This service is awful. They scheduled delivery from 3-7pm and the guy tried to deliver at noon. I work. Then they missed the time window entirely and tried to deliver at almost 8pm. I was out. The next day no delivery or call at all. I called, no answer. The following day I called and scheduled a new delivery time, this time the guy did show up. In unloading it he bent a panel on the appliance. Then I asked him to push it 5 feet further, through my door, and he refused. I mentioned him being 2 days late. No apology. "I had other deliveries, man." And then "I was going to deliver yours last today but I was nearby." He then asks me to sign the delivery release, but has no pen for me to sign with. "I lost it." When I told him I also had no pen he went to his truck and got one. Try to avoid using this company if at all possible. I cant imagine much worse. read more

Pilot cancelled my order for delivery and lied to the manufacturer that I cancelled delivery.Which was a bold face lie from christa at pilot. Thank goodness I called Lifetime play house and told them Pilot cancelled delivery on their own. We caught them in a lie and now they will be delivering my order tomorrow hopefully. I ordered an elliptical from Dicks sporting goods. They use LAX Pilot Freight delivery and I paid $250 extra to have them walk 10 feet into my house and assemble. The date for delivery was 20 days out but I knew they had to coordinate the assembly. I called Pilot 5 days later since their site didn't allow me to schedule delivery time. They said they'd contact me since they were looking for assemblers. I called a week later and got same answer. I called Dicks who also called Pilot and said they'd contact me in a couple days. I called A week later, on the day it was to arrive, and asked for Mgr. who said they could not deliver my item and never would. She said they had been telling Dicks that they couldn't handle these deliveries for months. So why take the order- why not tell me the first two times I or Dicks called so I wasn't so inconvenienced?! They were rude and unapologetic. Dicks refunded my money but I'm so disappointed. Pilot should not be allowed to conduct business in this fraudulent manner and Dicks should be more astute. read more

We are a business with both in-person and remote clients. We need to have items shipped to us and back to our customers on a regular basis. Pilot's pricing, which is quite competitive, is why we have opted to use them as often as we have. But, we need our shipments to be on time and the items to be delivered safely and undamaged. Pilot Freight Services fails to deliver on both of those counts. We and our customers often received valuable items with severe damage and/or well after the promised delivery date. Contacting Pilot customer service is a veritable circus act, apparently designed to tie customers up on the phone until they give up in frustration. Calls and emails take days or weeks to be returned. If you call them, you will be transferred to Pilot customer service centers in just about every time zone in America before eventually winding up right back on-hold for the office you originally called. And it will take an hour to get there. Pilot's dispute system is nothing more than a kangaroo court, designed to keep customers waiting for months so that they give up on any hopes of recovering their losses. When disputes are finally resolved, Pilot offers a tiny fraction of their customer's financial loss in compensation, if they offer anything at all. For example, Pilot destroyed an item valued at over $9000.00 and offered us a paltry $90 to cover the damages. Like most freight brokers, Pilot uses third-party haulers to pick up, transport and deliver most Less-Than-Truckload shipments. Getting simple instructions through the chain of these various providers is a literal nightmare. A basic request, like delivering a delicate, heavy item strapped to its pallet, as it was when picked up, is often met with undue resistance and almost never followed. Our saga with Pilot ended when they delivered an international shipment WEEKS late and, of course, severely damaged. When arranging for the item to be returned to us, we made multiple requests to have the driver re-strap the unit to the pallet in front of the consignee, so that we could verify that it was done. They showed up at the consignee's home 3 or 4 times, each time without a pallet or straps, before finally just wrapping the package in plastic while sitting on a pallet. They then transported the unit to their warehouse where it sat for weeks while nothing happened. When we called them to get a status, they informed us that they were not going to ship it back to us and that they had abandoned it in a local warehouse facility near the border. We were told that we would have to arrange for another shipping company to RESCUE the package and get it shipped back to us in Southern California! Anyone requiring shipping or freight services should take Pilots advice to us and USE ANOTHER COMPANY. We would give them zero stars if it were an option read more

I purchased 4grand worth of flooring product from lowes and found out that lowes uses this company as a third party for Lowe's deliveries. I was told that my delivery would happen between 8am and 12pm. It's now 2:20pm and I had to call to find out that the delivery has changed to between 1:30 and 5:30pm. I could have been at another job. I am a business owner who does regular business with Lowes but this third party company is Terrible with customer service and the yelp reviews for this company makes that extremely clear. This business is a scam. Do NOT buy anything from them. They are online under a bunch of different websites. One is Retro Sweet Home, Multicolor, Summerhauls, Snacytee, City Bark, Higozy, Zamyiashop. The claim to do refunds and returns but then require you to ship your item back to China. It ends up not being worth it because it costs too much. Their customer service is horrible. The main issue above all is that their clothing does not look anything like the photos online. Very poor quality. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience with Pilot Freight Services recently. First I contacted them regarding my Walmart.com return. They said they would call me back to schedule a pickup service. BUT THEY LIED. I waited one week and no one wanna contact me. OK. I called them back. Then they scheduled a 6-hour time window for the pickup and promised they would call me 30 minutes ahead. BUT THEY LIED. I waited at home to the last minute, no calls, nobody came up. OK. I called them back again. The explanation was miscommunication with their driver. OK. I accepted. Then they rescheduled another 4-hour time window for the pickup and promised again calling me 30 minutes ahead. BUT THEY LIED. No calls, no one showed up. I called them back once more. The explanation was still the same, "miscommunication with their driver". Excuse me!! This is NOT acceptable anymore! This is the worst delivery/pickup service I have ever seen. They never value their customers. They called me back the day after for apology and rescheduling. But I refused their further service. How can I trust such a company one more time? This has to be the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I show up right when they open and I'm standing right by the window and the woman refuses to acknowledge me. Finally, I have to literally walk up face to face to the window before getting helped. After receiving my receipt, I hand it to a guy on a forklift and he tells me "give me a minute". Was told once the item was received at their shipping facility, we would receive a phone call from them to schedule a delivery appointment. Didn't happen. Ok , so scheduled one online. Item was to be delivered between 11am-3pm. 3:30 , no delivery. Call them to find out whats happening. 15 minutes on hold then we are informed the item was "left behind" (????), although their online tracking said the item had gone out for delivery at 12:48. So they will make delivery the next day, same time frame, because it was "too late" for them to schedule that day. Never mind I had to take the day off from work to accomodate them in the first place. So now I am worried they stole the item and we will not get it. read more

After reading some reviews of Pilot, I realized that I should be proactive about scheduling the delivery of my gaming table, so as soon as it was marked as arriving in Hawthorne, I gave them half a day to call me and when they didn't I went on to their website and took the initiative to schedule delivery through their online service, which worked fine. You had to pick a four hour delivery window so I set mine for 3pm-7pm and then I was waiting. Day of delivery, I got a call from my friendly driver, Sam, at 3:30pm, informing me that he would arrive between 20-30 minutes and sure enough, he arrived at 3:50 with my table. Sam went beyond the call of duty, taking an extra two or three minutes to help me get my very heavy table to my door. The box itself was in excellent condition with only a few scuff marks from transport and the contents in perfect condition. The only complaint I would have with Pilot is that they didn't call me to set up delivery when my package arrived at the local office, which is significant, but their online scheduling service works and my driver was excellent. read more

Ordered a 4K TV through Amazon. Arrived to this location on 12/13. Delivery scheduled for 12/21 9am-9pm. At around 430pm I called and they said driver would be there around 5pm. At 545pm I called and they said driver was on his way back to Hawthorne and TV never made it on the truck because they couldn't find it in their warehouse (this is after I took the day off work to wait for this scheduled delivery arranged 3 weeks prior). Next day, their own website says "out for delivery", I call to verify and they said they still couldn't find TV in warehouse and that the website was automated, not actually scanned product as out for delivery. Pilot neglected to show up for a scheduled pick up with no notice and missed a four hour window for the reschedule. When I finally got to speak to the manager Anthony over the phone after being shuffled around on hold for about an hour, he was completely unsympathetic, unapologetic, unhelpful and arrogant. I was expecting the worst, after reading so many one star reviews on various Pilot Freight listing locations. However, everything went well, so I have no complaints. I ordered a dishwasher from Abt in Chicago. The tracking info said it would be delivered on 11/30 by 5 p.m. When I saw that it had arrived in LA on 11/28, I called Pilot. A pleasant woman asked if I'd like it a day early, and I said sure. I checked the website a few hours later and the new date had been entered. She had given me a delivery window of noon-4 p.m. At 1:50 p.m. the truck (a Budget rental) arrived. The driver was pleasant, and put the dishwasher outside where I asked him to leave it. While I understand others have had bad experiences, my experience was only positive. read more

I had a delivery scheduled for today - 8/21/2019 between 10a and 6p. I called at 10a and was told that the delivery would arrive by 4p. At 4p I called and was put on hold for 13 minutes while a representative checked on the status of the delivery. I was dispatched to a company representative in Syracuse, New York. Their representative told me that they were not informed that the package was on their dock. NOW - I have to be home all day tomorrow for a delivery between 11a and 3p. I called Pilot and asked to speak with a supervised. AGAIN I was put on hold and had to listen to Pilot´s canned recording raving about their great company, their GPS tracking, and their excellent services. I am beyond angry as I now wait for one of three supervisors whom I was told were in a meeting. I will update this if there is a reasonable response to my complaint. I will never have this company deliver anything for me. I bought a monitor from Dell. Dell told me to expect it to arrive on or before December 30. I did not get by Dec 30, so; I called Dell. The Dell rep conferenced me with Pilot National Customer Service agent who told me to expect a call from Pilot Office in LAX and provided me their phone number in case they did not call. They did not call. So, I called them. They told me that there has been a delay but they did not know why. They scheduled the shipment for the next day Dec 31 between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm and told me the driver will call me half an hour before he arrives. I called them the morning of Dec 31 to confirm the schedule and asked if they could give a better estimate instead of having to wait four hours; they insisted on the 11 to 3 time window. I said fine. I waited for the driver to call at 11, 12, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, no call. I called their office at 3:15 told the operator I have not received my shipment; she transferred me to a number that kept ringing. Ten or fifteen minutes later she came on the line asking who I was holding for. I told her again that I have not received my shipment. She said 'oh, it's you' and transferred me again. This happened four times and finally someone answered. He put me on hold for about fifteen minutes to check the shipment status. Then told me that the shipment will not be delivered today. I asked why; he said that the driver left it behind and asked me if they could schedule the shipment for Thursday Jan 2. I told him to cancel the shipment; he said ok. I called Dell and asked to cancel the shipment because I did not want to deal with this Pilot company. They did not deliver it on schedule to begin with; they did not provide a reason for delay. They rescheduled the shipment and kept me waiting a whole day; did not have the courtesy to even call me to let me know they were not going to deliver so I did not have to wait. It's the worst in customer service I have encountered in a long time. read more
