Excellent service once we got seated. Waited around 20 minutes even with a reservation, but it looked like many people didn't make reservations waited about longer. If you do go as it's a pretty famous tourist spot, make a reservation. The positives? Grilled grouper was fresh and tasty, good service. The reasons I cannot recommend? First, when I spend 38$ on an entree I expect real silverware, not plastic utensils. Plus, styrofoam cups for water or soda?? Also , the portion size was small for the price. Last, the POLICE PRESENCE!!! I've never been to a restaurant where police needed to be stationed in the outdoor bar area and outside on the street. Love this place! The atmosphere is great! Jen was very attentive to us. The food is good quality. The only issue is the host area. The girls don't look like they want to be there or even have a clue what's going on. I waited in line, A window became clear so I stepped forward. She said she couldn't help me. Why is the window open....? The red head is always there. Year after year with a very unwelcoming glare. I got my text for the table, went to the stand and the girl were confused again. Pineapple Willy's is just a place to come to for the chill beach vibes! I mean come on it's right on the sand, you are basically viewing the beautiful beach sipping good drinks! The food was very basic, which we didn't mind because we could tell upon arriving. We ordered black pepper mahi mahi Caesar salad and the Po' boy shrimp roll. We had to get a souvenir cup, so we got the medium size with frozen daiquiri (blue raspberry and pina colada). Refills are 10 bucks! On the way out, I stopped by their souvenir shop! Excellent food and service along with beautiful ocean views make it one of my favorite restaurants. Their ribs, fish, and Island Nachos are some of my favorites. As a local, I always take my guests to Pineapple Willy's during their stay here in PCB. Be aware though, it gets crowded quickly. Best times to visit are lunchtime, and early evening. Enjoy! We live in Galveston so when I saw the famous Jack Daniel's baby back ribs on the menu, I could not resist a bucket of them. $26 with pineapple cole slaw - so refreshing - and baked beans., which were delicious! We ordered fried pickles, jambalaya, mahi mahi, a Caesar salad with fried shrimp and a fried shrimp dinner. For as busy as they were on a Thursday night in peak season (7/31/25) we seven were seated quickly and served quickly. Everything was delicious and the gift shop got some of our $ as well. Tourist-y yes but good. Highly recommend! Great views & great food! Gotta insist on getting the ribs. Pineapple Willy's is the epitome of a boardwalk tourist trap. Great view right on the beach, cute logo, and good service, but the food is not great. With the prices what they were, I was disappointed that most of the food either tasted frozen or was packaged. The grilled mahi on the sandwich was a decently-cooked piece of fish, but the fries were frozen and so was the fried shrimp. The salad dressings and sauces were all pre-packaged containers, so that's disappointing for a popular beach joint. I had a stomach ache after, so that's a bad connection in my mind. I stopped by here earlier today with my wife and kids for dinner. When we couldn't find a place to eat, I noticed a Pineapple Willy's billboard. Since we had driven by it the day before and had already researched that it was kid friendly, we headed on over. Parking was a pain for us. The main gates were open but the lot was full. I then tried some of their overflow lots, but those were closed as well. Eventually, after dropping off my wife and kids, I asked the parking attendant, and he directed me to one that was open. Pineapple Willy's is quite massive, with a huge bar area and then seating for dining on what felt like a pier above the beach. Beyond that, the outdoor seating area had rows of picnic tables, wooden floors, overhead fans, string lights, and beach views, creating a fun and casual vibe. For dinner, I went with the Cajun Style Jambalaya, while my wife chose the Caribbean Salad and added blackened mahi. Both of my kids went with PB&J sandwiches. The server also upsold me on adding Crawfish Julie for $5, noting that the jambalaya could be dry without it. My entrée was described as a traditional Cajun rice dish loaded with chicken, spicy sausage, and topped with five grilled shrimp and garlic toast. My wife's salad was described as crisp romaine lettuce topped with pineapple chunks, macadamia nuts, and red onions. From the time we ordered to when our food arrived was about seven minutes. It was incredibly fast and probably the quickest service I've ever had at a sit-down restaurant. My jambalaya tasted pretty good, with nice spices and plenty of chicken and sausage mixed into the rice. I also enjoyed the Crawfish Julie as recommended by our server. Not only did it taste good, but it added extra sauce and richness to the dish. My wife enjoyed her Caribbean Salad, especially the macadamia nuts, which added a nice crunch and contrast. We were pleasantly surprised with pineapple Willy's. We had read some mixed reviews but nothing but a great experience. A wait is to be expected but there's a bar to one side that you can grab a drink at while you wait and the gift shop is a good time waster too. We got lucky and got seated all the way at the end outside by the ocean. Even if the food hadn't been great that view was worth it but honestly the popcorn shrimp was some of the best I've ever tried. It was so fresh. I tried the big Willy club with the pineapple coleslaw. I was impressed with the flavor of the coleslaw! Sounded like a weird combo but it works!
