It has been over a year. My experience here was awful. I brought my Titi for help with her arthritis. I had her see both doctors. I was advised to give her a Solensia shot. Having ignorantly agreed to it and trusted a "doctor's" advice, I live now with it a daily and heartbroken regret. Don't let them convince you to give your cat a Solensia shot. Worst thing ever. My baby girl got WORSE within 24 hours of this shot!! As soon as I looked it up, too late, clearly this shot has a SIGNIFICANT amount of neurological side effects. WHY WOULDN'T THEY TELL ME ABOUT THIS?? Do your research! My baby girl was gone within 2 weeks, and with her.... a piece of my heart. They won't admit Solensia had anything to do with it, but I know my girl, ypu KNOW your cats. I know it was what put her over. Two months after her death they sent me a lame 'sorry for your loss card'. It was quickly placed in the garbage where it belonged. Oh, and not to mention that after I had her see Dr. Whaley and then see Dr. Klein, they could not find her records, and then the vet tech came out and verbatim said; "oh, this happens all the time" Referencing the misplaced missing records. It was a red flag, and I should have seen it then and walked out right there. But I was so distraught with her, and I just wanted help for her. I gave this clinic multiple opportunities, but unfortunately the same problems keep happening. My dog, Lola, depends on Phenobarbital to control her seizures, and I have experienced repeated delays obtaining her medication. A medication this critical should never become a recurring issue. In addition to the prescription problems, the wait times are excessive. Even with an appointment, I have waited well over an hour before being seen. On one occasion, after waiting more than an hour, I had to leave because I could no longer wait. I was later called and told that Lola's Phenobarbital level was low and that her dosage needed to be increased. However, the prescription was never updated, creating another delay in getting her medication. The front desk staff have been the most disappointing part of my experience. Whenever I called to explain that Lola was running out of medication or that she was having seizures, I felt that my concerns were dismissed. There was little sense of urgency, empathy, or willingness to help resolve the situation. While the veterinarians have always been kind to Lola during her visits, the repeated failures in managing her medication, the excessive wait times, and the lack of urgency from the staff have caused unnecessary stress and placed my dog's health at risk. After experiencing the same issues multiple times, I can no longer recommend this clinic. read more

Two weeks ago, my two-year-old cat Charlie was feeling lethargic and had a hard time breathing so I immediately rushed him to an Emergency Vet. After taking X-rays and performing tests, the ER Doctor told me Charlie may have heart issues and the only alternative is to either do more tests which will cost thousands of dollars or to put him down. Thankfully, I got a second opinion from Dr Whaley of Castle Pine Vet. He told me that Charlie was NOT experiencing heart issues but rather fluids clogging his lungs which was more manageable to remedy. Because of Dr Whaley and his wonderful team (and his ENTIRE staff), Charlie is now back to normal and happy! Thank you to the wonderful team who always makes us feel welcomed! i would never, ever recommend this place again!!!! i took my little tabby there on october 3, two days ago!!! she had breathing difficulty and wasn't eating. first you see the vet tech, he's nice, and very empathetic. he asked if i had any idea why her abdomen was distended. i said i didn't know. then the vet comes in, dr. mole. he looked her over for about 5 minutes, never noticed her abdomen was distended, then tells me he would go and prepare an estimite for care!!!! some estimate! $666. and change for all these diagnostics!!! he wasn't interested in discussing anything at all!!!! the diagnostics were totally stupid, blood work, thyroid test, and a few other things that were simply to pad a bill!!! he wasn't interested in talking about anything at all! he totally missed her distended abdomen!!!!! today, i took her to an emergency vet. the did two things, an ultrasound, and one x-ray!!!! she was so full of fluid you couldn't even see her heart or organs!!! and pine castle has an ultrasound!!!!!! they could have done this, and then one x-ray!!!! but noooooo they wanted all this other crap just for all the money they could squeeze out of me! there are absolutely no excuses for dr. mole missing her distended abdomen and offering other options....the only thing he was interested in is preparing a ridiculous estimate and getting as much money out of me as possible. i was at a loss, so i just asked if we could just try an antibiotic and something for her appetite! for this, i paid $244 ...which turned out for absolutely nothing. these people do not care about your pets...they only pretend to..it's the money they are after! even the emergency vet said, all they needed to do was a simple ultrasound. sadly, my poor little t didn't make it...these people are a money hungry disgrace! wait until i show up with a sign reading: "these people are only about money, they failed to offer any other possible care except for paying for ridiculous diagnostics that had nothing to do with what the problem was!" i know what my first amendment rights are!!!!! i will be out there!!! yaddendum: they had the nerve to call me. all they essentially said was "we're sorry." really???? they ripped me off, my pet died, and all they can say is "we're sorry!" anyone who thinks these people are so great is either delusional or they have an unlimited amount of money, because the only empathy, compassion and care you and your pet receive is contingent on how much you can pay! they are a disgrace! there's more bad reviews on yelp!ou should refund myt money! you're a dishrace! read more

Took my 14 yr old dog who is suffering and in pain too this place . All they did was take x-rays and confirm that she had lesions on her lungs and sent me home with arthritis medicine to watch her suffer and die in pain and cost me $400. They did nothing to help my dog they did nothing to help me keep her comfortable in her last few dying days. They are heartless and careless and would rather send your dog home to suffer and die in pain and confusion and humiliation rather than do the right thing and end her suffering peacefully. I'm not sure why they have such a low rating on Yelp when this place is stellar! I found it by chance when my general vet called out sick a couple of hours before I was supposed to take my Bichon in for her annual shots. She was due for her rabies vaccination and I didn't want to delay. It was a Saturday which made things a little more difficult but after calling a few high rated clinics in the area, I was able to do a walk in. Not only did they take good care of us and made the process easy, but when I advised that I wanted a 3yr and not 1yr rabies vaccine, they had a technician go to a nearby hospital to get the vaccine as they were out!!! I've NEVER had any veterinarian go that extra mile. Obviously they didn't have to since I was not a regular client. Since then, we've been going here exclusively. They've been wonderful about issuing foreign travel paperwork, responding to emergencies, and also doing dental work. I trust them implicitly. They listen, care and give the best care that you could possibly expect. Dr. Klein and Dr. Whaley have been incredible. I highly recommend them. read more

Do NOT go to PINE CASTLE VET Hospital! I took my dog in a few weeks ago for a follow up. My dog had pneumonia but was doing better but had a runny nose. Before I could even discuss Dr. Klein whisks my dog to the back room. Says he's doing an X-ray. We did an X-ray just 2 weeks prior and X-ray looked clear of pneumonia. Comes back awhile later and says NOTHING about his X-ray results but says my dog needs a CT scan for his runny nose??? Thinks maybe something is stuck up there???? It's going to cost 1,500 and probably needs surgery huh??????? I've already spent over 2,000 with the pneumonia and suddenly a CT scan? Here is my biggest gripe... They REFUSE to produce a copy of the X-ray that I paid another 178.00 for, and never-reviewed together??? I have copies of the other two X-rays no problem. I got charged for a service they never did and came up with a bogus CT scan diagnosis. Thankfully my dogs runny nose cleared up on its own within the week. CT scan really????? We adopted a kitten from Pine Castle. A friend found a 5 day old kitten in the wall of his home (the mother was nowhere to be found), and they took it to Pine Castle for them to care for it until it was old enough to be adopted. Two vet techs spent round-the-clock care on the little guy, getting up at all hours to bottle feed him. I adopted him at 5 weeks of age, and have continued to bring him back to Pine Castle for all of his needs. The receptionists are always warm and friendly, be it on the phone or in person. Each vet is personable and polite, and the vet techs are fantastic. So happy to continue bringing Wally to these awesome people! read more

I started taking my two cats here after one of my cats had trouble healing from a procedure with her previous vet that wasn't healing properly. I was very impressed with the new owner (Dr. Klein) and his staff. They promptly identified the issue, prescribed appropriate treatment and even requested that I bring her for a brief check once a day for the next week (at no charge) to monitor her progress and see if any additional treatment was needed. She healed well and is a happy kitty today. I've been in several times since then and and been very happy. They don't overbook so there's never a long wait time, each exam was thorough, and their bedside manner is excellent. I've had animals my entire life and been fortunate that most of my vet experiences have been pleasant, but I've never had a vet or staff be so exceptional. read more

Was told our file was just given to the vet tech and no one knew why?? I don't have time for games and won't recommend these people or go back. This was our first and last visit here. I wanted to like this place, I really did. I called to receive a quote on spay for my kitten (which I got for about $325) but was told I'd need to bring my kitten in for an exam. I had my partner take time off work to take the kitten. This would be the kittens' second time visiting the vet that week which is stressful not only for her, but for me as well. I was hoping to keep trips to a minimum. My boyfriend leaves the clinic and tells me they wouldn't set up the appointment without a quote...... He was told he would receive an email, which neither of us did. I also called multiple times and received differing quotes but no real answer on what it would cost and when I could set up my appointment. After waiting over 30 hours and giving them the option to call, text or email, I've decided to take my cat and my cash elsewhere. Oh yeah, and now will be having to take more time off work to find a new place... P.S every other clinic I have called was able to give me a price and detailed itemized list of cost except this clinic. Not sure what's up with that. I have been taking all of our pets here for several years, and I wouldn't take them anywhere else. Since Dr. Klein has purchased the business many improvements have been added, the office is always clean, and a huge help is....they are open Saturday mornings!! His office staff and techs are all friendly and make you feel like family. They are great with both our dogs and are always willing to lend a helping hand or give a hug during those super hard times we all face at some point. We have been seeing Dr. Klein and I can tell you first hand he is the best there is. He honestly cares and treats each and every pet that comes in like they are family. I never feel rushed, and Dr. Klein will answer any/all questions and explain so you totally understand. He recently removed a VERY complicated cyst below my dogs eye...and not only did he remove the cyst, he was able to reconstruct and maintain my puppies normal eye shape! You would never know he had surgery. Another example of the care we have received while going here is a couple years ago my other puppy had mange...she was misdiagnosed until Dr. Klein examined her. She ended up developing a severe case that was resistant to most treatment options. Dr. Klein found the right treatment, helped me with cost saving options for medication, and never gave up on my little girl! No matter how bad she looked he instantly gave her hugs and kisses as soon as he walked in the exam room. It is clearly obvious he takes a personal interest in his patients. I know my pets are in excellent care while being treated here. I just lost Sophia my loving cat who just died in her sleep this Sunday morning at 5:39 am. with no apparent reason. Possibly a stroke or heart attack? She was healthy and no sign of being ill what so ever. I called Pine Castle Animal Hospital this morning to let them know and spoke with their staff... who was so understanding and very sad to hear about my loss. Dr Klein called me and went through a few questions to find out possibly what happened. He is such a loving Dr. Sophia loved him. I am going to get another cat (kitten) in a few months and will no doubt go back here. Like I said they are wonderful. They explain everything to you and answer all questions. I rescued my dog in December and when I got him he had hookworm. The vet I was taking him to couldn't cure it and wouldn't give me answers and just kept giving me medicine I had to keep paying for. When I brought him here I was super happy. Dr Bosso (I believe is her name) was amazing and spent time with my dog and answered all my questions and explained everything. She explained why it's taking forever for the hookworm to be cured and made me feel so much better. The vet tech was also super nice and helpful and very knowledgeable and they explained things to me unlike my previous vet. The only "complaint" I have was the 250 dollars I had to spend. The vet showed me flea medicine I should use since my dog was infested with them when I got him that he still had a few. She didn't tell me that it would cost 135 dollars. But in her defense it was something that in the end I would have bought anyway because my dog really does need it. I just wish she told me the price before I checked out. But other then that I'm extremely happy I found them. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable and made me feel a lot better. Besides the price of the flea medicine, they're pricing for everything else; vet visit, sample testing etc were extremely reasonable and I'm happy I found them! read more
