It has a limited collection of few t-shirts and sweaters (if you want shirts with funny and cute designs, go to Made in Omaha across the street). This store sells a few souvenir items from Nebraska like magnets, keychains. They also have greeting cards, umbrella, toys like harmonica, and stuffed toys shaped like corn, etc. The lady at the Tannenbaum Christmas Shop answered my questions about the merchandise on Old Market Sundries section. Items are reasonably priced.

We were able to find all the keychains and shot glasses we needed. Not only did they have Omaha/NE branded items, but they also got items from nearby Iowa. If you are planning on driving through Iowa but still want to take a piece home for yourself, then this is a good spot to stock up as well. The day we shopped here turned out to be the cashier's first day. We had a good time chit chatting about our travels on Route 66 and how we had been on the road for what felt like decades. With great service and a nice selection, this is certainly the best one-stop shop that I can think of for anything Omaha related.

Another thing that caught my eye was a plethora of Swedish dish cloths in a wide assortment of colorful patterns. I bought three of them for gifts. There are many books and toys, Christmas ornaments, aprons, wool socks and Scandinavian sweaters. And of course there are Dala horses in many sizes and colors.There is much more in this well-stocked store. I had my picture taken with the friendly store dog who wanders around. As a life long resident of Omaha, my earliest memories of The Old Market begin with big family get…read moretogethers at Spaghetti Works. I'm happy that now an adult I spend a lot more time and all over the Old Market a there are so many wonderful local businesses on Howard street. Many of the eateries include historic photos of the blocks considered OM. Le Buillon even tell a story of how one man saved the OM from becoming a park garage. It's a staple in Omaha. If you are only in town for a day, it's worth it to park and walk up and down the brick paved roads. Theres now in 2024 ample parking around the area with 2+ garages. Too bad we lost free weekend parking, but Sundays are still free. There is so much to eat, drink, and shop on these blocks. My faves include Made in Omaha, Godega Market, Eat the Worm (lol), and of course Spaghetti Works, for nostalgia. It's our special area in Omaha and I will love to watch it continue to flourish.
