I have been going to Pineapple for almost a year now. Reading the previous reviews on this website makes me very upset. Pineapple Day Spa is the most professional and caring salon/spa I have ever been to. No, the paint is not peeling off the walls and the people sitting at the counter are not disrespectful. Everyone is very professional and accommodating. It is a clean and well kept spa. I have had some very bad experiences elsewhere and from my very first service Pineapple has shown why they continually win awards for best spa/salon. They ease your nerves, take time to consult with you, make sure you are ok/satisfied throughout every service, provide realistic and helpful suggestions, and create a relaxing and stress free environment. Paula and Dia are absolutely fabulous estheticians. Each are easy to talk to and provide an experience tailored to your desires. I have extremely sensitive skin and both Paula and Dia take caution and use appropriate products. Jessica M has cut, highlighted, colored, and styled my hair. I feel beautiful and rejuvenated every time she does my hair. She listens to my anxieties and concerns with color choices and never pushes me or makes me feel uncomfortable. The workers at Pineapple Day Spa are a family. They go to continuing education and training together. They always support and openly help each other. They continually push each other to do better and it shows. The owner of the spa is always easy to contact and most days is working in the salon herself. There is no comparison to the Pineapple Day Spa experience. I have been to many spas in many counties in NY and even PA. I received a gift certificate here for Christmas so I decided to give it a shot this week as I'd never been. My whole experience was bad from the get-go. I walked in the receptionist was painting her nails and had the audacity to tell me to wait while they dried so she could look me up. She told me that my nail tech was running late and I could wait or move on to my next service. So I started with the massage. Well my masseuse reeked of cigarette smoke and low and behold there was a carton of Marlboro lights right on the end table. I informed him I could smell the smoke. He apologized and the odor was minimized but still present. Once the massage started, the aromatherapy oils covered up the smoke smell. After my massage I went for my mani/pedi and boy was it cramped. The nail salon portion is really really tiny. You can no room to move without bumping in to another customer or tech. Two pedi chairs with about 6 inches inbetween one another and 2 tables backed up next to the chairs. I started with the pedi. My toenails were shaped into a terrible rounded mess, there was no exfoliation done . Well my toes looked like a 4 year old tried to paint them. The white line for a french was not consistent on all the toes, some were thick, some were thin, some were straight across, some were rounded. For my mani, I just asked for a clear polish after seeing the terrible job on my toes. The mani wasn't bad, she gave me a paraffin dip which was nice and made my hands looks hydrated. So I'm waiting for my nails to dry and the receptionist comes over to the nail table and asks me to get up because they have another appointment and I'm holding them up. So I get up to pay and apparently her nails have now fully dried and she's now having her Subway sandwich at the desk. Classy. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this spa! I was always quite nervous to try a local place especially when it came to my hair....that was until I came across Pineapple Day Spa. The spa itself is so gorgeous, welcoming and calming; the staff is professional and so very knowledgable; and the products are top of the line. If you're looking for a spa that will make you feel like you've left the monotony of the county...this is it! Pineapple is my go-to place for every big event in my life as well as the everyday. They make every trip there feel like you're the most important client and any treatment makes you feel like you're getting ready for a big event because of the level of care given by each member of the staff. I started going there as a client, but I truly consider the members of the Pineapple staff friends. I've been using Pineapple for a few years now, and due to the decline in quality and service I've been compelled to write a review. Staff are overbooked and I'm frequently left waiting 15 minutes or more for my appointment then rushed through my appointment to get to the next one. The customer service used to be unparalleled, now it's been thrown out the door and you're left feeling like they've done YOU the favor, like you're an inconvenience. They are always on time, always friendly and have never been disappointed. They were the reason I came to Pineapple and currently the only reason I stay. Don't waste your time or money on the hair nail side. Go elsewhere for nail care or hair care. The front desk staff are not friendly, the hair stylists are catty, gossipy, unprofessional and I'm always left waiting and leaving in a rush. I dread checking in and checking out because of the treatment at the desk. I want Pineapple to revert back to 2009, they were professional, accommodating, the front desk was friendly, the salon was clean and you left feeling like you were a Queen! I have been going to Pineapple Day Spa for approximately 10 years for periodic relaxing massages. It is a very clean Spa and has a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming and pleasant and I feel extremely comfortable upon entering. My Massage Therapist, Jessica A., is incredibly knowledgeable on which techniques to treat problematic areas. I suffered from hip bursitis and sciatica and Jessica A. tailored my massage to my specific needs. She is a wonderfully engaging professional who truly cares about her clients and healing them. She has an upbeat attitude and brings passion to her profession. I decided to tackle my hip ailments without medication. Thanks to Jessica A., I was able to succeed. After a series of massages, I am now pain free. As someone who is not a high maintenance beauty buff I was nervous at the idea of going to a day spa. But as all my friends were recommending a visit to Pineapple Day Spa, I figured I would give it a try. I had two things in particular to address: the condition of my hair since I became pregnant was a disaster, and I had also heard that they had staff here who were trained to do pregnancy massages. I was welcomed by the staff and instantly felt comfortable. My stylist colored my hair using semi-permanent color that was safe for the baby, and shaped my hair beautifully. She also recommended some products to keep it healthy and smooth (L'Oreal Serie Expert Liss Extreme Masque). The massage was wonderful also! I love Pineapple Day Spa. I don't live in the area, but when I'm nearby, I always try to visit. I have had a lot of massages in Florida, but none as good as the ones that Erin has given me at Pineapple. She seems to have a sixth sense about where I'm tight or hurting a bit, and she is SO nice! I have to compliment two ladies I've had for facials, too. Very different styles but both great. Dia and Mackenzie both had my face glowing by the time they were finished. The effects were lasting too. Other things I like: a pretty gazebo for relaxing with a beverage if you're a little early; a dim and comfortable spot for zoning out a bit afterwards. As a matter of fact, all three of the staff I've mentioned seemed to be REALLY in tune with me, whether I was chatty or not. I've had really satisfying experiences every time. read more

I have been going to Pinapple for several years now for coloring and cuts. I use Diane Ryan as my stylist--I've honestly never tried anyone else. Diane is amazing! I love that she takes the time to sit me down in a chair before shampooing and talk to me about what I want, while making recommendations. She's the only person who has ever felt my hair before washing and noticed the many cowlicks I have. Her coloring is superb--she clearly keeps up on all the trends and attends numerous training to be so knowledgeable! I keep my hair short but am not regular about getting it done, but Diane cuts it in a way that it grows in beautifully! I have been going to Pineapple Day Spa since they opened I have never had any problems. I usually have my hair done and recently I have taken my daughter. After years of taking my daughter to the mall I found out it cost the same to have her hair done at the spa and what sixteen year old would not like going to the spa. Jessica has always done a good job and was helpful in helping me chose a hair color. I have had other services there such as facials and pedicures and never had a complaint. I think they have done a beautiful job on the remodeling and I would recommend anyone to go and find out for yourself. read more

I had all the Hair and makeup for my wedding done at Pineapple They could not have been better.They started our morning with Mimosa's and fresh pastries and fruit Diane, Andrea, Jessie and Sammy, were amazing with our hair not a curl out of place We moved on to our makeup with Dia and Monique and we all walked out of there looking perfect! I had a good size wedding party early in the day and they were wonderful I would recommend them for any special occasion you could have they are full service and can handle any size party you have. Went back to the Pineapple Day Spa yesterday Feb 1, for a one hour deep tissue massage with Jessica A. It was awesome as usual. I really felt so good when I left there. If you have neck, back or shoulder pain, or just want a great massage, I highly recommend going to see Jessica. They are a little bit more pricey then some other spas, but Jessica is well worth it. I have been going to pineapple day spa for a couple of years now. I love my hair cut and color from Diane. She does an awesome job and I get numerous complements on my cut and color. Pineapple Day Spa has such a unique name in the village of Pine Bush. The Spa is immaculate. The first thing you notice is the friendlienss of the staff and the organization of the spa.
