Adorable cabins, plenty to do here, and great location. This was our second trip to Pine Haven and we plan to return again & again, for the fabulous river as well as the Pine Haven staff. The cabins are rustic but cozy and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. You can buy bundles of firewood for the fireplaces & firepits, which are abundant outside. The hot tub is new & a great way to end the day. People here are so nice, especially the owners & employees. Rocky Mountain National Park is just up the road, but don't miss a hike on the Pine Haven trails and a visit to the stunning rock wall on the east side of the grounds. read more

We originally chose to stay at Pine Haven after seeing the pictures of the cute, themed cabins online, and we were NOT disappointed. The owners are just as lovely and caring as all of the other reviews claimed, and they were more than happy to give us information on the town and make us feel welcome right away! We stayed in the Birdhouse, and the cabin was cute, clean, and spacious and came with access to a private, furnished deck and charcoal grill. The kitchen was also fully stocked with bakeware and cookware, which is a big perk for travelers spending all day hiking and not wanting to eat out every night. There is even a hiking trail that leads directly to Rocky Mountain National Park, and we were able to literally walk out the door and hike directly to the park's Deer Mountain trail. There are so many activities and pleasant outdoor seating areas at Pine Haven that our only regret is not being able to spend more time on the grounds themselves. Pine Haven is magical! I spent two nights there and cannot wait to go back. The cabins are amazing. Just beautiful, so clean, cozy, so well taken care of and with so many details... The décor is incredible. You can definitely notice that they have invested a lot of time to decorate each of these cabins. Each of them have their own private deck too with charcoal grills. If you want to go to Estes Park and experience the mountains, this is the place to be. This is the real charm, the real feeling of being in the woods. Whether it's a romantic getaway or time spent with family, this place is ideal. There's a beautiful lake, a walking trail, a hot tub and grills available. The location is awesome, so close to Rocky Mountain National Park and all the restaurants and stores from Estes Park. The customer service is AMAZING. George, his wife, daughter, Max, everyone is so accommodating and they truly make you feel welcome! They will go above and beyond to make your stay memorable! My new home away from home. My husband and I found this beautiful cabin after passing many hotels, motels, lodges and cabins of Estes Park. We were so taken by the location of the cabins (right on the river); a short distance from town; near the park; beautifully landscaped with lots of flowers and wildlife. Our cabin: it was a comfortable one bed room with fresh flowers, a full on kitchenette, large fridge (not your typical hotel room fridge) and everything you need to cook your own meal which we did. (on the bar-b-que, on the deck) We were going to stay for only one night but ended up spending another night there. Both nights we cooked our dinner and breakfast. You don't have to do this since there are plenty of surrounding restaurants. Each cabin has it own private patio area with a grill, table and chairs. Our first night there we had a bear visit, 2nd night was a fox visit, than the morning we left a large male elk. All very friendly, harmless animals and so amazing to see. The surrounding area: The property is beautifully located on a river. There are lounging furniture along the river for guests to sit and relax. A really nice play-yard for kids and adults with basketball, lawn-ball, slide, etc. Customer Service: George is the owner; he's very friendly and helpful. From the minute we were there to the morning we left he made us feel very at home and helped us in any way he could. Our stay was so pleasant I know this will be my regular once we move West. read more

When we arrived, we were planning on dropping our bags and leaving to go explore Estes and Rocky Mountain NP, what we discovered was a comfortable and spacious cabin and a relaxing environment we didnt want to leave. We relaxed on the deck overlooking the Falls River. I grilled dinner while my children fed the chipmunks. We love this place. read more

Amazing staff and super comfortable living space! The cabins are located strategically and there are two amazing trails right next to the cabins - Deer Trail and Old Man Trail. The setting of it all is super cute. Oh, did I mention there are creeks with running water, a hot tub, a patio, a driving garage, and fire pits all over (they also sell fire wood for a few bucks!). I have been coming here for ... Really..... 40 years or more. This place is consistent and beautiful, a cluster of rustic cabins set in the pine forest right along the Fall River. You can fish and play horseshoes and shuffleboard, see bear and elk, and since the property backs up to Rocky Mountain National Park, hike in via Dear Mountain trail if you wish. One of the loveliest spots on earth. George, the owner, and family really care about the guests and the place itself and will do anything to make your stay amazing! read more

We just returned from a week-long stay at Pine Haven (cabin #7) for our 20th wedding anniversary. We could not be happier. The cabin was immaculate, with everything we needed for our stay. While this resort is sort of right off a main road (as is just about every resort or motel in Estes), you'd never know it from your cabin. The entire property is set back in the woods - very peaceful and quiet. The private decks are the perfect place to spend the evening enjoying nature. Our deck had a charcoal grill, and there is a common area with several gas grills. Cabins have full kitchens. There are places to sit by the river, and a nice trail for hiking. If you bring kids, there are lots of activities for them (basketball, jungle gym, etc). The owner is a gem - so kind, friendly, and genuinely cares about your stay. If we find our way back to Estes, we will definitely return!!! read more

I've been staying at this cabin with my family almost every summer from about 1998 until the present. It's always a great time. The owners are absolutely great. Really friendly and genuinely care about each guest's stay. The scenery around the cabins is absolutely gorgeous with both the river and some nice semi-mountainous trails surrounding it. It's about as close as you can get to the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park and really convenient access to downtown. My childhood/young adulthood would be radically different without summers at this place. Simply put, I love this place. read more

Pine Haven on Fall River is super fantastic wonderful and a little delicious if adorable, well kept cabins can be delicious. My husband and I have been staying at Pine Haven for many years, close to 11 or 12 years now I think. We have seen the place change owners and this was definitely for the better! The new owners, George and his family are great! We like them. We stumbled across Pine Haven on a trip from Omaha to Estes Park and just happened to stay there because they looked nice and had a vacancy. They have 12 maybe 13 cabins nestled in the mountains right off of Fall River Road on your way into Rocky Mountain National Park. There is nice stream-side action too! The cabins are clean and very Colorado-y many have fireplaces and there is an outdoor hot tub for guests to use. The cabins are far enough away from the street that you don't hear traffic. We liked Pine Haven so much we even stayed there for our wedding! Friends and family rented up the place and we had a wonderful time, George and Joan are the best hosts. They even had a little happy wedding basket in our room when we checked in! These are housekeeping cabins so you basically move in for a week like it is home away from home, there is no maid service everyday. It is not a fancy place so, if you are high-maintenance maybe this isn't your thing. Pets are not allowed - which I can understand, I bet a lot of folks are horrible guests. Too bad though because we are very respectful dog owners and would love to bring our furry family to stay here sometime. Plus Pine Haven is priced right! Now don't fill the place up because I want to be able to get cabin! read more

I cannot recommend Pine Haven enough. I would never stay anywhere else in Estes Park and even though I just left, I already can't wait to go back again. The cabins are cute, clean and have a rustic feel, even though they are equipped with all modern conveniences. The wildlife is right at your door - from chipmunks that climb up on your lap for some trail mix to elk wandering around the riverfront and even a bear that came in to visit but was quickly scared off by the owners - the highlight of our stay!! The owners are great and really care about their guests. The location is the best in all of Estes Park - can hike right into Rocky Mountain National Park from the property! We came for nature, wildlife and beautiful scenery and that's what we got at Pine Haven. It's really one of the few places I've stayed that is everything I imagined and so much more. I stayed for a week but could have stayed another month!!! We will be returning very soon :) read more

Interesting experience with George and Pine Haven cabins. My girlfriend, my daughter and I recently had a cabin reserved for several days. On landing in Denver we found that all roads to Estes Park were closed due to the massive amount of rain - flooding, land slides, etc. We were frustrated with having to change last minute plans and concerned about being reimbursed what we had already paid. We called up Pine Haven and spoke with George who was obviously busy but treated us wonderfully. He explained that they would refund us, apologized about the weather and said "this is one of those things that you will write about in your diary and then laugh about years down the road- even tho I know it stinks now" . What made the experience so wonderful was that George made us feel as if he were a good friend. He didn't make light of our unfortunate timing but he did reframe a fairly icky start to a vacation in a way that changed our whole perspective on how to handle the unfortunate events. Kudo's to George and if his cabins are half as nice as he is then I strongly suggest you give Pine Haven a call! read more

Great place. The atmosphere is perfect for a getaway. Lots of things to do for adults and for the kids. They have Wifi but to my surprise I put my phone down for once and stayed out side most of the day. There is also some great hiking near by as well. read more

Pine Haven is the greatest place on earth! Besides the super cleanliness, intricate and cute decorations, coziness, warmth, and the perfect colorado type cabins, the owners go over the top to make sure thy you will absolutely love your stay. George and his family are there and give you a great stay and are willing to give you any advice you need to have a great time. There is a very nice hot tub in a gazebo, a basketball court, they will do cotton candy parties, shuffle board, hiking, and many great areas for campfires.
