So here's my honest advice: Book one night in the big suite, don't interact with management or the events team, eat somewhere else, and leave. You'll actually enjoy yourself. Here's the reality: It's gorgeous on the outside. But in my experience, there's no soul or integrity behind the facade. The service culture feels stuck in a bygone era - and not in a charming way. The locker rooms are cramped, poorly maintained, and frankly, they smell. The food is forgettable. The spa feels pretentious and operates on what I can only describe as a 1987 business model. I was told I'd need to order a nail job just to access the steam room. Make it make sense. The concierge was genuinely lovely - but it felt like her hands were tied by management's outdated approach. She seemed to want to help more than the system would allow. The events department was, in my experience, a major disappointment. Communication felt disorganized and unresponsive. When I asked for a simple proposal, I was told they "couldn't possibly do that for every inquiry" - in 2025, when AI tools can generate a polished, customized proposal in minutes. I tested it myself using Canva and Claude with their own metrics. Took me four minutes. The resistance to modernizing felt deliberate. Outside of the top-tier suites - which are reasonably priced by Colorado standards ---this felt like a mediocre hotel calling itself a resort. It is not The Broadmoor. It is not a Four Seasons. Those places deliver hospitality with humanity. This felt more like a zombie party with a great view. My honest opinion? It feels like ownership is either disengaged, burnt out, or simply no longer pursuing excellence. That said - if you're a Colorado local, the 10% room discount is a nice touch. Choose your room wisely, skip on-site dining, and check out 503W nearby for great prices and actual atmosphere. For corporate events? I'd look elsewhere.

It is sometimes noisy, trains and planes mostly, but for us it really didn't take much away from the beauty of this park. I would stay here again in a second. This is one of the better FamCamps in the system. Customer service is excellent. Pea-gravel sites are long and have decent space between them, especially on the patio side, with a metal picnic table and BBQ grill. Some are not satellite friendly unless you have a portable dish antenna, something I had to do, but it wasn't a big deal since we are usually prepared for any shortcomings a park might have. The water pressure is very high so make sure you bring a regulator. I measured 90 pounds when I hooked up. That's enough to blow a weak connection. The electricity was great and we never had a failure. The sewer hookup was good and they have a free dump station if you need it. Don't let the noise bother you as its a minor thing really. If you go for walks or bike rides you'll most likely see some wild life. There are places to fish and the views are great.

This is the best "Best Western" I've ever stayed…read more The interior is super nice and clean. The employees are helpful and responsive. The free breakfast is varied and tasty. I especially liked the salsa verde for my eggs and the Cholula on every table (it's the best breakfast hot sauce in my opinion). The views out of my room window were beautiful. The rates were reasonable. The location was perfect for everything I was doing on a four day stay in Colorado Springs. So it has almost everything you would want in a hotel. Five stars, right? Well, actually, there is this one thing... I want to give the five. I really do. Loved it here. But the hot water, y'all. I was at the end of the hall, Room 438, and I literally had to wait ten to fifteen minutes for the water to get warm. Not hot. Warm. How this otherwise perfect hotel doesn't have on demand water is mind blowing. This is the American West. Water, or lack thereof, is ALWAYS an issue here. We can't be wasting water and time waiting for the water to get warm when on demand would immediately solve the problem. I seriously wonder if the hot water heater is located on the first floor. It takes that long. All that having been said, this is still my top Best Western. And I've stayed in a lot. If I'm in Colorado Springs, this is where I'm gonna be. I'll just be waking up with an ice cold shower.

I visited The Broadmoor Manitou and took the 1: 30 pm Pikes Peak Cog Railway, and it was the best…read moreexperience. I booked my tickets in advance, and it was a Friday. Our conductor, Jim, was the funniest yet most informative person. He made sure the trip was smooth and on time, along with the person he called the "coach engineer," or the train's driver. The entire trip lasted 3 hours, 1 hour each way to and from the summit, plus exactly 45 minutes at the top. The train has large windows that let you soak in the stunning scenic views. The sights are breathtaking, with a variety of rocks, some rugged mountains, diverse vegetation depending on the altitude, and snow- capped peaks. When we reached the summit, we were given clear instructions that the train only waits for 45 minutes, and it is very important to stick to that. The summit features a viewpoint, a gift shop, and a food court. Since the summit is at an elevation of 14,000 feet, feeling lightheaded is quite normal. The food court offered donuts, soups, hot chocolate, and many packaged foods. We tried the famous cinnamon donuts and broccoli cheddar soup. The donuts were delicious, and the warm soup helped combat the effects of the altitude. The gift shop also had a good selection of souvenirs, and we picked up some magnets. The summit had a good amount of snow, and it was extremely windy. 45 minutes didn't feel like enough time to fully take in the views because it passed so quickly. Still, we made wonderful memories and took some fantastic photos. The mood on the way back was quite different; most people were tired but happy. Overall, it was a beautiful experience and worth the money, in my opinion. Pro tip: The route is very steep at some points. While choosing the seats when booking, it's important to pick the right direction to avoid motion sickness. The summit can get very cold and windy due to the altitude, so dress appropriately. Outside food is strictly prohibited on the train, but do carry water bottles because staying hydrated helps prevent lightheadedness at the summit.

You are surrounded by beautiful pine or aspen trees. You can tell the owner takes great care of his park. It's very clean as well. There are no fires which is fine but sometimes the management will have a campfire in the picnic area as long as there's not a fire ban or rain. They are dog friendly but a maximum of 2 dogs (need management approval), no WiFi but why would you need it when you got your phones or personal hotspot, no laundry or bathrooms as you need to be fully contained. That is fine with me as I'll know if I catch something it's my own fault not the parks... Amazing views of Pikes Peak... if you can't see it in your site, there are picnic tables in their rocky corral (that's what the managers call it). The rates are pretty reasonable as they have their summer rates which include taxes, electric, water, sewer & trash and then monthly rates start in October. **You need to go 5mph throughout the entire park which is good as I've been in other parks and it gets dangerous when you're out walking and almost getting hit by a speeder, . ** You are located in the city of Woodland Park, Colorado and so you are close to everything. I highly recommend this RV park as I'll be coming for sure next summer.

Cameras throughout the park that will quickly be turned toward your camper if one of the parks snitches rats you out for leaving a soda can outside. The managers Carl and Susan drive by on their golf cart and will look inside your camper. The posted speed limit is 5 mph going up or downhill. If you go 6 mph be prepared for the whole park to get an email about how you were speeding. When it snows good luck cause they aren't plowing anything unless it's over 6 inches. All lots are the same price but some have one parking space and others have 2. Be prepared to give any guests plate, vehicle type, drivers license, social security card and blood type. Does your dog bark? Better not stay here. If you want an overnight guest you have to give a weeks notice. Not a good place for single people. Want your partner to move in? Well unless they are on your Rv title that's considered subletting and will be promptly denied. Do you yawn or sneeze? Keep on driving your too loud. Don't spill a drop of water while filing your tank, you will get a fine. Big dogs are not allowed. Unless you're the park snitch. Then you just take your dog out of the park to go potty and hide him from other guests. Anyone caught in the park who is not a resident will get chased by the golf cart police and will be questioned under a lamp light on what you are doing there and who said you could enter the park. You most have a newer perfect condition camper. Unless you're the local snitch and your camper looks like a baked potato wrapped in aluminum foil.
