I ordered the grilled chicken plate and it was delicious! The service was attentive and great!

My wife and I met up with my mother-in-law and her friends for dinner one day here and it blew me away! I have had a lot of exposure to Thai food since I lived in SE Asia for a while and to be honest--wasn't expecting much from this place. I ordered the cashew chicken and crab rangoons and I could not get over the flavor! The umami was just heaven in my mouth and everything tasted just like I was back in Thailand! Everyone that was with us raved about the food and to be honest, I know I found my favorite Thai place. Who would have thought that little Racine, Wisconsin would have such a hidden gem??? Not me. But I sure am glad I found it! The best part was that the server was very nice and helpful for some of the ladies that were not sure what to order. She also let them know spicy can be VERY spicy in terms of Thai hot. lol. We also received our food pretty quickly which was surprising for a group of 6. I'll definitely come back here because you can't beat the flavor, prices, or the choices for dishes. read more

Been coming here for about 15 years now since I was 6 years old. My dad worked in Racine and brought my home volcano chicken one time and since then I've been obsessed. I don't even live in Wisconsin anymore, I live in Chicago now but anytime I'm in the ravine area I HAVE to stop here and get the volcano chicken. It hasn't changed since I was little and I hope it never does. This is my death row meal and I hope this place never goes away. I have never found this same dish at another restaurant. It's genuinely my favorite meal ever. The spicy sauce and cabbage/broccoli pairs perfectly with the crispy chicken. Simple but perfect. This was the second visit to Sticky rice and again great food and experience. Waitstaff on spot and not all over you interrupting every bite. Was surprised to receive a full tokkuri of saki along with two full choko full of saki as well. Will definitely be back to try different dishes. read more

I wanted something different and found this place on yelp. It's not in the best area (lots of homeless people standing around) but I didn't feel unsafe as a woman traveling alone. The restaurant was cute andnvery attentive staff. The food was amazing. Crab rangoon came out hot and fresh. The beef dish i forgot the name, was so large I barely ate half of it. And great prices. I live in the Racine area (Wind Point) but never visit downtown for food outside Reefpoint Brewhouse. Went to Sticky Rice with co-workers who worked in the downtown Racine areas for a while. What a great selection of food!!! Warning though, don't go in their blind. Glad I had co-workers who knew the menu & spice level. Heck, their 2 out of 4 hot level was a kick in the butt. Outstanding food! I had Volcano Chicken (hot). Next time I order it I'll try what they call one-half heat (I liked hot, just want to see if a little less heat is still tasty). My friend ordered Pad Thai with shrimp & mixed vegetables. He gave me a bite. The next time I go there I'll order the Pad Thai. Service was outstanding. Lots of flavor, really tasty. The service was very good, be careful of ordering anything too spicy. Was going to order second hottest spice level, the staff recommended that I didn't which was a good call. Still super spicy, anymore would have been way too much for me ( I like a lot of spice). The food is genuine Thai, which means spice level is genuine as well. Not like other restaurants where "very spicy" means just a little bit of spice. Definitely going to go back sometime. read more

Sticky Rice has the best Thai food I've ever had! I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants but Sticky Rice is by far my favorite. We go back all the time for their Pad Thai, Noodle Basil Stir-fry, and Green Curry Dish- absolutely delicious. Everything we have ever had there has been outstanding. I think it is a family business, the staff is just excellent, especially the server we always have. She is so sweet. The food comes out quick. We are so lucky to have this place in Racine. A GEM! I have been here a few times and have always had great service, delicious food and felt happy afterward. The Tom Kha is very tasty, the fried tofu and the spring rolls are also great. And I had an eggplant dish that made me clean the plate. Finding decent Thai in the Midwest is a chore. Finding really good Thai deserves praise. Had I never been to Thailand or lived on the West Coast, Sticky Rice would get five stars. I don't know about the other reviews for this place. The restaurant itself is nice and the service is great, but the food is the worst Thai food I have ever had. I ordered Mango Chicken - there was NO Mango just some pineapple, the portion was small, and the taste was poor. My wife had sweet and sour chicken - the chicken was boiled or steamed and so tasteless that she could not eat it. She ate the vegetables and left the chicken on her plate. We have eaten Thai food in many places and this was the worst tasting Thai food we have ever had. Sorry Sticky Rice we will not be back. read more

Ok how does this place not have more reviews??? Such an unassuming spot from the outside, but the food is fantastic and the dining area is actually quite nice. I got the beef pad see ew, and let me tell you, the fresh noodles make a whole world's difference. I can't really explain what makes the fresh noodles better than usual noodles, other than that they're thinner and have better texture, but this was the best pad see ew I've ever had out of all the times I've gotten this dish. I finished the whole entree easily. The second time I ordered it, it was a bit too greasy, but still delicious. Their tom yum soup is also good but must have been pretty salty--I had to drink two bottles of water afterward. Ordering for pickup is super quick (15-20 min) but if you want to dine in, they have plenty of tables and the interior looks very new, clean, and well decorated. Everyone who works there appeared super friendly and helpful too. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat! read more

Leaving another review for this place. I think I got them on a bad day the firs time I ate here. I decided to give it another shot and it was excellent. The Tom Ka was full of flavor. You could see the Thai flavor trifecta: Lemongrass, Kaffir lime leaf and galangal. All floating happily in the soup. Excellent huge shrimp. Cooked perfectly. Pad See Ew and pork curry were sublime! We eat here all the time. Why? Because everything's good, and that's impressive with a menu this size. Sometimes they can lag a bit on service, especially in the very beginning of your meal. It's crap, but sit thru it. Totally worth the wait. By the time you've gotten drinks, your apps are on the way, and holy Thai basil, batman, this is good. The potstickers are stupid, and I mean stupid-good!!! But the real piece of resistance is the WATERFALL BEEF!!!! Ya know when something is rip your face off hot, and you just can't stop eating it??? Here ya go. We want them to make it an entree, with a pile of rice in the middle, and call it a day! The curries are delicious. I could drown in that creamy curry coconut cure-all!!!
