They had a variety of items--jewelry, souvenirs, framed prints of artwork, comics, maps, and something I found particularly unique: framed book spines. As we browsed, the employee working there was incredibly friendly and helpful. Although we were initially on the fence about purchasing an art print, we ended up getting that along with some of the framed book spines. We recently returned to the area and decided to stop by again. This time, the owner was there, and he was just as friendly and helpful. A few years back, some coworkers had given me a gift certificate for the store after I told them about it. I had completely lost track of it, but the owner called his wife to see if she could locate any record of it--and within 10 minutes, they found it! We left the store with another large framed print, another book spine, and an enlarged, framed vintage train ticket from the Northeast Corridor. If you're ever in Pittsfield and looking for wall art or unique souvenirs at good prices, definitely stop by this cute store.

So forget the oversized pencils and postcards racks- what you'll find are unexpected gifts, stylish homeware items, metal jewelry, garden stuff, leather goods, Can-Can French posters and more in this shop. We got our hands on an $18 metal hanging bird bath, ornamental metal hooks for about $6 ea. and a few other things. In a nutshell, Facsimiles has it all with banging prices.

For quite some time, I used to come here with a friend or by myself, pick up a complementary map of Kennedy Park, and go for a little hike. The entrance to the park is right at the store's parking lot, which makes it especially convenient. The map shows the different trails throughout the park, and I would choose one and enjoy a leisurely hike. A nice lady warmly greeted me when I walked in. I browsed around the store for a while but didn't end up purchasing anything this time. I did notice their wonderful selection of hiking shoes displayed along the back wall, which caught my attention. Over the years, I've purchased quite a few items from this store, so it was nice to return and browse once again. It was wonderful to revisit a place that brought back such pleasant memories of those hikes, as well as some enjoyable shopping experiences over the years.

I came in to drop off my snowboard for repair and after looking it over the next day, they told me the honest truth that it was a bit too of a complex repair for them to trust that it was stick long term. They suggested for the price it would cost to make it perfect, given the year of the board (2017), I'd be better off getting a new board and pocketing the difference. I appreciated how up front they were and headed their advice! I'll be running the board through it's final paces this season and getting a new one come spring. Even beyond repairs, this shop has it all. From kayaks to climbing gear, skis to paddle boards, they've got everything you need to enjoy the outdoors for all four seasons.

Stopped in yesterday since I was in the area for a few hours and about to hop on the Mass Pike, and figured I would check out this location. I usually go to the outlet in Wrentham, Hingham or Woburn, but have also been to the GIANT outlet in Springfield VA (for comparison purposes here). The really odd thing about this location? Not a single employee said a word to me. Very strange. Especially on a weekend when the whole store is on sale - including new Fall arrivals - wouldn't they want to tell people that? The shows I wanted were already 20% off, and I was able to use the Lee Outlets VIP discount brochure to get another 15% off, plus they got me started on a frequent shoppers discount card which will not expire. I think they should allow some of the older, more experienced staff with better customer service skills handle the returns. I shop at Marshalls a lot ... A LOT! It seems like this location has more workout stuff than actual clothing. The home section is also surprisingly small, except for candles which they have a ton of. If you are looking for workout clothing, hoodies or cheap Chinese down jackets, this is your spot. If you are looking for business clothing or even some nice, name brand casual stuff, you are probably better of going to the outlets in Lee. Again, my best suggestion is to retrain the younger employees with the premise that people will not shop there if the cashiers are moody and grumpy. I know it's probably only a part time job for them but they should act more like the older cash register employees who seem to give a damn about customer experience. If you don't know the policies of your store, don't make them up and stick with your answer stubbornly. It will be more embarrassing for you when a manager has to correct your mistake and apologize to the customer who knew the policy all along.
