She's fantastic!…read more I am not someone who loves to work out, yet ever since I started going to Rei Pilates a few months ago, I find myself coordinating my calendar around how many times I can get there in a week. Something about the tone and vibe of the place (and Rei herself) is energizing. The workout is awesome. I've take pilates at numerous other studios and Rei's classes are the best. Her techniques and moves are fun, efficient, and effective. She switches it up and has you do just enough reps where you feel it working without pushing it to be painful and unpleasant. I've seen more results going to her classes for 6 months than I have in years of going to other studios. And she plays great music which makes the time fly by! The studio itself is clean, modern and bright. She has the new reformers which are sleeker and easier to use than the chunky older ones at other places. (She also stocks the cutest athletic clothes, which are fun to browse after a good workout.) Highly recommend!

I also brought a girlfriend from out of town who's been taking pilates classes for years and she loved this one! Rei was very patient and very positive and provided me with information about how I should modify certain exercises based on my (hopefully temporary) physical limitations. Before starting you fill out a form and I made the instructors aware of my ongoing health issues and recent surgery. They were so accommodating and made adjustments for me during the class so I could handle the moves. It didn't hold up the other students as well which was great. I appreciated being looked after. They have students sanitize their stations after class which is awesome for the next group coming in. The owner remembered me and checked in on how I had felt after my first class when I came in the second time.

It's been six months now since I started I go to class twice a week and I feel like a new person compared to when I first got here Melissa is an amazing teacher with so much knowledge and experience.I have found it hard to find any exercise that didn't hurt my back both prior and post surgery but since I've started practicing Pilates I've found my pain decrease and my strength and flexibility increase greatly and I have no intention of stopping practicing now.
