Nathan made us feel welcome and gave us a brief tour of his studio before starting the session. His calm and patient demeanor allowed me to fully absorb the experience. He began with deep breathing exercises, emphasizing their importance. Then, he led us through a series of yoga poses, each progressively more challenging. We had some pain in different parts of our bodies, but by the end of the session, it was gone! I'm looking forward to sleeping better tonight and feeling sharper mentally, as I was able to release the stresses of the day. Nathan specializes in sciatic nerve pain and also teaches techniques that can be done at home or at the office. I highly recommend attending a session with him to relieve pain, sharpen your mindset, and improve your sleep. He recently won THE BEST yoga studio in Ventura County by the VC STAR readers! Give him a try!

AGAPE is the organization that runs the pickleball program here. You can register for any of their…read moreofferings at https://www.agapetennisacademy.com/ In addition to private lessons and league play scheduled throughout the week, AGAPE offers a three house Drill and Play session on Fridays from 9 am to Noon, for only $20. Such a deal! It's three hours of pickleball for the price of two. The three hour session starts with the Coach Meredith demonstrating a particular skill or strategy. Then the Coach circulates and monitors the students practicing the skill, giving direction where necessary. The second half of the session is leveled play. Usually there are 16-24 players. Coach Meredith sets up the games so you are usually playing against players at your level. The Coach is stationed on the teaching court. The games are timed. After ten minutes, the foursome you are playing with rotates to the next court. (You continue playing with the same players, but you mix up the teams). Eventually all the players play on the teaching court and have the benefit of Coach Meredith's feedback. Three hours of pickleball is too much for some people. Accordingly, you can leave any time you want. It's not rare for people leave at the two hour mark. Not me though. LOL. Ima be there for the whole thing. I've done the three hour Drill and Play four or five times now. It's made a huge difference in my play. I get more hits on Fridays than I do all the rest of the week combined. All those extra hits have allowed me to finally make a little progress. In addition to the Drill and Play, I've taken a few private lessons with Coach Meredith. She's really a great coach! Highly recommended!!! Mikey C says: see you on Friday!

DO NOT SIGN UP HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE IN A FOREVER CONTACT WITH NO WAY OUT. I've sweat more dealing with the billing than I (or anyone else) have ever sweat at a course. They're calling me weekly just to tell me I need to submit a cancellation in writing and apparently emailing and speaking to management is not satisfactory according to them. Really wanted to love this studio and tried it out for a year but there was no improvement for me personally. I wouldn't even sweat at the level 1 class. It was all the same moves for 50 minutes and I still struggled in a real Pilates class. Nobody checks on your progress, you're invisible until payment is due. I stopped going in December 2025 and hadn't heard from the studio until February 2026 where I had a $498 balance due because I didn't cancel with a written notice 30 days before (even though I've cancelled now, I still receive notifications about how much I owe) and the studio wants me to pay for classes I didn't even take. There's no options to pause enrollment, it's either pay for what you're not going to use or cancel your contract and when you want to come back, you have to repay the enrollment fee and the classes. I wouldn't recommend any club Pilates studios. Waste of time and nobody sweats at these classes. Other Pilates studios actually give you a real work out and make you sweat.,
