So sad to see service businesses that can't support their longterm clients in difficult situations. Lovely instructor and prenatal class. Just wish the music and tempo was a bit more intense throughout, felt the class was great but would be excellent if it was a bit more of a work out vibe with work out music instead of slower / relaxed. With the slower Pilates classes I take, I tend to watch the clock. More of a personal preference for me vs anything else. read more

UPDATE on 10/6/22: This post was done today, and today they got in touch with me and refunded me the remaining balance I'd paid. So, I have updated the stars from 2 to 4 (I would do 3 1/2 if allowed, because I've not been able to get the private professional pilates/instruction I seriously need). I appreciate this level of customer service, though. One thing I will say that is in favor of PilateSmith, is that despite the lack of ease with scheduling, they do respond quickly during the day. This is a good thing! Updated 10/9/22: However, the response from the owner saying that they allowed me to advance schedule is false - other than scheduling a week in advance (as I noted in my review below), blaming me for the issues... the idea here if I'm going to do business with someone, is that I should be informed well in advance of how things work with this business, I should get exceptional products and services, and at an agreed upon price. I am merely stating that I was never told "here is how we work.., we are not using MindBody, and for privates you must book through me, via email or phone. Our schedule is fluid and flexible but you can only book within the month we are in, not ahead of the month (not even in the last week of a month)... if I'd been communicated this up front, there would be a whole other review here. I would have understood up front and adjusted accordingly, or simply not purchased again. It is just not cool. Original Review from 10/6/22: The studio atmosphere is great, the location is awesome (for me). They struggle to offer a variety of times with good private instructors. My first trainer was amazing, but after a few sessions and my being absent with work travel, she moved and was no longer there. I tried another who was not very good, and then I got someone I really liked. But the studio is a challenge to book with. They are not on MindBody. You have to go to them to schedule via email, and it's not easy to do that with a busy schedule. If you want to work ahead of schedule, because you're busy and you travel for work (or are simply busy with work!), you may be out of luck. In mid September they would not allow me to try and book with the trainer I liked for October, because the "schedule wasn't up." Fine, but I requested to be put on a list for a certain time, on certain days, and was told that would be fine. Fast forward to October, and I was not contacted, and the times I wanted were gone. Also, if you ask them about moving your private session within 24 hours (even if it's 22 hours or whatever), you will likely lose the $90 you paid, because of the limited trainer availability and their limited studio hours. read more

I was a bit intimidated going into class since it was only my second time doing reformer pilates, but it was super enjoyable. I took the novice class with Rachel and it turned out to be semi-private since there was only 3 of us. It was easy to follow along with the movements and I felt the burn without feeling like I was dying - the 50 minutes flew by. You're just the right amount of sore after and feel strong. It's a cute studio that feels quite intimate since the classes are smaller than others I've seen. Bought a 5 pack of classes immediately after I left! Excited to work Pilatesmith into my fitness routine! Just wish it was more affordable, but that's my gripe with every pilates studio. read more

I went here for my first reformers class and it was great! Thalia was super attentive to all members of the class and instructions were clear. Super positive atmosphere and I got a great workout in!! I was new to the studio and signed up for their Pre/Post Natal class. Cynthia was our sub instructor, and she was fantastic!! I love how she incorporated some TRX movements as well on top of your usual reformer routines. The class had a great combination of being challenging and at the same time we were given many opportunities for recovery and stretches. The classes were OK but the problem was that I bought a package not knowing that the package is not transferable and it expires after a couple of months. It was not something that I wanted to do regularly and was hard for my body. My husband wanted to try them and see if it works for him and they would not allow that And then it expired. This workout felt great! I'm a runner and I was looking for a class to stretch out and strengthen my muscles in a different way. The instructor led us through a series of exercises for 50 minutes, helping us with our form along the way. It was a full-body workout, beginning with legs, then core, then arms, that focused on lengthening muscles through slow and steady exercises. I loved the class and can't wait to go back! read more

Like the other comments here, I am pretty blown away at the quality of the class I took with Cynthia. She was patient, encouraging, had a well structured and interesting workout. Music at pilates studios if usually horrible techno and too loud. Not here. It was the perfect volume of nice music that didn't overpower. The decor, front desk, instructor, and class were all on point! Clean machines, bathrooms, and lots of air flow thanks to the high ceilings and air purifier. I was really looking forward to trying an "Athletic Pilates style" class by signing up for the Apprentice, but to my disappointment, not enough people signed up so I was offered a credit or another spot in the Control Pilates class happening at the same time. So I tried out Control and was pleasantly surprised by the various accessories used to target different muscle groups (ring, weights, box, etc.). It was a nice well-rounded class, but not what I was expecting. I was impressed by the TRX and BOSU ball equipment next to each reformer. I would definitely take another class to try out a different style/technique! read more

I had a great first time at this studio taking the apprentice pilates class. It was easy to check in and the facility is very nice and clean. Also, my instructor was great. She was extremely nice and made me feel super confident and motivated. As someone who has only done a few reformer pilates classes but has taken many lagree classes on a Megaformer, I really appreciated the athletic style of this class and how it targets several different muscle groups. It made me break a sweat and I felt like it was a good workout. The only downside are the prices at this studio but I definitely will be going back! read more

Took the Heat Pilates (adv) and was not expecting it to be such a great workout! Usually traditional reformer classes barely get me to sweat or make me take breaks to catch my breath but boy was this class different - and harder than any reformer or lagree class I've taken - and I was very impressed. My arms and legs were shaking at the end. It was very arms and legs focused and while I wish there was a bit more ab focused, I wouldn't have changed anything else. It was a smaller class which was ideal because it really pushed me to not give up, felt like I was in a one-on-one class. One of my new favorite studios and I will be back! read more

This place is so disrespectful!!! I have unsubscribed at least 4 times yet I keep getting emails sent to me directly from the owner. I made a mistake signings up for their monthly program and they keep hunting me. This place is ridiculously expensive with added money making policies in addition to their monthly membership. They charge you to cancel while asking you to give them a written only notice for cancellation and then they keep harassing you with emails even if you unsubscribe. STAY AWAY!!!! read more
