Full disclosure: I haven't eaten here yet. Leaving my review based on customer service. I ordered a gift card from Pimmy's online and was expecting to receive an email confirmation or receipt and nothing came. I patiently waited a few days, with still no luck. I called them 4 days later and was surprised by their friendliness! The lady that helped me was so kind and patient. She explained that they don't get a printed receipt from online orders but she was happy to take a picture of the order and text it to me. She did as stated shortly after the call. Quick and easy! It's a very clean dining area every time I come here, smells great, and the restroom is always immaculate. Great tasting food, excellent customer service with a smile, very affordable and large portions, so make sure you're sharing or bring your appetite. All of these things make this Thai takeout spot a go-to in the Tinseltown-Kenosha area. I was craving ethnic food (there's not a ton of ethnic places in Racine/Kenosha) and I stumbled upon Pimmy's online. I decided to go there because it's been a while since I've had Thai food and I love Thai food. I ordered and was instantly impressed because they had interesting items on the menu (like Durian) and the staff actually gave me a disclaimer on it. I liked that they told me it was "different". Durian has a funky smell (which I'm familiar with the knowledge but some one might not know). I was also impressed that they made sure to repeat my order (once I got there) to make sure I left with everything I needed. Finally, I loved the nice way they packaged everything up. It was thoughtful and thought-out. The food was delicious. The smells instantly lit up my kitchen and the flavors seem authentic and tasty. I've had Thai food at other places in Wisconsin that I wasn't exactly a fan of. I really like Pimmy's and think that their flavors are on point. I would definitely recommend this place. Friendly and helpful employees, quick turnaround. The food was tasty, however, serving food in plastic plates, styrofoam and plastic to go containers with plastic utensils degrades the entire ambiance. It's like eating at a mall food court. It was.. okay. Freezing restaurant. They ask you to order at the counter, and then bring the food to your table, in takeout containers. Half the dining room was blocked off. They give you a cheap paper plate, a package of plastic utensils, and one napkin. If you order a drink, they give you a room temperature can of soda with no cup and no ice. They told someone else in the restaurant these were "pandemic measures" even though it is almost 2024 and none of the staff was masked. Seems more like laziness to me, and a wasteful misuse of plastic containers and utensils. The food was just okay. Forgettable rangoon and forgettable pad thai. I would consider trying something else to see if it was more memorable, but certainly wouldn't return for any sort of comfortable ambiance. read more

Since moving from Chicago I have been looking for a new Thai place to satisfy my cravings. I have ordered Pimmy's a couple times now and they have been consistent and delicious every time. My absolute favorite is the Pad Woon Sen. The flavor in the noodles is so rich and savory. I also love all the desserts. This place is more Americanized than authentic... I think that's the best way to describe it. It has good taste. And the staff is friendly. And it's clean. And they are totally prompt with coming back to clear your plates away (sometimes a little too much so). But personally, I like my food authentic. If you're looking for that, this is not it. If you're looking for a good, tasty lunch special, go for it. Green curry - my friend got this expecting something different. She was excited since she had never had green curry before. But it wasn't green curry. it was yellow curry. Nothing special. I love green curry, and I know what came out wasn't green curry. Pad Thai - good! Needs more sprouts, I think. And the beef was leathery. Pad kee Mao - best dish of our dinner. Could have used a little less sugar and a little more salt. I love Pimmy's! Since moving to the Kenosha area in September, I've eaten at this spot pretty much once a week. If you aren't sure what to order, just ask -- the people who work there have fantastic suggestions & are always happy to help! My go-to is chicken pad Thai & a Thai tea, but my boyfriend & I always order a third entree with something different every time so we can explore the menu. Pimmy's is super fresh, super authentic and crazy fast- I mean nutty fast!!! They have many of the typical traditional drinks and fish you'd expect with a few twists... Still a great spot. I ordered ahead for pickup and the food was ready on time. Somehow, even driving home, the food was still hot and we even had to let it cool off. My wife had the Chicken Pad Thai (and I had the leftovers she couldn't eat) and I had the Garlic Noodles with beef. Very tasty, just what I was looking for when I'm thinking Thai food. I tried this restaurant 3 years ago and liked it as the food was similar to the restaurants in Chicago I was used to. The staff was friendly, service was quick, the place is clean and the portions were generous. Ok, sometimes it felt rushed about how quick they wanted to take your order and clear your plates but being that it's small and freezing cold, I was not there to stay. I remember the whole restaurant eating with their winter coats on because that is how cold they kept it one time and decided to not go back. This past weekend, we decided to give it a try and treat ourselves (prices compare to the city) and it was disappointing! We ordered and waited in our car for the order to be ready and drove home only 5 blocks away. Eager to try it again, we all tried it and put it down immediately after. The pad thai noodles were stuck together, dry and rubbery. I couldn't bite into them. The soup was cold and bland. The basil rice was also hard and only tasted like rice and basil leaves with no salt or other flavors.The only edible thing were the crab rangoons which is all we ate. $75 for 2 pad thai dishes, one rice, one soup and crab rangoons, were were left hungry and upset. I will happily make the drive elsewhere for good Thai. read more
