I went for a gel manicure on a Friday evening. The gentleman who greeted me was very friendly and had me sign in, which I've never had to do at any other salon I've ever been to. There appeared to be no one else working in the salon until a lady (I'm guessing Tammy) came out. The salon was completely empty, which I thought was weird for a Friday. There was no music playing and no TV on like at most salons, which made the environment less relaxing. The salon is very large, but there were bins and tables full of unrelated things everywhere, like they had several side hustles they attended to during their free time. The clutter messes with the atmosphere. Tammy did a nice job on my nails, but she did cut two of my cuticles, which is the main reason for the 3 star rating, and why I won't go back. read more

Tammy and her husband Scott are unbelievably hard working - 7 days a week and they take pride in their business and the services they offer. They care about their community and the clients they serve. There are several hundred choices for polish color, both regular manicure and gel. So, I'm not sure why another reviewer would say their choices are lacking..??? There are, unfortunately, a few different nail salons with similar names, so perhaps there was a mix up. Tammy takes her time and has pride in her work. I want to rebuttal any bad reviews. I'm a mom with two kids so you can understand how busy I could be. It's always what they need comes before my own. Anyway I live around the corner from Tammy and because of the comfort and always welcome feeling I get from both Scott and Tammy I have learned to make time for myself. I hate sitting there getting my nails done. But with that said Tammy has always made me walk out with complete satisfaction not just with the incredible work she has done but has always catered to all my needs. Scott is a sweet and very compassionate gentleman right there to back up his business. So for any bad words on here completely incorrect. I have been going for 2 years now and will keep going. Finally a good nail salon! I don't live in the area but I come now and then to visit family and every time I do it's mission impossible to find a decent nail salon. I'm not exaggerating in the slightest bit. I've walked out of salons around here because they were dirty, stunk so bad of acrylic that I thought I was going to pass out, did a horrific job on my nails or made me wait over an hour for a simple manicure WITH an appt. Imagine my relief and delight when I walked into Tammy's nails and was greeted by friendly faces, very little wait time and a clean home-like environment. It's a husband and wife team who are both so sweet and accommodating. They did an excellent job on my nails w/o me having to prompt or interject at all. Horrible. Just horrible. There nail polish selection is lacking. They are mostly off brand names that I have never seen before. Got both mani and pedi and within 24 hours 3 of my nails had already chipped. 4 of my fingers were cut while "trimming" the cuticles. One of the owners was a guy who did was also doing pedis (I have no issue with this) but while doing them, we had to wonder if he has ever done nails before.... Nails turned out lumpy and unpropfessional looking. The owner yelled at my MIL when she went to see how our friend was doing because she wasn't moving fast enough. This wasn't our first experience either, we were just hoping they had gotten better.... The first time we went, we brought our own nail polish, accidentally forgot it, and then the owner REFUSED to give it back to us when we returned for it. Highly unprofessional. read more

I've been coming to Tammy and Scott for a little over a year now. I'm always pleased when I leave. I've come for regular mani pedis as well as gel mani pedis and most recently full gel sets and maintenance. I haven't had any complaints and I'm confident that if I noticed any issues with my nails after I got home Tammy would fix with no problem. She and Scott are genuinely good people with great business practices and I enjoy my time there for the most part. Tammy is meticulous when it comes to cleanliness and I often witness her cleaning whilst working. I have to tell you, I've spent hundreds of dollars going to the podiatrist for ingrown toe nails before coming to Tammy nail salon due to improper shaping and removal from other salons. I'm proud to say I've not had any such incidents since coming to Tammy. I highly recommend this salon as they are not one that nickel and dimes you and rush you out to fill your seat. read more

I was VERY disappointed with the results I got when I came a week and a half ago to get a pedicure. I believe it was Tammy herself who did mine, and she completely cut or pulled out a chunk of my skin around my big toe and caused me immense pain and discomfort for my visit and for days after. I was bleeding for about 5 minutes and received no apology for the mistake. Other than that, they were very nice. My toes did look cute (besides the lovely scab that I still have). Horrible. Went for a gel manicure and Tammy insisted on using a dremel to remove the gel even though I asked her not to. There was apparently a mix up with acetone and she attempted to soak off the gel with water. When it didn't come off she dremeled even more and yelled at her husband about the acetone. My nails are very thin and weak as a result. I went back 2 days later to request she put on another clear gel top coat to reinforce my nails and she argued with me that my nails were fine. They do not know how to do acrylic nails. My nail broke off then they fixed it and it broke again in 2 days. The thumb was crooked too. I always het gel but theres made my nails burn to the point it was hurting which i've never experienced. As they cut my cuticles they bled which also never happens. This place to be honest sucks so don't waste your money here. By the way they are to over priced for nails that aren't even done good. Also the polish they use aren't name brand. read more

First time going to this nail salon I figured being that she worked alone she would take her time and was an experienced tech. After being warned not to go there I said I would give her a shot. I came for a fill in which I was charged as if I have gotten a full set . Acrylic nails with gel polish $36 dollars. I knew right away once she applied the acrylic heavy at the bed of my nails it was going bad. Which made my nails look so unnatural when asked to file it down she said I fail to mention I wanted it thin. Duh , that's the purpose of the look of natural if you can't apply acrylic Then all hope is lost. I forgot to mention she cut me and burn my natural nails twice with the electric file . By the way , I went to school for nails applying a thick layer of acrylic to your nails isn't the proper procedure its a small circle ball applied to the bed then to the center and then to the tip. I had a rare opportunity to get a half leg wax and decided to try Tammy's. Tammy did a great job and the room was clean. I was, however a little surprised on the cost. The possted sign indicated a half leg wax was $30. I've been to many a salon / spa in my life (I'm 45) and when the sign posted indicates the cost for half a leg, that is the cost for both legs, not one. However, at Tammy's it means $60. I did explain to the husband that typically, that price would mean for both legs. I don't know anyone that would only have one half a leg waxed and not the other. I'd be afraid to get a mani or pedi at Tammy's because I would not know if the price posted was for one foot/hand or two. I've been to spas where it wasn't even that much for a "half leg wax". So, although the service was great, unless I am in desperate need, I may not go again as I felt the posted price was misleading. I would admit that $30 would be cheap for both "half legs", but $60 is a bit much. Just make sure you confirm the pricing when you go.... read more
