I got my nails done around noon today... I spent extra time under the dryer (about 20 mins) and double checked with the lady at the desk to ensure my nails were dry before I left the salon. I went to lunch and on my way home noticed my nails were cracking already... I went straight to the salon and showed the lady at the front and explained to her that I have not done anything to make the nails chip like this. She got angry with me and told me I must have banged my hands around and been rough with them. She also told me I didn't spend enough time letting them dry. I've been coming here around when they opened but very infrequently since I don't get my nails done often. I recently went in and the woman up front was talking about a customer who asked a question in another language. I kept thinking what was she saying about me the whole time. As a runner, I really wanted to treat myself to a good pedicure. I was looking forward to getting the dead skin off but she barely scraped it at all. My cuticles were barely clipped when I had my manicure. They barely checked the quality of my nails after they were done. I also felt the woman was hovering over me to get a tip. I think It's time I find a new salon. I really tried to give these guys the benefit of the doubt, but the rudeness and lack of customer service is really ridiculous. I've made appointments and have been made to wait for over 20-30 minutes and when I come in as a walk in for a mani-pedi, they finish my mani and tell me that they don't have time for my pedi because they have booked appointments and that I have to come back tomorrow. Today, unfortunately the owner gave me a price and then walked by and said oh an extra five dollars for the shape of my nail, which she charged me five dollars on my last visit to change from square to oval which I understand, but to charge me again for the shape of my nails? I went to this nail salon to have my UV gel tips removed in order to use my natural nails for SNS. In my past experiences, nail technicians soak off the gel and then start with a fresh slate (your natural nails). When I asked the technician (James) about soaking off the nails, he replied that if I soaked off my nails, he would not be able to see where my nail started and ended. I explained that he could soak it off in acetone and scrape off the remaining layer and he replied that "he was the professional" and implied that I should listen to him. He was very rude to me. Instead of listening to me, he continued to buff my nails. It was extremely embarrassing to be argued with during a time when I was trying to be pampered. At the end of the service, my nails had a speckled finish from the SNS, when it was supposed to have a seamless color. Additionally, there were spots of the nails that were white from where the polish was not coated on the nail. I left the salon feeling extremely angry and embarrassed. The inconsistency in pricing, the 2 very rude nail technicians, and overall lack of communication is the reason that I won't be returning to this nail salon. The salon itself is well kept, and the more polite nail techs I've had do my nails in the past were a positive. But overall this place is a bit lackluster, and definitely caters more to a "certain" clientele even if you're spending upwards of a $120+ each time you go. To the Posh Nail manager or owner(s) please take sometime to to fully train your staff on how to interact with customers, and have your nail add-on prices fully displayed. I decided I would give this place a try since it's local and I was in the market for a new nail place. The interior is very pretty and clean, but it was definitely on the pricey side for a regular manicure. I'd be okay paying more if the service and quality was of quality, but unfortunately, I found both the quality of the manicure and the service from the manicurist to be fairly low. My nails came out looking quite messy (I think I could have done a pretty comparable job myself at home), and when my nail started peeling immediately upon sitting down to dry, the told me it was because I had gel already on my nails (which I did not, I haven't gotten gel done on my nails in more than 6 months). Sitting here drying my toes and had to write a review. Lilian did an amazing job with my spa pedicure (only $45!). She gave me a super relaxing massage with the right pressure, I nearly started snoring. The massage chair was super comfy after a long day at work, and I loved the spa music. All of the staff seem lovely and friendly, and the place is immaculate. Huge selection of colors and open til 7ish, great for an after work chill moment. Highly recommend and I'll be back. Acrylic review: I didn't want to have to travel for my nails so I decided to find something local. Acrylics costed $85 ($5 extra for coffin nails) which I had to redo. I had to come back because my nails looked so bad, she barely prepped my cuticles too. The acrylic bumpy and the amount of filing that was done hurt my nails. I went back a couple of days later to have them redone as they we totally unacceptable. The lady was super nice about it so I went back for a fill. If you want to keep your coffin shape it'll be $5 every time. So I had to pay $55 for fill with gel polish which is again, way above normal price range especially if they aren't prepping cuticles. With the way my nails are growing out, I won't return. They look like reptile fingers. read more

I have been a loyal customer to Victoria Nail Bar over on Broadway, they have never failed me with my UV gel nails. Please check out my yelp review of their services to see pics of my nails. But today, I found the coupons Posh Nails mailed out in December and decided to check them out. Their Instagram page impressed me. So I'm going to list out the Pros and Cons. You will see how the cons outweigh the pros. Pros: 1) the place is clean, modern, sleek and beautiful. 2) the staff is very friendly. 3) the color selection was excellent. 4) the wait time was short. 5) the technician was meticulous and made sure there was minimal burn with the uv gel curing to the nail. Cons: 1) as meticulous as the technician was applying the gel, he did not shape them well at ALL. I had a fresh set done today, from scratch, so I could see the scope of their work. He cut all my nails off (they were mainly my own length!) and put on tips. He left the tips way too wide, he didn't cut the sides to narrow them. At first I just thought that I wasn't used to seeing them so short and square, because I usually have them long and coffin shaped. But after I left and took a good close look, I was very unsatisfied with the unnaturally wide shape. He also sliced both my ring fingers with the nail file. He didn't have the antiseptic to put on the bleeding area. 2) On the price chart it said $65 for a full set of UV Gels and $35 for fills. Okay, cool that's the same price over at Victoria. He also confirmed the price for me before he started to work on my nails. Cool, right? Nah. Not accurate! 3) the lady next to me was going to get gel with the Cat Eye polish, the one that they use the magnet to create the cat eye look. I noticed they had some really great colors in that style. I asked him out of curiosity if it was extra. It's $10 extra over at Victoria, so was hoping he'd say it was not extra, LOL. He didn't know what I was asking him, so I pointed to the polish and he said "Oh, that's called Cat Eye?" then he said "$15" In my head I was like "DAMN! 15?!" Then, the technician next to him mumbled something to him and then he said "oh, no, it's $20" I was like "Oh. Ok!" Nevermind that! 4) back to #2...when I went to pay, he gave me the little bill and I pulled out my coupon. All was going well, they honored the 20% coupon, the lady at the register adjusted my price, etc. Suddenly, as she goes to charge my card, she looks at the bill again and she started to talk to him, and pointed at the price chart and then the receipt. I'm there like "....." and she said "I'm so sorry, but the $65 is ONLY for the full set, it's an extra $15 for the gel color..." I was like ".....um???" and the technician was like "I'm so sorry for the confusion" I'm here in my head like $80 for all of this?!" so she calculated the difference and I gave them whatever else by cash and walked out. That right there was such a huge turnoff, too many different prices, too many upcharges for basic colors that other places include with the sets or fills. Why would I get UV Gels done and NOT use gel color? Who would use regular, slow to dry polish??? I know they are new but come on, you want to entice new customers, not turn them away! You find it necessary to charge extra, ok, $5 i can see, but $15? I'm scared to see what they charge for a 2nd color or a design! So needless to say, I will be going back to Victoria Nail Bar in 2 weeks. I'm so sorry I strayed! OH, and I also came home to reshape my nails. I have included a pic below showing my left hand with their final work and my right hand after I reshaped. there's a significant difference. At least the color is pretty but not $15 extra pretty. I hope they get their pricing together, or at the very least be more on the same page and clear with one another before telling customers the prices. read more

BEWARE!! The manager is one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. After spending $132 for a UV gel fill (plain polish) and gel pedicure, which is wildly overpriced by the way, I handed the manager two $20s and asked for change to tip my nail tech. She handed me back two $5s and one $10. I politely asked if she was keeping the other $20 for the tip and she immediately attacked me and said that I only gave her one $20. I told her that I knew for a fact that was not true and she told me that I was lying. She then proceeded to pull up the security camera footage. After waiting 10 minutes and holding me there against my will, she pulled up the footage to find that I had in fact handed her two $20s. She didn't even apologize and just said "okay thank you for your payment". She needs customer service training. I fully believe she is scamming people and has been so rude every time I've been in the past. Please save your money and go somewhere else. There are plenty of other salons that you can go to that won't overcharge you and know how to treat people with respect. Avoid at all costs!!! read more

Super clean and professional staff! They have you sanitize your hands, take your temperature, and collect contact information before entering the salon as per COVID regulations. This is a huge selling point for me as I love reassurance. The first time I had an appointment here, I had a spa pedicure and gel manicure. Since it had been awhile since my feet were taken care of (salons closed forever and all) they made sure to make my feet as smooth and soft as before. My gel manicure also held up with no chips until i came back two weeks later. It would have lasted longer but I hate more than two weeks of growth. My next appointment I had my gel manicure done with the same professionalism and am I love with my nails. This will be my new go-to spot for sure! read more
