This was our second stay at Rams Horn. It's a nice 2/2 close to the Park entrance. We love it. The staff is happy and friendly. We tend to come off-season, so it's quiet, but that's how we like it. This time, we used the laundry (which was free), the gym, the clubhouse, and the hot tub. We were able to have a 90-year-old guest come up and stay a night. It was fairly easy for her to get in and out, and there was a bedroom on the main floor, which worked out pretty well. There were hand rails and about 8 stairs involved. Overall it was a great visit for all. read more

This place was incredible and super accommodating of my grandparents that needed ADA accommodations. The cabins are homey and have all the necessary necessities like a fully stocked kitchen. We had an incredibly relaxing time and we look forward to coming back soon. read more

Lovely cabins, we stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath that also had a nice sleeper couch in the living room (up to 6 guests). The buildings were solidly built, even the February Colorado winds which shake my windows at home weren't all that noticeable. The kitchen was well set up. They had sleds to borrow, and the best board game collection I've seen in a cabin. Nice resort with many extras like free laundry on site. When we arrived there were two does and a fawn on our driveway waiting to greet us. There are a few things that I would change like a toaster that doesn't work, there's very little to be concerned with as the house is extremely clean and beautifully designed and decorated. We stayed the weekend in one of the larger units and our experience was just fine. In hotel terms I'd rate this as a three star hotel. On the plus side- it was very clean and the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was also very close to RMNP, and some good restaurants on that side of Estes Park. If I were to be critical- I would say that the position of our unit - at the intersection of two main thoroughfares was not optimal for enjoying some mountain peace and quiet. Also- our nit needs some updating. New carpet, replace the couch with the crushed arm, and repair some grout that was chipped away. We didn't use any of the other facilities - like the pool or fitness center as we spent all our time out exploring the area. If you want a clean and comfortable place to sleep with some room for a family and a kitchenette to eat breakfast in and make up your picnic lunch this place will fit the bill. read more

We had a quick getaway for the weekend and gosh we needed it! We went with our three kids and grandkids, rented 2 cabins for 12 of us. It was just perfect. Our cabins were across the little road from each other, I bet if we would have called earlier we could've gotten them right next-door. Mike and Michael were extremely welcome when we got there, check-in was super easy and extremely welcoming. We had full kitchens and we were able to cook our chili and our breakfast, there were grills for us use. Both cabins were very clean, it was very easy for us to get additional towels. The hot tub was wonderful... It's too early in the year for the pool so that was closed... But everything is very easy to get to a very accommodating. Not your typical Spring Break vacation, but coming from a sunny beach community, this really hit the spot for a snowy getaway and change of pace. Our 2 bedroom suite was clean well maintained. There was a bedroom and bath upstairs that the kids used for privacy. We stayed downstairs near the living room, dining room and kitchen. The layout was a bit random, with the stairway in the center of the suite, separating all the rooms, giving it smaller feel than usual. The staff offered extras, such as a Sunday all-you-can-eat waffles breakfast, tips for visiting Estes Park, the National Park, animal sightings, and best sledding locations. The clubhouse had lots of board games and dvds. Having been to other resorts, I wish additional activities were provided to ride out the snow, like a pool table, video games, or ping pong. There's a swimming pool but it was closed for the season. The town was cute, and the proximity of Rams Horn was very convenient to RMNP. Overall, I liked it and would recommend staying here. read more

Just left the Rams Horn Village an hour ago. The house we had was very nice. Cozy, comfortable, modern. The only thing that brought the experience down from 5 star was the check in and checkout. The check in is at 4:00 and the checkout is at 10:00. For the $330 we paid for one night, you would thing we could have gotten 2 more hours there. I felt rushed, and would look somewhere else next time. I've stayed at the Wildwood before, and would probably go back there. read more

At first phone conversation this place was different. We try to visit Estes atleast once a year and trying different places can be sketchy. However, both of our phone conversations were welcoming, helpful, and real. When we arrived to the resort we were greeted with the same warmth. As we arrived to our home, our family name graced the door and it felt great! The space is clean, full of everyday utensils, and anything you can think of! We will DEFINITELY visit soon. This place is beautiful! A few of my friends and I were able to stay here for 4 days and found it very hard to leave. The town of Estes Park is small and not near as main stream as others, which just adds to the appeal. This property is well maintained and office staff is friendly and very hospitable. Needless to say we are all planning our next trip back! Definitely worth every penny spent. read more

Dishonest and rude management! Kim the hotel representative was rude and disrespectful from the first moment. When we finally arrived after 3 hours drive we were surprised to find out that our reservation was canceled!!! We were two families with an older couple and two babies, we got stuck with no place to stay. They saw we had a dog in the car so the canceled our reservation before we even got inside the office to check-in. They didn't even ask to see the documents for the service dog, just canceled it and booked it right away. I have never seen such a horrible way to treat customers. read more

Amazing stay everytime and beautiful views! Everyone is always very friendly whether you talk to them on the phone or during your stay. It is very quiet all the time as well and in a great location. The resort is at the base of the Rocky Mountain National Park which is great for hiking, driving or just about anything involving gorgeous views of the mountains, valleys and wildlife. The Resort itself is nice and they are fully furnished with appliances for cooking and everything else. Fireplaces included and they always have owner events on the weekends like a wine and cheese party and waffle breakfast on sunday mornings. Nice pool and hot tubs as well. Dishonest people. Would not return a 200 deposit when the entire city was flooded out. Our wedding was ruined, but they had no heart, they just wanted to keep their 200 dollars. WOW. All of our guests that were NOT staying at Rams Horn were refunded for their hotel deposits in Estes. If only we chose to stay at one of the hotels with compassion and heart for our wedding night, we would have gotten our deposit back and we would have been able to stay somewhere nice on our wedding night. We recently stayed at Ram's Horn for a week's vacation by trading one of our RCI weeks. The house we stayed in was beautiful, well equipped and decorated, and comfortable in every way. The resort is located just a couple miles from the entrance to Rocky Mt. National Park so we went into the national park daily to look at the wildlife. One day we witnessed the spring frolic ritual of the elk which was a real treat. The staff at Ram's Horn are very helpful and answered many questions that we asked. You can stay at Ram's Horn for less than a week and rent the units if they are available. I would highly recommend them. read more

The service is good, the rooms are comfortable, and every cookware we need is available in the kitchen. There are some Starbucks coffee powder for guests to make enough coffee in the morning. I even saw 20 elks of a harem, one rabbit in front of my cabin in the morning. Very worthy of my money. read more

They actually don't even deserve one star!!! BE AWARE this place may cancel your reservation without informing you!!! The customer service representative is hostile and disrespectful. This is what happened We arrived at the hotel after a long drive with two babies and an emotional dog that my husband got after he was injured in the IDF. Kim, the front desk representative, canceled our reservation once she saw the dog in our car. She didn't even bother to check his papers and the doctor letter before sending us away without a place to stay. When we insisted that she call the manager, my husband overheard Kim laughing and describing me as "Levy, the Jewish girl". I wasn't expecting to hear such a discriminatory talk against Jewish in colorado of 2019. Ultimately, we were left without a place to stay and had to drive back home very late at night. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay in a place that treats his customers like this. read more

We made a reservation for two nights in September of 2020 - the 27th and the 28th. I called the Rams Horn looking for a stand alone cabin. I was told they had one cabin left and made the reservation. After checking in we drove over to our unit and found that it was a townhouse. We went back to the office assuming a mistake was made. The office employee was rude and told us they don't reserve cabins you are assigned to whatever they have. WOW I thought only car dealers were famous for the bait and switch. A class in customer service training might be appropriate for employees. The unit was overpriced, outdated with low end finishes for the nightly cost. A remodel with higher end finishes is definitely needed. We didn't even stay the second night - what a disappointment. I'm sure you can find nicer accommodations in Estes Park than the Rams Horn. We usually drive up to Estes park at least once a year for short vacation getaway. This was the first and last time we would stay at the Rams Horn. read more

This is our family's all time favorite. It is close to the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park and has many things to do besides relax and enjoy the mountains. On site, they have a wonderful waffle breakfast every Sunday morning, ice cream sundaes on Monday afternoon, and a wine and cheese party during the week. The resort has a beautiful pool with hot tub, volleyball court, games, books, bicycles and an internet connection. The service people are all so friendly and seek to help you in any way possible, always at your service. The managers have many experiences to share regarding the various hiking trails to be found in the RMNP. The location and scenery is the best in the area. We been coming every year for almost 10 years and our family doesn't want to go anywhere else. read more

It was ridiculously loud with the 4 am sprinklers each morning and the traffic on highway 66. My entire family was awake every morning with the sprinklers even with a white noise machine in the children's room. I've been going to Rams Horn as often as I can since 1992 - and love it every time I visit. The units are lovely, well stocked, and comfortable. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and Deb and Alex have been there the whole time I have been going there and are always so welcoming when I come back. The resort is very close to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, where the hiking is exceptional in the summer and the colors in the fall are outrageous. The units are top notch, well maintained and stocked. The grounds are immaculate, and the staff are second to none! It is just so easy to stay there. And the location is great - it's a little ways out from the noisy bustle of downtown Estes Park, but is right next to the entrance to RMNP, which is why we go to Estes in the first place - so it just doesn't get any better!
