It took 3 hours to play 9 holes. Around hole 3 or 4 we called the ranger to ask them to have the group speed up play. Didn't happen. When we made the turn we asked the ranger to have that group speed up. He couldn't care less and did not ask them. For the amount of money you pay to play here I don't expect to play 18 holes in more than 5 hours. We will not be back and will tell anyone that asks how the course management could care less once they get your money. There are many other courses in Michigan where the management does care and those are the courses that will get our money. Thumbs down on Greystone.

On top of that, they had zero carts available so both our group and theirs were standing here waiting for an hour outside. They then started us out on the back 9, which ended up screwing us. This is because the afternoon tee times were being sent out at 1. There was a lineup of 20 carts on hole 1. We asked for our money back as if we only played 9 holes and left.

Unfortunately, some players need to diligently repair ball marks on greens. The course is more challenging than most for my fellow golfers and me. However, I'm very happy to compete with the course playing GC. The cashiers, starters, rangers, course crew have always been cordial, zero negative. For about 10 years playing GC it's always been good.

The restaurant and golf course are immaculately kept and make for a scenic dining experience. Note that the restaurant is split up into two separate areas, one for larger groups and one for smaller dining. We had wanted to sit in the larger group area because it seemed like more fun, but instead we were seated on the other side and it was only us over there. The menu looked delicious and as we were both famished, we had quite the time figuring out what to order. Everything always sounds so good when you're hungry. We both ended up ordering the burger (with gluten free bun); mine with greek salad and hers with caesar. Decent burger, I would get it again. Service was friendly, but the food did take a while, especially for what we ordered. Must have been because of the other side being busy. Washrooms were clean and easy to find. The parking lot is also big with lots of extra large/long spots so if you're pulling a boat or trailer you could stop in with lots of room. We didn't do dessert so I can't speak to that. We were seated at one of the long tables outside which was perfect for your group. It is a fairly typical menu and I opted for the burger (two patties) with fries. The presentation was quite good and I liked that the burgers had a nice sear on the patties. There was no issue with the service and our server was pleasant. My only criticism is that they did not have an IPA on tap, which is a shame with so many local craft breweries in the area. It was a positive dining experience and happy to recommend White Squirrel if in Grand Bend and want a nice meal in a beautiful setting.
