I've been seeing Dr. Pinar for about 8 or 9 years, and yesterday was another reminder of why I keep coming back! I was having some trouble with a back tooth and, luckily, everything turned out to be okay. Dr. Pinar was awesome as always--kind, thorough, and reassuring. The cleaning technician was amazing too and made the whole experience so comfortable. And I have to mention the office--it's absolutely beautiful! Clean, modern, welcoming, and the entire staff makes going to the dentist about as pleasant as going to the dentist can possibly be. After all these years, I'm still a very happy patient. I'm with this office for life! After moving to LA in 1987, I went through a series of dentists, never really connecting with a practice that felt like a good fit until I followed a friend's recommendation and first started seeing Drs Pinar and (at that time) McFadden over 25 years ago in March of 2001. When Dr. McFadden retired and Dr. Pinar took over the practice with Dr. Wagner, in a new location, I made the move with them and have never looked back. There's never any "dentists office anxiety" in their practice; the staff, the hygienists, and doctors are friendly and flexible. Scheduling, changes, and reminders are always easy with the accommodating front office crew and billing, through various insurances over the years (including times without any) is always snag-free. They never urge treatment that isn't necessary; it's really the opposite as Dr. Pinar provides excellent and thorough ongoing care while always keeping an eye out to save patients money, and time in-the-chair. The vibe in the office is warm and welcoming, and the care is superb. In my experience, they go above and beyond the call of duty. Over the years I've had appliances break and they worked with me to quickly replace them, in a couple cases trying different materials that were better for my profile. When my new night-guards device made of a new material wasn't comfortable, they happily and quickly made me a new one of the material that I was more comfortable with. They had even saved my scan to be ready on the chance that I might want to swap, thereby saving an additional fitting and scan. I once a tooth on Christmas Eve biting an olive pit. "That's a real lump of coal!" Dr. Pinar said when he saw the photos I sent. Because it was both painful and inconvenient, he quickly got me in early on December 26th. I don't think he even planned to open the office that day but he did so to take care of my emergent situation. That was just one of several times over the years that I emailed photos of a lost filling, chipped tooth, or gum issue and they always responded with speed and expertise. If it needed to be addressed immediately they fit me in, and if it could wait they said so right away. There's enough stress in the world (and in Los Angeles!) so having something as important as my Dental care in the trusted hands of this experienced practice makes all the rest of life's challenges that much easier. This place is perfect in every regard. They're literally right across Beverly Blvd from Cedars Sinai Hospital, and they validate parking no matter the length of your visit. read more

Lisa and MJ know how to calm a very anxious patient with triggers and lots of poor doctor and dentist history. Dr. Wagner fixed and initiated care on two crowns that are "museum quality"! I came here with my daughter. The parking is so easy and they validate. Everyone in the office from the front desk woman is friendly and professional. Patients leaving after their appointments were all smiling. My daughter thought she was going to need major work based on her previous dentist recommendation. My daughter came out smiling. She had x-rays and the exam. Dr Wagner didn't understand why she thought she needed tons of work, he said she only needed a cleaning. Her prior dentist filled teeth that my daughter was sure didn't have cavities. I was so impressed, I scheduled an appointment for both my husband and me. I need to say something about this establishment asap, bc they actually deserve it! I found them through my waxer (Hollywood Wax and Skin / Dee Delacruz!!) and the first time I ever went, it was a full-blown 911 tooth emergency, and somehow they managed to fit me in. Ever since, it's been the most seamless, genuinely pleasant dental experience I've ever had. From the front desk, to the hygienists (I love you - you know who you are!!), to the dentists - every single person here is kind, patient, calm, professional, and funny in some way, lol.
