Excellent, From initial estimate to final clean up Joey and his crew were top notch. I initially contacted Pin Oak to have large tree removed. Joey was very quick to respond and always responded promptly to questions/discussions about the project. On the day of the removal the crew arrived at the agreed upon scheduled time, went over the final details with me (wood placement, staging areas, crane placement) and then went to work. they worked quickly and efficiently(in all appropriate PPE) removed the tree and cleaned up everything with no property damage ( I was expecting a job of that size would cause some of lawn to be torn up / some of the surrounding plants to take some collateral damage) and finished early(in my estimation). After they had gone, 3 of my neighbors (independent of each other) approached me and asked what company did the job and told me how impressed they were with the whole operation. Last but not least. After they left (and had been paid) I noticed that one of the trunk sections had not been cut into rounds as agreed upon(slight oversight). I called Joey that evening to let him know, He apologized and the very next morning (first thing) a crew arrived to complete the task. this may sound like a slight negative, but to me this just shows Pin Oaks commitment to excellence, 100% follow through and swift completion on their projects which was a resounding positive for me. read more

I called Joey on a recommendation from another arborist about a dead Ash tree in my backyard. Joey called me back quickly and sent someone out that evening to give me a quote. We had had tree work performed by another company about a year and a half ago, and we felt we were gouged. When Joey gave me our quote, I was very pleasantly surprised. He and his crew were going to do twice the amount of work for half the price! Joey was very communicative leading up to the day of the work and arrived when he said he would, despite havingl other jobs to perform before mine. His crew made quick work of the job. Just prior to their arrival, I asked him about performing some additional work that was not in the original quote. Joey took on the work the same day at little extra cost to me. Once the work was complete, he and his crew left the fallen tree in firewood sized rounds stacked neatly near the job site. They spent a good deal of time cleaning up my yard, including using a blower to blow the sawdust out of my grass and into the work area. They then moved to the front and cleaned all the brush and sawdust from my driveway, as well. I am VERY pleased with the quality of work done by Joey and Pin Oak Group. Joey and his team of professionals was the most knowledgeable, efficient, and safe tree removal service I have ever encountered. My family and I live in an old neighborhood with well establish trees surrounding our houses. It is not uncommon to have several 100-150 foot tall trees extremely close to the houses. A 100 foot tree growing within 15 feet of our house started to shed and drop very large limbs, the tree was starting to die and it threatening to fall on our house. The tree was located such that access for removal was very challenging. Joey of the Pin Oak tree service provided an thorough itemized estimate including proof of insurance and proof of bonding. When Joey and his Pin Oak team arrived to perform the work all of their vehicles and machinery were clean and I well maintained condition. The Pin Oak team also stressed personal safety as well, always wearing appropriate safety gear (helmets, ear protection, safety harnesses, protective chaps, and radio communication gear) they always used spotters and a buddy system. Pin Oak safely dropped the tree and removed many tons of wood. The site was thoroughly cleaned and all divots made by the tree were filled. You will never regret working with Pin Oak. Working with Joey and his team was a great experience. They were on time during the initial evaluation of our project. This was followed up with a very detailed contract proposal, describing exactly the scope of work. Pin Oak Tree services showed up at our property with a team of 9, all outfitted with the same safety equipment, hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe shoes, noise protection etc., in addition they all wore shirts with the company logo. They came with a lot of heavy equipment to remove limps, several large trees, and to grind down stumps. The project was completed in a timely matter, property cleaned up, and holes filled in. Being in an established neighborhood means that the trees that were once saplings are now way over 75 feet with 30" diameters and limbs just going everywhere. The squirrels really liked the trees, as they used them for numerous nests and as a jumping off points to get on the roof and in the attic. That last storm with the HUGE lightning two doors down - last straw - trees had to go. Joey and his crew more than met expectations as they removed/pruned/shaped many of our trees. They have new equipment, which made it much more quiet than I remember with earlier companies. Every crew member was very polite and professional - and they conscientiously cleaned up. We have used Pin Oak for all of our tree services for the past few years. Joey, the owner is very knowledgeable and professional. Just a couple of years ago he came out for a consult regarding several trees in our yard that were dead and needed to be removed. We hired Pin Oak to do the removal and stump grinding & were very happy with the work performed from start to finish. Professional service, competitive price, highly recommend! Pin Oak Services is used regularly by the Little Rocky Run Community. They removed a large Bradford Pear Tree that was brushing against my two town home neighbors. As scheduled on the dot, the pin oak services team came in full force. I was impressed with the amount of heavy machinery brought to the site. During the removal process, part of my neighbor's flashing was taken down along with some shingles. I was super impressed with the owner (Joey) and crew. Communication was excellent from initial bid to completion of the job. We live in a wooded neighborhood and had a combination of very tall trees and smaller ones for removal and trimming. The crew did a terrific job on all of it. We have had several tree deaths in the aftermath of last year's very wet year, and when a rotted tree snapped and fell over, it was time to call in the tree guys.
