The Curves athletic program involves circuit training - a number of workout/weight machines arranged in a circle/oval with recovery stations in between. The machines are incredibly easy to use, and a trainer walks you through the use of them your first time through. A complete workout is two times around the circuit and takes about 30 minutes including a cool down period. The gyms are spacious and clean, always well-ventilated with motivational music playing and trainers standing in the middle of the circle getting you pumped up. Every thirty seconds a recording tells you it is time to change stations, so you never have time to get bored. The machines do not need to be reset between users, and you can control the intensity of your own workout by increasing the effort with which you move on the machine. The arrangement in a circle allows you to carry on conversations with all of the other "guests" and makes for a community atmosphere. They are always having different promotions. At one time they had games on Fridays, they run boot camps at different times during the year, and have a variety of different things going on - all to keep our interest up. This particular location has a wonderful manager who takes an interest in all her "clients". I can't recommend this location enough. My favorite part? The women who work out here come in all shapes and sizes. Nobody looks like a steroid enhanced gym rat. These are real women, in all their glory, not intimidating at all! Its half hour full body work out and a 10 minute stretch routine. It's a little more than other gyms but it offers more of a personal trainer aspect. They record your measurements and weight monthly and a smart key is included with it so you can track your workouts/calories burned, etc. Women and employees are very friendly there, they have a great selection of workout clothes and vitamin/nutritious food items. I could go on forever, but basically this is a great solution for someone who is looking for a simple work out routine without much thought process.

From check in time to rooming, I waited about 45 minutes. From rooming until the nurse practitioner came in, about about another 45 minutes went by and by the time the doctor came in, another 30 minutes had elapsed. We waited close to two hours for less than a 15 minute follow up. Above all, no one came in to check on us and no one apologized for the wait. The only redeeming factor of the visit is Dr Narang's bedside manner, which was pleasant. No one should have to wait that long to see a physician and especially not a patient in their 80s. In the spirit of full disclosure, this was our first appointment here. I will update upon our second appointment if there are improvements in the flow of things.
