I truly loved this place. They are not really cabins but they accommodate to feel like it on the inside. We went for a little Fall getaway with my husband and kid it was really pleasant . Most weekends they have activities we landed on BBQ cookout and music it was really good. Lots of people food and music very happy place. They have a POOL for kids and a heated pool for adults we felt bad that we didn't bring our bathing suits but I wet my feet just to enjoy the water a little bit A nice trail for hiking and a basketball court. I can't express enough how happy I was with my husband's choice for a mini vacation. Just one downside, WOOD is a hit or miss here due to outside storage could be wet could be dry and of course wet does not burn well. See you next year read more

The worst ever!!!! I have been going there for years. I won't go back. They need another pool firstly and second, they charge for everything!! I wish I could give no stars. We had one blanket and it was 50 60 at night my son had luckily brought one from home, and the fridge leaked, so it was hard to keep our things cold and the floor dry. We spent $200 between the store and the ice cream bar and then they charged my uncle $34 all he did was stay for an hour to give my kid a birthday gift. Also they kept my $25 deposit because I have two trips booked but after this experience I don't want to go back. How can they keep that money after what we went through and also how much they have already charged me. I have friends that stay here as well, but they also have stated they will not be going back. read more

Pine Lake RV Resort & Cottages is a clean and well kept park. They have a lot of amenities, including a beautiful new swimming pool, community fire pit, group functions, movie nights, a billiard room and shuffleboard room, even a workout facility. The ladies that run the place are friendly and fun. There's always workers around cleaning up, blowing leaves, working on sites. Keeping the place really nice. The cottages themselves look really cute although we didn't go inside them. A lot of them are lakefront, which is lovely. If you haven't been here, give it a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

This is our second stay here. It's very convenient to I-84, very quick on and off. This is a resort with many upscale amenities. The camp sites are divided into different sections. The sites are spacious and most level. There are at least two dog runs and laundry facilities. Many longer term campers but not over run by permanent campers. It has a decent store and check in pretty seamless. And they have cabins different sizes and capacities. And the whole park borders a large lake. In the past this has been a seasonal campground but this year they're going to try keeping a few sections open for the winter. It would be nice to have a year round facility in the area. They have 10 other sister campgrounds. We've stayed at two of them and they too are top class. I have nothing bad to say and will absolutely stay here again. read more

Campground is Beautiful! However staff is Horrible! First we asked if the gave a Good Sam Discount as advertised and was told not on Holiday Weekends ( when prices are higher). Then given our site. The next morning we woke up to an infestation of bees. Went to the office and they moved us 4 sites over and said they gave us an upgrade. Well the upgrade was not an upgrade, the site was smaller and the grassy area was very unlevel so our picnic table was not useable. Then at 6:50 am we were woken up by extremely loud construction equipment that went on until 7 pm. Campground was only about 65% filled all weekend, there was no reason they couldn't have given us a more appropriate site, being they are extremely loud about telling you quite hours. read more

Our second stay there. We have a travel trailer. It is clean and nice; the sites are level and decent-sized. The hookups were in working order and well-maintained. The proximity to the highway makes it a great stop over and the proximity to Sturbridge makes it a great place to explore the area. We will definitely stay again. read more

We absolutely love this campground. We have had a few weekend trips. The staff are very friendly and courteous. They make your stay feel like your part of a family. But the last visit we left us wondering if this would be a place for us to continue to go. We noticed the staff had to turn a blind eye to the rules. Disappointing, the staff is mean, hateful, dirty and talk to patron inappropriately and unprofessionally. I travel often and stay at many campsites throughout New England and I have never experienced staff so mean and hateful towards my children, who didn't have a bike light and where at my camp site with me. The staff talked to my children without my consent and were not in staff attire while at the pool, no life guard. Multiple staff were mean and unprofessional, while my family was at the pool, trying to tell my children what to do, when I was actively parenting my autistic child with disabilities. They had no idea what empathy or compassion is, nor do that have an idea of parental roles, NOT staff trying to parent my disabled child WITHOUT my CONSENT. I would not recommend this place to anyone, it's extremely expensive, and the staff are unprofessional and don't have any fun after dusk, lights out at 930 PM, on weekends, WHAT! No fun at all! Not happy with this establishment. It used to be so much fun. I am so disappointed. They have RV rental spots, cabins and heated pool which closes at dusk, no life guard, but staff attend the pool without identifying themselves to patrons. Not fun, they took lots of my money and were not professional to other patrons as well. It's NOT a fun place to vacation, consider before you plan your stay here. We stayed there last summer for a week.We rented a cabin. First of all Pine Lake is a pond, no where near a lake. Our site was great, flat, facing the pond, and was quiet until Thursday of that week. That is when 5 families arrived each With about 3 kids or more, teen to toddler. Well our once peaceful campsite turned into where all the families came together. Kids were fishing, launching paddle boards, kayaks, from our site. The kids had all of their stuff on our picnic table. Shoes, towels all over the ground. Parents, were all hanging out in our site as well. We couldn't even have a conversation because they were all just hanging around. Woke up one morning and opened the shades and there was a man fishing right in front of our cabin. We picked this spot( came and checked it out in February, reserved the "perfect " cabin because of my health ( recent liver transplant patient), to be closer to U-Mass in case something happened. Wow so disappointing. TV didn't work, heat didn't work, emergency number called to get the heat going 2 times(cool wee), never answered our call. Never again, this year back to our happy place in NH, where other campers walk by say hello, stop and chat and no one comes I. Our site. Plus a nice lake, indoor pool and hot tub. We do not recommend. Oh yeah, bed was the hardest mattres ever. read more

This place is AMAZING. I recently got married in Sturbridge during the PanMass Challenge and there were no hotels in the area. We decided to have our guests rent cottages from Pine Lakes and I got nothing but rave reviews from them all! The place is clean and very kid friendly, yet we also felt like we could let loose a bit and relax. The workers were VERY accommodating to all of our needs. On top of all of that, my bridesmaids and I got ready in one of their halls (NIPMUC center) AND took photos by the lake and inside the cottage. Overall a well-maintained park with plenty to do. People are mostly friendly but I am a bit taken back by the pool hours. I'm not sure if they're short-staffed or what, but, for what it costs to stay there, those of us with kids would like to use the pool more than noon to 7 pm. Very good high end campground. Sites are very level (0.2d variance left/right front/back). WiFi handles fairly heavy traffic load but you will not be able to stream on a busy weekend so have plenty of offline content handy. Bathrooms are kept cleaner than most I've ever encountered. Pool is also very clean but the hours are unheard of --- noon to 7am daily pool hours is just unbelieveable. Its literally the shortest pool hours of any campground I've encountered in over 20 years of RV'ing. It may literally be the only thing they have to fix but it is a big deal. read more

We stayed a week here and is definitely a nice place for families. There is lots to do at the park and the lake is very pretty. The area we stayed in was a little crowed and got pretty noisy on the weekend but there are other sections that have larger spaces and are quieter. It is very convenient to Old Sturbridge Village and the town of Sturbridge. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. read more

We visited for a few years and like this place a lot. It's very clean and lots for the kids to do, ages 12 and 15. They have gotten a bit strict w enforcing early 9pm curfew. 9pm in July is a little early- kids like to play basketball and ride their bikes. My daughter and I stayed in a cottage and I have mixed feelings about it. The cottage was absolutely adorable and had really great AC, BUT the beds were hard as a rock! We ended up leaving a day early and I just lost the money because I could not sleep in the bed another night. The campground is well kept and clean and could be rated really well. Rules are put in place to keep the resort on the higher level for campers. However, management does not enforce the rules that are put in place because they don't want bad reviews. Why not get rid of the riff raff and let the rule followers stay? There is no control at the pool area or at the spa. Kids are constantly in the hot tub that is 104 degrees. There was a two year old in the spa that was going under water for more than 20 minutes.Im sitting at the pool as I write this. There are 13 kids either in the spa or sitting on the side. Kids are running and jumping and are out of control. Parents could care less. I will be going elsewhere to camp as this is not relaxing for me. who is running the campground anyways? Why have rules and make us sign a form to enforce them and threaten to remove us from the premises if you're going to do nothing about it. Thanks, but no thanks. read more

We loved every minute of our stay at Pine Lake Rv Resort. The campground has been completely done over, the campsites are very large, the bathhouses are pristine. Gravel dirt road to sites, gravel sites lined with railroad ties. Grass sites and trees. The activities are numerous for families, the pool is brand new and huge. It was very busy the weekend we were there. Saturday night was country western night with a really delicious bar b q, with beer or wine if you wanted. There was also a fabulous country band right out of Nashville, Mychael David. There are 200 sites and over 50 brand new cottages. There were so many large family groups getting together for the 1st time in over a year. We left late Saturday night due to the impending hurricane Henri, which was a dud, but we will DEFINITELY be back to this campground. read more

While parts of the campground are well maintained the stone dust roads an small campsite, some buddy sites with strangers were pretty hard to take in an RV. The convenience of the cottages for other family members to rent who did not own a RV kept us there longer and had us tolerate the overwhelming DUST BOWL which was the section of which we booked. The 600 area sites are overwhelming small and without grass and just dust and dirt. The kids did have fun doing the stuff kids do . Pool and playground was kids friendly for the little guys . Which is the reason why I would give it a 3 only. read more

This was our first time camping at Pine Lake. My husband and I are avid campers and we've camped all across the country. We've camped for over 20 years from tent camping to our current 38 ft camper, so this review comes from an experienced well versed camper. Pine Lakes website boosts a pool with ample tables and umbrellas. The actual pool has 7 tables and some chairs so space is very limited. The resort store closes at 6pm which is unheard of. If you haven't purchased what you need by 6pm then your SOL. We've always had dinner and then took the kids to the store for ice cream or a treat but unfortunately we were unable to carry this tradition on. The website also states it's a family campground. In our experience family campgrounds have an abundant amount of things for children to do. Pine Lake has a very small playground located next to the septic leech field so the odors were overwhelming. The pool tables and other activities require getting to the store before they close which again is 6pm. There are several great event halls but no events going on. The activities that were offered were pricey. The small outside cafe had a menu Friday however that menu did not apply on Saturday because there was dinner for $20pp. This was not advertised any where. The sites are extremely close together. I read the reviews before booking and did see this noted in prior reviews. So I was somewhat prepared however it was much closer than I even expected. We could not even have a fire fearing setting the camper or our neighbors camper on fire. The response from Pine Lake on the previous reviews was basically that it was the campers fault for not calling instead of booking online. I did appreciate having a staff member at the pool to monitor the activity and intervene as needed. It appears they have put some money into the campground. I think the money would have been better spent on a nicer playground and staff to man the store until a more reasonable time. There did seem to be a lot of adult based activities such as bingo and paint and sip. If the campground is more geared towards adult then it should be clear and state this on the website. The morale of the campground was also concerning. We struck up conversations with a few other guests who were just as surprised and disappointed as we were. Underwhelming for sure. read more
