Teague Pilates is very unique and actually changes your body from the bone to the skin. The movements are very specific and slow. There are fewer reps. There is deep attention to the core. Teague Pilates get into the very tiny muscles next to the bone. The results are significant. I am 75 years old with two hip replacements and a broken humerus that never healed. After about a year with Teague I am stronger, my arm has a lot more movement and length and I can walk forever. Make the change!

It is not just a gym workout. They teach how to get in touch with your body so you can flow more efficiently in class, and also in life. The owner, Cathy is extremely knowledgeable and really cares. Sharon is an excellent, insightful, creative instructor. They also have an infrared sauna, and other machines that are very important for wellness. I started at the Newbury Park location and struggled through my first few classes BUT the inclusive energy and encouragement was evident and I felt so good afterward. I started with Yin Yoga which was a combo of meditation, sound bath, and holding gentle poses. I have taken basic yoga, hot Pilates, and hot yoga flow and every time I see small progress and improvement. I've branched out to the Westlake Village studio for the infrared sauna, ice bath and leg compression. I am stickler for clean and both places are extremely clean. They clean the floors after each session and I never experience strong odors. The Westlake Village studio has plenty of parking and a welcoming entrance. The studio has an open setting and a calm serene aesthetic. I really feel this place is becoming a regular self care destination. Please consider this studio if you are new to yoga and want a positive introduction to the practice. I'm still practicing the ice bath but after the infrared sauna it is so energizing and my skin is ridiculously soft. It's a great mood booster. Enjoy!

Mbody was evicted from their building. They have promised refunds to their clients (myself and…read moreothers) and they have not followed through with them. Incredibly disappointing. Update on my review - after posting this review I received a long email from the owner that talked a lot about her personal life and quite frankly came off very manipulative (I assume the intent was to get me to remove my review). A few days later I did receive a PayPal in the amount of $740 that they owed me but the PayPal did not go through. I never paid via PayPal but they said they did that because their account was "working through a temporary security related restriction with their primary business account". They sent a PayPal as a means to pay immediately however they never checked if I use PayPal. I did Zelle them money at point so they could have used Zelle but did not. Their PayPal did not clear and I was told it was flagged as fraud on their end and they approved the transaction to clear yet I still have not received my funds. I have offered to be paid in equipment as a means to end this but they haven't taken me up on the offer and currently I haven't even heard back from them. At this point their business is listed as open and you can still book on their website which isn't accurate. Please don't send them your money.

Been a member for about 2 years. The gym has nice equipment, tons of classes all good. However, the…read moregym has becoming increasingly crowded and members use the walking areas to spread out equipment so it becomes very difficult to move about the gym easily. The two small mat areas for stretching are crowded and often times unavailable. I often see coaches chit chatting on the mats and taking up space that could be used for workouts. The movable equipment like the boxes often are filled with personal item like phone and headsets so it's not easy to just grab what you need easily. Several times over the past few months the gym has had no hot water and/or no steam. I utilize the gym before work so this is a major issue. In fact as a write this just received a notification of no hot water. ‍ The sign up part was awesome, with Equinox providing guests passes, gift receipts for the store etc....ending the membership, however, has been painful. I started the process a week ago and my email wasn't on file despite providing all of my info thru the signup process. When I attempted to end my membership thru the email provided it had expired only two days later. Calling back, had to provide my email again. Went thru the cancellation process only to encounter an "error" at the end. Attempted several additional times with same result. Called the club and was informed a "report" had to be made and sent to the general manager for approval. What? My husband is now encountering the same shenanigans. No email on file, no address blah blah. The Equinox front desk manager was rude and condescending saying "I'm sorry mame" over and over. Extremely disingenuous attitude and tone as if just to get me off the phone and not genuinely sorry. Overall an awful experience. Beware, this is a hotel California membership.
