes to go pick it up from their office. I finally have my paperwork and now I get to do their job and take the paperwork to the DMV and pay them the $405.19 error in tax calculation and register my RV, so I can get my plates and finally use it. "Do not buy from this dealership." They are not good people no matter how much they spew God in their responses on here. Christ asked people to own their mistakes and apologize, which they do not understand how to do that let alone the job they get paid to do. What Pikes Peak RV fails to understand is I know more then they think I do, and I am not above warning future potential customers of how horrible they are to deal with when they mess up!!! I will use every platform to let people know not to shop here.!!!! **UPDATE: DMV said the dealership should have NEVER "Pawned" the paperwork off on us to fix/file. Per DMV they are required to handle all paperwork themselves.I have thought long and hard about this review. We just purchased a new travel trailer from Pikes Peak Traveland. The whole experience has been great and I can't say enough good things about them. Our salesman Jeff was very helpful and knowledgeable, as well as Ron in Finance. Both were a pleasure to work with. Larry gave us a very thorough and excellent orientation of our new trailer. I asked for a quote on installing a roof vent in a van. I gave specifics such as: there was not an existing home with wiring. the metal and insulation need to be cut, I need a 12 volt fan in the roof vent. I was told that the price is $569 with no parts included, and that rate "could go up significantly". So basically, they want almost $600 to only cut a hole in the roof. read more

I took our 2009 Coleman Utah Popup in for servicing there for the first time ever. Originally we needed the hose that goes into our water storage tank replaced as it was dried out and cracked at the seams, but decided to get camper winterized since it was going to be below freezing the next day. Unfortunately, winterization could not be completed as the toilet in the camper was blowing fuses, got a call from the service department and the toilets pump needed to be replaced. I told them to replace this part and would get a call again a few days later and the lift mechanism for the roof to be lifted was no longer cranking properly, after two weeks and a lot more money everything is now fixed and should be just like new. Thanks to all the staff who work in the service department for keeping me up to date on the status of our camper and appreciate them not doing any work without my approval. I will most definitely use Pike Peak Traveland for all my servicing needs in the future, and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I needed a circuit board for my furnace and what should have been about $100 was $180 there. I could have ordered it, but I needed it that day. I guess that's what happens when you have an emergency situation. I felt like I got hosed big time. read more

2018 Jayco Greyhawk MV is advertised on RV Trader. We called to confirm it was there, then made a 20 mile trip to see the vehicle (last Saturday). The response was the GM has it at his home for wedding guests to stay in. The salesman told us to come back to see it soon because many people were interested in it. We again this Saturday made the 20 mile trip to see the listed RV. When we inquired where it was on the lot and we were told the GM was camping with it!! We won't be going back and will buy elsewhere. read more

Went to Pikes Peak Traveland prepared to purchase a motorhome this week. First of all, I am disabled and was unable to get my mobility scooter to the motorhome we were interested in because of deep gravel covering the lot. There was no offer to move the vehicle in order to facilitate my disability, but after getting stuck and having to have my husband dig the scooter out more than once, I was finally able to get to the vehicle. After a thorough inspection of the motorhome and finding several problems with the vehicle such as windshield wipers that didn't work, a cracked furnace cover, a window cover that was torn and shedding, etc. We expressed our concerns and asked if on a consignment vehicle there would be any room to negotiate the price. Patrick, who seemed like a nice person, assured us there was. Up to this point, we had never driven the motorhome, but he asked us how much we wanted to pay. I stated I didn't want to make an offer until we had driven it. My husband handed him his driver's license but Patrick continued to ask what our offer would be. I had read many articles on bargaining for a motorhome and, since I had already told him we wouldn't be making any serious offers until we had driven the vehicle, I decided to follow motorhome buying advice and tell him, at that point, without having driven it, we wouldn't be offering any more than half the sticker price on the window. The 2016 motorhome with over 8000 miles was priced within $5000 of a brand new 2018 direct from Thor motorhomes. Patrick looked at me incredulously and said: "Out the door?" I stated again that, not having driven it, or even started it, to see whether it was comfortable to drive, whether the issues we had noticed up to this point might also be reflected in the ride, the engine, etc... they could make a counter offer but we wanted to drive it. Despite our repeated requests to test drive it and our repeatedly stating we would entertain a counter offer, neither was offered, nor was there any reassurance that any of the issues we had seen would be addressed and fixed. We finally told them we were going to walk away. Today Patrick called to tell us another couple was "seriously" interested and he wanted to give us a chance between they came to look at it. I told him I was concerned about the way we were treated by them and wouldn't be doing business with them. Patrick hung up on me. I don't know how they got all the good reviews they have, but our experience was obviously not good at all. read more
