I stayed at Pine River ranch for five days and I have pretty much nothing but good things to say about it. I appreciate the self check in, the breakfast was absolutely delightful, and it's a gorgeous location. There was a slight issue with the water but once the owner was made aware he had it fixed in probably under an hour. All in all great service. The only subpar thing about my time there was it snowed really heavily in the area before and while we were there and the plowed pile of snow blocked the view on the road when you tried to pull out of the parking lot so we had a hard time seeing the cars coming 40+ miles toward us. Though, I don't think that was the fault of the ranch, just something to keep in mind in the winter months. read more

My partner and I just took a one night getaway and stayed at Pine River. We chose the Natapoc suite and loved the solitude! The suite was private with no one in the neighboring suite. Pat was great with quick communication when we asked for a late check out day of. Breakfast was delivered to our door and was absolutely wonderful. It was a great place to step away from our day to day and also to have peace after spending all day on our feet in Leavenworth. The two person jacuzzi tub was worth the cost alone for relaxation. very poor. no charm whatso ever. very sparsely furnished. bed on a high level. therefore I tripped over a 6 inch ledge leading up to it injuring an already injured knee. bed too high to enter without again stepping up and grabbing a board to enter. dont even think about getting up in the night without maneuvering the steps to get out and then back in the bed. horrible. could not wait to leave but had to wait for breakfast at nine. pictures showed lovely food delivered in dishes on a tray etc. what we got was a plastic bag with food in take out containers with plastic cutlery like any fast food joint. . it's was hot and good what there was of it. shower had no. grab bars. if you slipped and fell too bad. will never go back and hope to convince others not to go read more

We loved this place. The rooms are so cute. Owners are super nice. It's about a 20 min drive to the Bavarian village and beautiful views of the Wenatchee River along the way. Both mornings we got a homemade breakfast served to our room and they were both yummy!! Sits on 23 acres and you can walk around through the paths in the meadow, some of the paths even lead to Nason creek. Our room had a jetted tub for two which was also a nice touch for relaxation. Got the sweetheart package and the roses were gorgeous, the chocolate covered strawberries were super yummy, and the wine was also really good!! For sure coming back here again!! read more

There are certainly pros and cons to this place. The room was unique and spacious. For the price though we thought some kitchenware and ice machine would have been included. On a hot day, to enjoy sitting on the porch with a glass of ice cold water would have been nice. There is a microwave but who thinks to bring along plates and utensils to a pricey B&B. It's a long drive from downtown Leavenworth. But yet still on a main road so traffic noise is loud. Grounds are manicured but you can't enjoy while weddings happening. No river on the grounds. Nothing to really do on the grounds except wander and look at empty pond. read more

Just don't do it. Overpriced, poor service. $700 for the main cabin that includes a mini fridge. Check in at 4pm and check out at 10am. Can't control the temperature, it's stuck at 69. No plates, silverware or amenities. The owner is a rude, why be in customer service if you hate serving customers? I feel bad for anyone who stays here. What an awful establishment. It was quiet and secluded and the privacy was nice. They left us a bottle of wine welcoming us in which was nice as well. What My fiancé and I didn't like was the fact that we have stayed in much nicer and accommodating places for far cheaper. The tub was nice but only half the jets work. The faucets on the tub were broken and just leaked and the plug in the tub was broken so it didn't hold a seal. The "door" to the toilet and shower didn't stay shut and would just swing open. Their food was far from as good as the reviews, their potatoes tasted as if they just dumped a load of salt on them and were soggy as if they just microwaved them. The worst thing about our stay, the bed.. I don't know about anyone else but when I go to a hotel I normally have an expectation that the bed will be almost as comfortable as my own at home. This was not the case. The bed was very dense and had dips in the mattress that made it very uncomfortable. I was left to only sleep on my back and I was unable to cuddle with my fiancé because of the way the bed was. They need updates and renovations to make the price seem more appropriate. The nice thing about the floor was that it was heated on the tile but only in front of the sink, not around the toilet or outside the shower. Also, it was practically impossible to get ahold of anyone, we called a ridiculous number of times but no one was ever available to answer. We signed up for a sleigh ride and they left us a note in the room for the time of the reservation and when to be there. But when we showed up for the sleigh ride we were asked to give them the card.. no where did it say "present this for your ticket" they had our reservation but made a huge deal about showing the piece of paper. The drive was a little over 30 minutes to get anywhere and the people at the sleigh ride were irritated we didn't present them the note and almost made us drive back to get it. Granted, Covid has ruined a lot of nice things but if this place wants to continue to stay in business they have a lot of things they need to work on. I took my daughter and my mother to check out this location that we had driven by on our way to vacation in Lake Wenatchee. We are from out of town and did not have cell service to Google pictures or any other information. We drove into the parking lot of the venue and were met by someone extremely rude telling us we can schedule a tour and that this public place is private property. I told him we wanted to check it out as a possible wedding venue so we were just driving by to see it. He replied "No, this is private property. You can Google our website and sign up for a time to tour it" Again, we were from out of town and didn't even step foot out of the car. We had our wedding here a little less than a month ago. The venue was absolutely stunning, the staff was really helpful and the day went unbelievably smoothly. PRR is not the cheapest wedding venue, but you get a lot of bang for your buck. They take care of so many things you wouldn't want to have to buy yourself, like the cutlery, platesglasses, tablecloths, you name it! The day of the wedding I literally didn't have to worry about anything, partly due to our amazing bridal party but also due to Patrick and his team. It was easily the best day of my life! Very disappointed. For my wife's and my 10th wedding anniversary, I booked 2 nights at Pine River Ranch with their "Country and Western Package". Their webpage described the package as "Experience a day as a cowpoke, complete with horseback riding, local beer or wine, and a special gift to remember your stay." The details of the package said it included "A day of trail riding." It turns out, the trail ride was only 90-minutes long. We were both very surprised and disappointed when the ride was over so soon. When I asked Patrick if it was supposed to be that short, he said 'yes' and that most folks were pretty sore after 90 minutes and probably couldn't handle a full day. He claimed that the description on the web page wasn't meant to mean a literal day but more of a figurative 'your day'. Not sure what that means. When we got home, I wrote to Patrick and suggested that he update his web page to say that the ride is only 90-minutes long so others wouldn't experience the same disappointment as we did. His response was, "I sent the information to our marketing team so they can make some updates." That was over a month ago (June 4, 2022) and nothing has been updated. So, I'm writing this review so that others don't make the same assumption we did. That said, the cabin was comfortable and cute. The breakfasts were OK. The 9am breakfast with a 10am check-out time felt very rushed. Though, Patrick using the gas-powered weed-whacker outside our cabin window at 9:30am helped motivate us to get going. No one else seemed to be staying in any of the other cabins, so I have no clue why he couldn't weed-whacked elsewhere until after we left. read more

A seamless combination of beautiful scenery, nestled amongst severe frustration and disappointment. My wife and I were married here in January, 2017. We had been in contact with Patrick for several months and discussed several ideas with him, all of which he made out to be no big deal. Everything seemed to be on the right track... Fast forward to the day before the wedding. We arrived on site and Patrick made damn sure that we did not feel welcome. The things that we had discussed in person, he made out to be major setbacks to himself, personally. We had discussed using the barn from 9AM-9PM instead of 10-10. Patrick's new response, "I'm sure not getting up that early to turn the heater on." Huh. The over $11,000 in your bank account suggests otherwise, but maybe he's new to the hospitality industry. That welcoming attitude continued through the weekend. One of the water pipes in the barn was frozen, and Patrick said he would work on it that night. My wife asked what we could do if it wasn't cleared by morning, and Patrick snapped back that someone would just stand in the restroom with a bucket to flush the toilets. Several guests pulled into the wrong parking lot. There are two driveways into the venue. One large, marked one. One unmarked and really hard to find if you're not aware. Guess which one he wanted the majority of visitors to use? Naturally, Patrick was right on cue to snap at anyone who didn't go into the correct one. Because Patrick is unable to set up any sort of logical parking situation, he conveniently parks his quad in the middle of the driveway, which really makes things difficult to load and unload into the barn. Don't you dare use the other road he's plowed around the barn though. Apparently there's $10,000 worth of slate under that snow and he's just itching to tell your guests that he'll sue them. Patrick's genuine hospitality followed through the evening, where he found himself standing by the bar, smiling at no one and reminding anyone who cared to ask that it's, "his barn." He went as far as to ask my father in law when he planned to leave his barn. He was so nice that several of my guests asked why he was so pissed off. Even some family members that are also in the hospitality industry said he seemed very off-put by any kind of hosting. How embarrassing is that? Fear not, the disappointment doesn't stop with the host. The rooms were obviously dated and we found that even with the heaters all the way up, my wife and I were both freezing in our room. The shower was only luke-warm, and we couldn't use the bathtub during any hours one normally would, per Patrick's drill sergeant-esque explanation of the rules. The breakfast, though very tasty, was portioned for... I don't know. A runway model perhaps. Bring your own food, you'll need it. Also, if you or anyone in your party has kids, don't bother coming. He will make sure you know he will not make extra food, and that he will count a 7 year old as "practically an adult." Interestingly, I'm reading that several wedding coordinators have said they had a great experience with Patrick. I was also told that they are very defensive of their reviews. So maybe he thinks he only has to by cordial to people within the industry? Well, here's an honest one for you. I gave it 2 stars only because the venue really is beautiful. But I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Literally. It's not worth the headache. Patrick will only go out of his way if it means reminding you that this is his place and you're really not welcome. Lovely pictures though. read more

I am a bit surprised by the previous reviewer, but I can't speak for their experience. However, this past weekend I was at Pine River with my sister and family to consider them as a wedding venue (for my sis). Right off the bat we felt welcomed. The management team (a couple that lives on the property) was full of useful information and recommendations. They spent over two hours with us and answered all of our questions. Not once did we question their professionalism or willingness to work with us. In fact, they were VERY flexible and willing to accommodate many personal requests of the bride-to-be. To reserve this venue only $1000 is required as a deposit (sounds like it has always been this way), and once again, they are willing to work with you on the balance. In the midst of the planning process we also discovered that we knew a few people that have had weddings here and they has nothing but great things to say about their experience. Leavenworth has a lot to offer in terms of wedding sites, for all budgets, tastes, and preferences. At Pine River we really felt we would be in good hands. If we select them as a venue I will be sure to update Yelp on our experience, but it's definitely off to a great start. read more

The location is beautiful and tranquil- I believe it's a great spot for having a getaway for some R&R only, but highly recommend AGAINST having a wedding or any type of party here. The current owner is downright rude and not warm or welcoming, even to the vendors showing up to work for the gigs. Rude to the Bartenders and the DJs. There are strict rules, and will not tolerate any persuasions from the Bride & Groom/wedding party, to extend your parties. Nor will they tolerate any noise, even at a location in the middle of nowhere. They even have a Decibel Monitor to monitor the volume levels, which cannot go higher than 76 decibels. AND has threatened the DJ's to keep the volume down or will shut them down! Yes, I've witnessed such a scenario! Also witnessed, after the bar shut down at 930pm, the groomsmen attempting to take the last of their keg, which seems they paid for, and the owner then threatened them to let go of the keg and that they had 5 minutes to get off his property. NOW, I understand dealing with a lot of drunk hot messes at weddings and parties and it's understandable to turn into a strict boss to maintain some level of order. HOWEVER, this particular crowd was a very respectable, mature crowd having a damn good time without anything getting out of control, it was not that type of riff-raff crowd. SO when you're offering a customer service venue, and you're having to be a customer facing Rep for your venue, to just automatically start off already a rude unwelcoming, miserable facing being, for something that people are arriving at with smiles on to celebrate, YOU, Patrick, need to take a back seat, perhaps let your wife handle it, she was the cheery one, probably to make up for your rudeness, or perhaps not work in the party business at all and stick with the B&B part. Traveled as a couple for a mid week getaway from Pugetopolis. Was perfect for us. Easy directions, parking and unloading. Super quiet. Heat was perfect as were heated bathroom floors. Bed was comfy if a tad high! TV was basic but worked fine and we were there for the natural environment anyway. Wifi was perfectly good for basic tasks. Breakfast was delicious; only request might be to have it available a bit earlier for outdoor getaways. With the mini-fridge, microwave, mini-sink and a little creativity we did fine for food; there are restaurants nearby also. Prompt communications from owners. We went to the Kahler Glen Ski/golf resort where $25 gets you a day Snow Park permit and access to their ski trails and also the uncontrolled Nason Ridge trail, which was well tromped by snowshoers and great on the uphill but a bit wild on the downhill. Great views after 90 min. of steady climbing. Also spent a day checking in at the Leavenworth Fish Hatchery which was fascinating and then the Icicle Creek road-end XC ski opportunity, which was mellow, beautiful and also free (no Snow Park permit needed). read more

We came here February 2014 and just fell in love with the place!! The cabin was delightful, cozy, warm, very well decorated, and just great!! We had a very nice Jacuzzi tub next to the bed, which might seem strange, but it was great. They have nice cozy gas fireplaces to warm up next to with plenty of DVD Movies to borrow for the day/night. The full kitchen was pretty helpful, although we didn't cook anything during our stay. Breakfast was really a treat each morning, especially since they bring it fresh and hot right to your door!! We really enjoyed the fresh fruits and omelets. The grounds outside were plenty cool and interesting with room to roam around and explore. There is a very nice fresh water stream just beyond the trees that we checked out and snapped cool pictures. Just a great place. Leavenworth was only 20 minutes driving distance so we went there and did our touristy stuff, tasted wine and ate the great German food. This is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway. We stayed two nights and were able to enjoy quiet, comfortable evenings and leisurely mornings in the newly remodeled Lodgepole suite. Close enough to Leavenworth to spend the day eating and shopping but far enough to escape the crowds. Snowshoeing around the property was a memorable bonus. We won the sweetheart package and trip to here and we had a BLAST!! Loved the room we stayed in, so beautiful and romantic, loved the hot tub in our room and heated floors! Amazing breakfasts, came hot right to your room and it was nice meals not your traditional boring breakfast you get at hotel rooms. The owner Patrick was so Nice and helpful, made us feel right at home. Patrick recommended us taking the sleigh ride at eagle creek ranch and it was so much fun!! I really enjoyed all the snow and the snow shoeing was a first for us and I can't wait to do it again!! We will be back many more times and will recommend this B & B to all our friends and family!! BEWARE the new owners! Pine River Ranch is a beautiful venue run by a rude, disorganized, and non-communicative family. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding at Pine River Ranch on the weekend of July 11th. When we arrived on Friday we were prepared to work with the new owners to make sure this wedding would proceed as planned. What we weren't prepared for was the new owners total unwillingness to work with us and complete lack of knowledge about how to run a bed & breakfast wedding venue! Here are some highlights of my horrible experience: Day 1 - Check-in: No one came out to greet us and there were no signs or anything to indicate where we might check in. One of the brides (who had met the owners previously and who also happens to be a service industry professional) came outside to direct us. The "check in" process consisted of my friend telling the owners what they needed to do for me (e.g. give me the keys to my room). The owners are a husband and wife, the wife followed my friend's directions to get me checked in, but never said a single word nor made eye contact with me. Is this how she treats all guests in her home?! The husband was a bit more friendly. He told me where to park, which areas were off limits (their living quarters), and invited me to visit their chickens. Later on I discovered that each person had a totally different check-in experience. For example, some people were told not to use the in-room Jacuzzi's due to a septic issue, and only some people knew about the chickens. Day 1 - Set-up Sneakiness The majority of what we did on Friday was build all the flower arrangements in the kitchen of the main barn. It was incredibly hot, so we opened all the windows to avoid heat stroke and wilted flowers. There was at least one instance of the owner quietly closing all the windows and leaving without saying a word. He was so sneaky, and we were so consumed with flowery business, that I barely even noticed what was going on until he was almost out of the door. Somewhat confused, we opened the windows again and continued working. Day 2 - Zombie Apocalypse I woke up extra early to do some last minute chores before the caterers arrived. I was the first one up by a long shot, so I carried the coffee maker that was in my room over to the barn kitchen to make coffee for the early morning crew. There is coffee provided in each room, but I brought my own high quality Stumptown coffee cause I'm a coffee snob. While coffee brewed, I opened up all the the windows to prevent the kitchen from getting suffocatingly hot again. The owner stopped by and started closing the windows again stating that they needed to stay closed because the windows let bugs in, and then the bugs will get all over the dishes, which will make them more difficult to wash. I hardly saw any bugs the entire weekend, and I'm quite confused how a few bugs makes dishwashing more difficult. Anyway, I didn't want to argue, so I just poured myself a cup of coffee and went outside to bask in the sunshine and wait for everyone else to wake up. Once other guests began to crawl out of their cottages it became quickly obvious that the only coffee stocked in each room was decaf. I told them not to worry! I had just made a full pot of delicious Stumptown! We walked over to the kitchen only to find that the owner had poured my coffee down the drain! DECAF ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. Someone eventually got fully caffeinated coffee from the owners, and then we realized that there wasn't a single room with a complete set of coffee consuming equipment (mugs, sugar, creamer, stirs, etc.). Day 2 - "Breakfast" Breakfast was delivered to our rooms. For the three people in my room we received a single plate with two of the scariest little sausages I've ever seen, a basket of two blueberry muffins, and a carafe of red juice. No breakfast at all would have been better. Day 2 - Mad Max: Fury Road Just two hours before the wedding ceremony the owners turned off the water to the bridal suites without saying a word. The mother of the bride had to ask why the water wasn't working, to which the owners had the nerve to say that they waited to turn the water off until they had showered, but failed to mention to the bridal party that they might want to shower too before they turned off the water!! ...Then the teenage daughter of the owners showed up at the door wearing rubber gloves and very awkwardly interrupted the bridal parties as we were getting dressed to ask if it was alright for her to clean the room at that moment... NO. Just, no. Day 2 - The Wedding The wedding was wonderful because the owners had very little to do with it. Except that they were very unprofessionally dressed (as if they were headed to the gym) for a formal occasion like a wedding. Day 3... Breakfast was improved from the previous day. As we were packing up, the owners told us that it was our job to pick up the petals from the flower girl because they would ruin the grass, which is just plain BS. read more

I was really interested in booking the place then call them up for cancellation policy and the guy sounded completely disinterested in my business. I was little surprised and don't wanted to be judgemental so asked my girlfriend to call again next day cause I wanted to be sure and not pass on a good place. When my girlfriend called someone named Patrick answered and his reply was our cancellation policy is on the website and if you want to cancel then don't book at all. Seriously that was his answer. The owners were not there when we checked in, they had phoned us that afternoon and given directions on where to park and how to access the room.  Pros: -Delicious breakfast -Beautiful grounds -Private rooms -Fruit and cheese plate -Disc Golf and horse shoes Cons: -No welcome packet in ur room explaining when breakfast or checkout time is or anything about the grounds/main house. We were on our own -Fireplace did not work. They had not been cleaned yet for the season (this was Nov) or there was something wrong with our pilot light (depending on who you ask) -Jacuzzi tub would've  have been great if there was enough hot water to fill the tub more than a third of the way (given the excuse at checkout that the room next door must have been trying to take a bath at the same time) -Heating is space heaters (play the popular find the circuit breakers game because the owners don't return you calls when the heaters blow a fuse) -Owners never made an effort to introduce themselves and give the attention to detail that B&B's are known for -Mini fridge froze all the food we brought  -TV would be great if you could see it from the bed but instead of being mounted on the wall it is on a low TV stand with the foot board completely blocking your view -Advertised Wifi only works at the main house, not in your room read more

If you're looking for a Bed & Breakfast- 4 stars. If you're looking for a wedding venue, 1 at most. The management at the facility that handled our wedding was one of the most unprofessional groups I have ever worked with and the for the amount of money we paid, was completely unacceptable. There's a very long list of items- including the fact that 2months later we're still waiting for the owners to follow up with us at their request. The managements follow up seemed to be the night of the wedding with a "have a good time?" followed by a grunt. The septic system broke and there were no bathrooms. We asked them to bring in port-a-potties, which they did, but provided no lighting so it was like going in a dark closet. The staff audibly said in front of our guests "that's what you get for having a wedding in the winter" -despite that PRR advertises as a winter wedding venue. They only contacted us when they wanted money, (they made us pay entirely upfront- which should have been a red flag) communication through emails were cryptic half sentences and they were using 3 different email accounts. When I asked for a floor plan for our wedding coordinator, was informed they don't have one, not even an emergency exit one. The staff disappeared after dinner, so when cupcake time came even if someone wanted a fork or a napkin, they had to steal from an unused place setting. Their staff also helped themselves to our catered cider and when knocking the snow off the columns in the field, knocked one of the large logs off (this is an entire tree of several hundred, if not a thousand, pounds onto the ground. Luckily this did not crush our officiant who would have been standing underneath it, since these were clearly not secured. The management then asked the groomsmen to lift up and put the log back. Which of course is asinine and we refused to do. Not only because it was so extremely dangerous but also because it was their staff that knocked it down in the first place. So now my ceremony photos have a log rolled off to the side in them. If you would like more information, please contact me- I would be more than happy to save another bride from dealing with them. The only saving piece- is that the facility and grounds are indeed gorgeous and the bed/breakfast portion of the business is good. read more

My advice is to run as far away from this place as you can! The Pine River Ranch Bed and Breakfast was where my husband and I were going to stay for a short weekend vacation. The first issue with this company was apparent when we were driving up through the mountains and an employee from the establishment called to inform us that they had double booked our room and that we needed to sleep in a different room. Neither my husband nor I were happy about the situation, but we were already on our way so we asked us if there was anything they could do for us to lessen the inconvenience. The employee said that they could take 10% off our total bill and possibly move us to a better room the next day. I was not sure I wanted to deal with the inconvenience of moving so I informed her that I would rather stay in the room we were first put in if it was tolerable. My husband and I arrived late that night and stayed in the room. It was snowing that day and night and the power went off while we were in that room, but came back on a few hours later. That morning we received our breakfast and went downstairs to officially check in. When we came to the door the lady told us to come back later and she wasn't qualified to do anything. My husband and I had to wait longer to get up to the mountain to go snowboarding because of this issue. After another hour we went to the front desk again and yet another employee told us that we had to move out of our room because someone else was booked to stay there. When I told her that I was comfortable and didn't want to move she said that I had no choice and that I wanted to stay in a different room anyways because the one we slept in that night was the worst room. We still weren't able to officially check in at that time so we went back upstairs and packed for a while. When we went down again they told us to just go, and check in when we came back from the mountain. After about two hours or so on the mountain we decided the conditions were too poor so we traveled back to the bed and breakfast. When we arrived at the front desk we noticed that the power was out again. When I asked when it would be back on the girl said "this happens all the time, it should be back on soon." The girls also informed us that we didn't actually have to move, but after packing for a half an hour and being told that the room we were in was bad I asked to be moved to the better room. It was getting dark and close to dinner so my husband and I proceeded to get ready in the dark. We drove to the downtown area where there was power and had dinner. After dinner we drove back to the B&B and the power was still out there. There was no one at the front desk and no one taking calls. The only thing my husband and I could do was go back to our room and sleep in the cabin with no power, no food, no water, and barely any heat. We had a gas fire place we could turn on every 50 minutes and it didn't warm the place up much, and a battery powered flash light. In the morning around 9:30/10:00 am someone knocked on our door and told us that they couldn't provide us with breakfast and that we could drive down the street to a diner and they would pay for it. My husband and I already had an appointment we had to keep so there was no time for us to drive somewhere else to eat breakfast and make our appointment on time. Around 10:30 we walked over to the front desk to find no one there again, so we left the key and called with no answer ans I left a message saying we would have to do a phone check out. Three weeks later on January 4th 2013 we finally received a call from Pine River Ranch Bed and Breakfast asking us for our credit card information. My husband asked how much they were planning on charging us for our nightmare of a stay and they said the full price of $400.00 which is $200.00 a night. He reminded them that they originally promised to take off 10% from our entire stay and asked to talk to the manager. When we got her on the phone we told her that it wasn't fair for us to have to pay full price for a bed and breakfast where we had no service, light, water, or food for an entire day and that it would be fair to pay for one night's stay. She said that she couldn't do that and that it wasn't her fault that it snowed. She then told us that we had the option to leave that day and not to be charged for it, which was the first time we had both ever heard that option. Given that option my husband and I both would have left immediately. She said that we should have called (which we did!) and that it isn't her staffs job to be hunting us down and tell us what they could do for us. She then proceeded to accuse us of just trying to get a good deal and not having to pay for our vacation. When she was done with her rant we told her how disappointed we were with the entire situation and that we would pay full price for one night's stay and that she did not have permission to bill our credit card for the following night. read more

Happy couples (wedding clients): avoid at all costs. Pros: Beautiful venue; lovely area Cons w/ Examples: -Rude (when bathroom failed, staff laughed about the bathroom failing in front of guests; owner told our guests not to use the bathroom in the main building despite no other option and us renting the entire venue; wood alter arch outside collapsed and owner blamed my friends for it [unbelievable] and then didn't fix it for our wedding; -Dishonest (tried to renege on our original contract and change the price because the staff/owners changed; promised they were completely able to do winter weddings and then new owners said the opposite -Lazy/unhelpful: I had to TELL the staff how to order a portapotty to be dropped off when the bathroom backed up during our wedding with no other option; communications were slow and they didn't answer simple questions (e.g. days before responding to my question on local accommodations with just a one-liner response 'you should try airbnb'); emails weren't answered for weeks and by the time they were didn't address question asked and may have even been answering a PREVIOUS email (they say that their email account needed to be switched, so when we used both their addresses no improvement was seen) -Poor ethics: After wedding and we reviewed them on weddingwire poorly, the real owner called and effectively threatened me. He was unapologetic and though aware of the problems, not concerned. He offered little to make up for anything (I think a free night bed and breakfast if we wanted). ADDITIONALLY, if you go on to WeddingWire as of today 11/11, you will see that all of their poor reviews are being reviewed. They are trying to dispute them all so they only have good reviews. Most clients won't go to the trouble to prove they actually used Pine River by providing invoices and such to Wedding Wire, but we will. Just know if you use wedding wire that they are proactively having negative reviews removed. read more

The room did not meet our expectation so decided to cut our stay short by one day. There was not enough in the "kitchenette" to prepare meals from the groceries we brought. The Internet/WiFi connection was poor, often couldn't connect, and I was unable to work online as planned. The room wasn't cleaned the next day nor fresh towels nor coffee service replenished. Upon checkout the owner refused to refund the final day even though we'd given him 24-hour notice, claiming a 30-day cancellation policy. read more

This location was more than we ever could have asked for. We met with David and Rachel and instantly we knew that we needed to have our wedding at Pine River Ranch. Not only was the venue absolutely beautiful but Rachel and David were so flexible and were willing to do anything to make sure we had the best day ever. It actually rained a bit on our wedding day, but they were so planned and ready for any wedding day surprises. We had a wedding of around 230 guests which was quite a large amount of people for the barn. If I were to do it all over again I would have tried to get my guestlist under 200 as we ended up having to split the tables (some inside the bard and some outside) but all in all it didn't seem too crowded at all. After dinner they jumped right into moving the tables around to accommodate our awesome dance floor - plenty of room for dancing! The venue also had lawn games that we were able to use during the start of our reception which was great! They also have a large frame that they hang from a tree that provides an awesome "photobooth" feel. We thought about paying for a photobooth but this ended up being more than we could have wanted. The backdrop is the beautiful scenery of the property. Our photos turned out beautiful - they have such beautiful grounds including some tall trees, pond, and not to mention the barn itself is so picturesque. The bartenders also did a wonderful job and I never felt as if people had to wait in line to get something to drink (which is usually a bummer at weddings). Everything was just so planned out and they did such a great job helping us plan and helping us to relax and enjoy each moment! I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone! read more

Had our wedding here this past weekend and it was better than I could have ever hoped! The "new" owners Patrick and Jessica (and their staff) were very easy to work with, and did what they could to make sure my bride got the day of her dreams. Communication with them was great, and Patrick had even emailed us when the venue was sold to him earlier this summer. The room and breakfast were also wonderful! I don't know how these other people had the experiences they did. All I can say is treat people how you want to be treated and a wedding is more about a celebration of love than fashion statement. read more

Patrick and Jessica are very friendly and accommodating. Please keep in mind that they really have two different businesses here. One is B&B, the other is a wedding venue, which overlaps into the lodging on-site. I'm reading through other people's reviews here and it's very clear which customer is which. If you've ever seen a bridesmaid go into a tailspin on the day of a wedding..... well, I've been in the wedding industry as a DJ for years, and the term "bridezilla" doesn't come from nowhere. My family and I came to stay at the Pine River Ranch for just one night and it was booked very last minute. Patrick and Jessica still took very good care of us. The suite was much larger than I expected. On the phone, Patrick said it was around 400 square feet, but it's actually around 500, which is considerably larger than your industry-standard hotel room. The beds are custom made. However, I will say that the quality of mattress left something to be desired. I'm kind of a snob about mattresses, though. Overall, it's a great place at a fair price. If you're looking for a romantic getaway, this has the kind of privacy and luxury that you want. read more

This place is heaven on earth. My husband and I go every Anniversary in the winter. Not only is it breathtakingly beautiful the rooms are romantic and private. Little cabins with jacuzzis and fireplaces, so luxurious. The breakfasts comes to you door fresh and hot! First, the website does not do this place justice. This place has no equal in the winter time. It is just a beautiful spot when it's covered in snow! Winter Wonderland as my wife would say. Cons: They don't answer the phone. I made the reservation on Priceline and I called 5 times and left one voicemail message. I never received a call back. I showed up to the ranch and they had my reservation information and were friendly. We had an issue with a fuse going out in the cabin so I attempted to call them but AGAIN no answer and no room phones. Rooms were clean and had no signs of wear and tear. Very well kept. The breakfast was hand delivered to your door every morning which was nice. The food the first morning was just 'ok'. We weren't sure if it was an omelet or not. The breakfast the next morning was delicious. It was french toast stuffed with peanut butter and bananas. Overall, I give it 4 stars. I deducted 1 star for the lack of picking up the phone when I called. It would've been more irritating if the place had sucked but when I got to the ranch I didn't really care because it was so beautiful. I don't know if PRR reads their yelp reviews but if they do I've got two suggestions: 1) Update your website! The place deserves a better website. 2) Answer the phone when people call. read more

This is a review i am pleased to write, myself and my wife stayed at the ranch for 4 nights we were celebrating our one year of marrage, i booked from seeing some reviews online and thought we would take a chance, wow this paid off, the ranch is amazing, they keep it up so well, our room was great, they only have one king bed room which was booked for the first two nights, so we stayed in two different rooms but both rooms were five star to us., jacuzzi in both and so clean, now the breakfast here is not a normal b&b style breakfast but once again 5 star, and brought to your room each morning, very filling and awesome, the staff were all so friendly and helpful, again cant believe such service at a bed and breakfast, short trip to leavenworth with is worth getting out of the crouds and into the landscape of the ranch., they also have wedding facility's here, the barn looks amazing to have that special day in. well just want to thank you all for the great week me and my wife had, see you soon....
