    I hired them for weekly pool service. The times when I checked my cameras, I usually saw them cutting corners.

    I'm writing this review to share my experience with Southern Leisure Pool & Spa in Arlington, TX --…read moreparticularly as it relates to the purchase and installation of a Bullfrog S150 swim spa. When I began shopping, I made it very clear that my top priority was availability -- I was only interested in models that were in stock and could be delivered quickly. The sales rep assured me that although the contract stated a 4-6 week delivery window, units were regularly arriving much sooner, and he strongly implied this would be the case for mine. Based on that expectation, I rushed to pour a concrete pad, paying a premium for quick turnaround from a contractor, just to be ready "in time." Looking back, I now feel that urgency was unfairly pushed on me. It ended up taking over six weeks, with an additional two-week delay after the unit arrived at their warehouse before installation. This delay caused issues with other scheduled landscaping work -- including potential damage to freshly installed sod -- all of which could've been avoided with better communication. Then came delivery day: the unit was dropped off only, with no hookup. I had to schedule an electrician separately, which I was aware of, but once power was connected, I discovered that the spa doesn't heat -- no temperature display, no heating, just a FLO warning. Bullfrog support directed me back to the store. When I contacted Southern Leisure, I was told, "The crews have already left for the weekend -- someone will call you Monday to schedule a service visit." So here I am, nearly two months after ordering, over $40,000 invested across the swim spa, slab, and electrical-- and I still don't have a working product. I even took off work for delivery day, expecting installation and setup -- now I'll need to take more time off for a future service call. To add insult to injury, when I filled the spa, it was immediately swarmed with thousands of tiny tan bugs, especially around the Bullfrog floating sanitizer. After researching, they appear to be springtails, possibly from inside the plumbing lines or water system -- not something you expect in a brand-new premium spa. Lastly, I reached out to the VP of Sales listed on Southern Leisure's website over two weeks ago about my experience. No one ever responded. At the time of writing, I still don't have a functional spa, and the service team hasn't yet contacted me. I'll update this review as things (hopefully) improve, but as it stands now, this has been the most frustrating and disappointing customer experience I've had on a large purchase. Use caution when working with this company -- especially if your timeline, communication, and product support expectations are high. I truly hope Southern Leisure sees this and makes meaningful changes to how they manage expectations and after-sale service.

Waited for 3 weeks for a new control for the lights and it's since been installed - lights still do not work properly. All in all a good experience - if the issue is resolved and tub worked properly I would rate 5 stars.

What he doesn't seem…read moreto appreciate is that homeowners have budgets and that we need some idea of the costs associated with home maintenance costs; including maintaining a pool. He thinks that he should not be questioned about his billing practices and believes that you should pay whatever number he comes up with without question. Simply telling a customer that chemical prices fluctuate, and pay whatever I say, is untenable. I also didn't appreciate him trying to goad me into a discussion about politics by saying more than once: "the price of chemicals have gone up since Biden became President." Just tell me how much it will cost to clear my pool, I'm not interested in your political views! He will never tell you how much you can expect to pay per month, only give you some a wide "possible" price range. Also, his utter arrogance was also a turn off. When I said he was too expensive or that questioned the basis for his exorbitant billing practices, he arrogantly told me that: "You want the best services for the cheapest price. And it just doesn't exist. You will always get what you pay for." In other words, if I don't use him and pay his unsubstantiated costs, I will not find other quality pool maintenance service providers. Finally, I offered to pay for July ($500!!!!), but not after, and then he immediately dropped me as a customer and charged me $274 for 1 visit; and my pool still had dirt on the bottom of it. Be careful in dealing with him, his knowledge of pools and pool equipment will distract you from his unqualified and unsubstantiated billing practices. I know he'll get on here an attack everything I've said, further showing his arrogance and inability to listen to customer concerns. Fortunately, I've kept all of the text messages between us as proof of what I've said.
