Working with Oren and Nicole was great. My house was built by a carpenter inspired by Greene and Greene style. I had talked to multiple contractors and a designer about working on my bathroom, but ended up not hiring any of them because they did not understand how important maintaining the Greene and Greene style was to me. Everyone wanted to rip out or alter the trim in some way. When I spoke to Nicole, I explained that the bathroom was a very specific style and that I wanted to rennovate while maintaining the original trim. She assured me it would be no problem for Oren and she was right I am glad I chose to trust Pine Tree DC with my project. They converted my tub to a shower, replaced the vanity, and added a coat of fresh paint, all while maintaining the trim that was dear to me. One of the challenges in my bathroom is the narrow space between the shower and the vanity. the vanity is perpendicular to the shower and I wanted it to be as wide as possible without overlapping the shower. Oren double, triple measured and told me just the right measurement to order the custom vanity in. It fit perfectly next to the new glass shower which is also just the right width. For the vanity counter, I really liked the look of counters that end flush with the vanity, but Oren warned me that it would be standard to have it protrude a couple inches to protect the vanity from water. After considering it, I decided aesthetically I preferred it flush with the counter and wouldn't mind being careful about water. Oren understood and built it the way I wanted. There were several things like this where let Oren how I would like something, he would explain the pros and cons, and then I was free to make an informed decision! This is absolutely the best, I really appreciate that Oren would help me make informed decisions but ultimately leave it up to me to make sure I would be happy with a bathroom built for me! Oren was also very detail oriented and would let me know if anything came up during construction that might impact one of my decisions, and sometimes I did change my mind based on the new information. Overall Oren was a joy to work with, a problem solver with a cool head, a collaborator that made things happen and understood my goals. Also can't forget, Nicole was always friendly and very helpful in recommending places to source materials from and handling logistics. A dream team! read more

We contacted Pine Tree Design and Construction for upgrades to our outdoor spaces after reading their many positive reviews. We contacted the company via their website. Nicole called us back the next day to schedule a meet and greet with Oren. We meet with Oren at the scheduled date & time to discuss our plans & vision. Within a few days he came back with a very detailed schedule of work to be completed, payment schedule & approximate completion date. We felt very comfortable with Oren and the quote so we decided to move forward the project. It happens to be one of our the best decisions! The initial scope of work was obtaining permits to burying electrical lines from house to garage, replace existing glass insert wall with a solid block wall, stucco, 3 new gorgeous 8' metal gates, replacement /extend of stone garden bed, pavers, synthetic lawn work, remove exterior shingle siding with new exterior stucco, replace old deck with a Timber Tech deck. new bold exterior house color. We added insulation (permitted), landscape lighting in both yards, additional decorative fixtures & new stucco and paint to existing retaining walls in front and backyard. All the original and additional scope of work was completed within a few days of original completion date. Our positive experience with Oren has prompted us to move forward with him for solar panels and backup batteries to the house. Our outdoor spaces are exactly as we imagined, only better. The initial contact and entire process was a breeze. His staff arrive on time, work all day, cleaning up that days work everyday. Oren too is on-site everyday overseeing the project, connecting with us using 'WhatsApp' everyday on the progress of the project. The attention to detail & communication is above & beyond what we have ever experienced with previous contractors. That's a tremendous plus! All work is to code, obtaining the necessary permits needed. Oren takes pride in his work, ensuring his customers are pleased with the finished project. Pine Tree Design team is very knowledgeable, punctual and detail oriented. We had work done on our floors, installed impact doors, some interior walls and the result turned out beautiful. They also demolished what was needed to demolish and removed the debris. Our house was left very clean after all of that work. We had been planning a major renovation of our house for some time & were told of horror stories of people dealing with contractors. We were referred to PineTree by a mutual friend who was an interior designer and had quite a long history with this firm. We did meet several other contractors who were quite competitive, however, meeting with Eron and reviewing their proposal we proceeded. We had a fairly good idea of what we wanted to do & his team produced plans & 3D drawings so that we were all on the same page. Their communication is excellent and have a great group of workers who really cared about the quality of the work they were doing. We were living in part of the house while this was all going on & they were very considerate and kept the dust & mess to a minimum when possible. Regarding permitting & finances, they are very clear in keeping track of billing & payments so there were no challenges in that area, as we, also, were on top of expenses during the project. When we began the project, a timeline was explained to us & completion was just as was anticipated. These people care about their work, care about their clients & were just great to deal with. We just completed a home remodel with Eran (Oren) and are thrilled with our new home! We had them not only do our half bath, but install new floors and baseboards downstairs, retile our fireplace, stain a large orange oak banister, install recessed lighting throughout the home then top it all off with a paint job. They were in every room of our home. You can stop getting bids and scrolling through reviews from other contractors - I have already done the research for you! I am a Realtor of over 20 years (and have seen the work of many contractors). We just used Pine Tree to remodel 3 bathrooms and our kitchen after interviewing 4 other companies. We literally could not be happier with the result. Why? 1). Communication - From the bidding process to the final sign-off, the communication was proactive and effective. Nicole (awesome person in office) created a WhatsApp chat with my wife, Eran (contractor) and me so we all knew exactly what was happening on any given day (i.e. who was coming and at what time). If we ever had a question or "design emergency" - either Nicole or Eran would answer in minutes (or sooner!). 2). Quality of Work/Workers - Every subcontractor was kind, friendly, respected our property, on-time and worked hard. Pine Tree has been working with some of the subs for 15 years! The guys who did the tile work are true artisans who expertly completed some very complicated patterns. 3). Timeliness - If anything, we held them up! Sometimes the work was done before the time we were quoted and we found ourselves scrambling to pick out tiles, fixtures etc. Eran was great in helping us pick out designs too. Be warned - there are lots of tile choices. It can be overwhelming! 4). Price - Eran's quote was comprehensive, clear and right in line with the other bids we received and was certainly reasonable for the quality of the work/workers. The price we were quoted was EXACTLY the price we paid. No "upcharges." We added a few items as the job progressed and those too were reasonable. Eran and Nicole were truly there with us every step of the way. We also appreciated that Eran (owner/contractor) bid the job himself and not a salesman (which would have increased the price). Eran and his foreman Joseph would also regularly come to check on the work to ensure that it was up to their very high standards. Once again, I could not recommend Pine Tree more highly and would be happy to speak with anyone who is contemplating using Eran for a project. read more

I used Pine Tree Design & Construction for a bathroom remodel and a fireplace remodel before I started a large remodeling project (gut remodel of kitchen, bar, living room/fireplace, laundry and half bath). I already knew that I could trust them with a larger project. Coincidently, I hired Pine Tree to do my large remodel at the same time my friend started theirs with a different company. In comparison, Pine Tree Design & Construction were very professional when it came to the contractual agreement. Everything was laid out in terms of schedule and payment due on specific benchmarks. Eran gave an estimate of project completion of 10-12 weeks and the project was completed 12 weeks to the exact day. Eran never over promised and was always transparent about the potential of increased cost. I am not a micromanager and prefer the experts do their job to the utmost perfection without my interference. I can always count on Eran to make sure his workers are performing at their best. With most big jobs, there's been imperfections that manifest after the job is completed and all invoices are paid. Like everyone else on Yelp, we were very satisfied with the kitchen remodel that Eran Oren and his crew did for us. We had new cabinets, wood look tile flooring, quartz countertops and painting done at the end of 2023 and couldn't be happier with the result. Eran was very responsive to phone calls and issues, and his follow up was very good. We are currently wanting our house painted on the exterior and two bathrooms, and called Pinetree first to see what he could do for a bid on this new work. I called to hear about their experiences and they all gave glowing reviews. Our laminate floors were ruined when our refrigerator leaked. Eran went the extra mile to bring in many samples of the wood-like porcelain tile that we wanted to use. After choosing our favorite, we went ahead with the project and included a new stacked-stone fireplace. I hired Pine Tree to renovate a 3/4 bathroom. The entire bathroom had to be demolished. We put in new tile floors, a new tile shower, toilet, sink, wainscoting, new lighting...new everything. The first thing they did was lay down heavy duty brown paper from the bathroom to the back door so they could walk on that and not track dirt from the outside or construction dust from the bathroom. The work went very smoothly. The crews were clean and friendly and showed up on time. I am very happy with the results. Nicole and Eran were always available if there was any issue that had to be discussed or timing that had to be changed for whatever reason. They are both patient with questions and provided all the information I needed to make decisions. I will be hiring them again to do work on my other bathroom. read more
