Menu that shows chicken salad sandwich on a croissant
    Diane M.

Had my daughter's baby shower there and the food and service was TERRIBLE! Here's how me and my guests were treated: The food that this golf club served SUCKED! I paid for a sit-down meal with two choices. First off, the fruit that was brought out was mixed with old fruit. The chicken salad sandwich was supposed to be served on a croissant and it was served instead on a hoagie roll which made it difficult to eat! The Alfredo was dry, very little sauce on it and no extra brought to the table. My package also included iced tea and lemon aid, NONE of which was served! The water glasses were NOT refilled either. My guests ended up paying for their own drinks at the bar for something to drink! I was not made aware of this until after the shower. The plates were NOT cleared from the table as I was told by management that they did not want to disturb us! I was told that we could use their monitors for a picture collage and a lot of time was spent putting that together and it did not work! Very frustrating. I spent well over $1,000 for a very disappointing experience at Pinecrest golf club! Below is the email I received from them addressing my concerns and basically the blame was pushed off on me! I also called Vickie Boysen who books these events to share my concerns and I NEVER received a response back. So please beware of dealing with the following people, Vickie Boysen, Craig Franke and Mark Villarreal. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere!

    8th Hole green - Par 5

This is a nice, cheap 9-hole public course. Not super fancy or anything but for $20 I think this deserves 4*. They have a bar with beers on tap as well as cans and other food items in the clubhouse if you want a couple brews for the round. It is a short course but it is actually pretty challenging with a couple narrow fairways and a good amount of trees. There are a couple small ponds and a creek that runs through the course but not much water or sand bunkers on it. There are two par 5's, three par 3's, and four par 4's. You can call ahead to get a tee time but I have often just walked on, as well. Everyone that works there is very nice and helpful. I have always walked this short course but they do have golf carts if you want/need them. Hit 'em straight and long! Oh, they also offer foot golf (soccer version) but I believe it is only available certain days but I am not positive. There is a net you can hit into but don't come expecting a driving range. They do have a practice green, though

This place is worth checking out for 18 holes of footgolf. They have 9 holes for golf but they have the full 18 if you want to kick the ball instead of hitting it with the club. Challenging course that will send you into the trees and woods chasing an errant kick (I had the scrape on my hand to prove it) to retrieve the ball and might even get your ball in the lake where you have to deal with a HUGE flock of geese that know they own the place. You definitely don't need a cart for footgolf here unless you have problems walking or are really lazy. Only downside here is the course can get crowded and the golfers and golfers can't really play at the same time so you might be waiting in line at all the holes on a busy day. I'll come back here to play footgolf for sure an maybe check out a round of golf sometime too.

This course is only 9 holes, and has only three par-5 holes to challenge you long. So be ready to work your short game as well as maintain your focus to hit the ball with accuracy on all holes...This course is one of my favorites to play on do to the ease to get on...you can play with a cart on this course, but I recommend you get your walk in on this course, as you will stay a little more focused and do less ball chasing...with a restaurant and small shopping plaza next door, you can also grab some food and drinks after your done!! Tip: come ready to play..they do have a driving range, but your hitting into a net, which is not good to see your distance or ball placement..

Great course. Forces novice players to work on accuracy and irons. Friendly staff.

The back bar was closed for no apparent reason so we sat in the front. Someone did come and take our order. We got four cocktails (four people) and ordered chips and dip and a trio of hummus. We later flagged someone down and got pretzel sticks - note "flagged someone down" because for the rest of the evening if we wanted anything, including to pay, that is what we did. Multiple times we had to go bug the golf counter lady because the wait staff sure as hell wasn't interested, even though there were like 3 of them at the bar doing absolutely nothing. The chips and dips appeared long before anything else. Including water, which we asked for. Disgusting. The salsa was both really smokey and sugary sweet and my group speculated it had to have been canned. The guacamole was slightly better but it was obvious from the brown color and dull flaor it was probably made in a big batch and fridged much earlier in the day. Gross. The other two food items were decent. The pretzel sticks were particularly good. As for the cocktails? I wouldn't be able to tell you because they never came even though we asked about them repeatedly and were told oh they're coming. We watched multiple people dicking around at the bar for a good half hour while we waited. At one point one of them started sweeping up. We had watched the drinks go into the little ordering machine. We nudged them. Guess they could not be bothered. Eventually we had eaten all three of our heavily staggered food items and still no drinks so we decided to cancel and get drinks elsewhere. We finally flagged a waitress and she literally came up to us and said your drinks never came. No shit. I said we wanted to just cancel them. She literally walked away from our table without saying a word. No let me go tell a manager, let me check on that, nothing. Just walked away silently. Were we being punished? We waited a good ten, maybe fifteen minutes after that? Then a member of our party went up to the golf counter to ask if he could just pay there for our food. Then of course the waitress comes rushing over to have us pay. Guess she wanted that tip. This was insane. We were there for like an hour and they could not be bothered to make us our cocktails.

The clubhouse is nice and clean, but nothing special. Beers range in price from $6-$6.50 and they do serve hot food in addition to snacks. Course: The course is beautiful and well-maintained. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great condition, and there are a ton of doglegs and interesting elevations which makes for some fun golf. For the nature lovers, there are a ton of birdhouse throughout the course which attracts a fair amount of different species of birds adding to the atmosphere. Difficultly wise I think it's easy enough for beginners to enjoy, but also enough of a challenge that low handicaps won't get bored. Pace of Play: We had a 4pm tee time for 18 holes on a Saturday and had no issues with pace of play. We walked the course and finished within the 4:20hr stated PoP without slowing up or feeling rushed by the groups in front/behind us. Staff: Amazing staff! Everyone from the pro-shop to the starter was friendly and helpful. We were even given bags of ice for our beers to finish the back-9. Negative: Only negative was that they did run out of hot food by the time we reached the turn (around 6pm). All-in-all, I can't wait to come back and play this course again!

But this one is just as great and has a few games that we got to enjoy for 30 minutes free. So we took full advantage of that after we did the course. Now I'm not going to lie I didn't think the food would be as good as it was...but oh boy it was very good and cooked fast. I got some wings, guacamole and chips, and tacos and my man got a pizza. We didn't think the pizza would be a full pizza but it was like a large. The drinks we got were very good I got a raspberry lemons drop and orange creamsicle drink and he got his frozen margaritas. I also had a few glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon to round out the night. For a Thursday night it had a great amount of people not too crowded but not empty either. We ended the night sitting out on the courtyard until they closed. Great spot can't wait to go again!

We were checked for IDs outside before entering a well air conditioned space. The only genuinely friendly interaction we had was with the staff member at the front, who helped us book a mini golf game. We decided to grab food beforehand, which turned into an awkward experience. There was no clear host for seating, the bar was overwhelmed, and when we asked about getting a table and how ordering worked, we were met with noticeable attitude. The food also took quite a while to arrive, and the quality did not justify the wait. The pizza was sloppily made and comparable to Little Caesars. After eating, we lined up for our course. With our booking, we were given a scorecard and a list of rules. Some rules, like a maximum of six hits per person and waiting for each player to finish before starting, did not seem consistently enforced. At hole four, someone was supposedly meant to take drink orders, but like our other experiences, no one was there. Each hole had a pleasant garden aesthetic, though I wished there was more creativity or stronger theming. Despite the courses having DC inspired names, the designs felt fairly standard. We also tried the arcade, which included 30 minutes of unlimited play. Tickets could be used on claw machines for prizes like plushies, hats, and small items. There was a 30 second delay between swipes, and the system felt inconsistent. At times, the swipe would register without starting the game, forcing us to wait anyway. Several games were not functioning properly, including beer pong, and cornhole had stuck bean bags. With no staff overseeing the area, more machines became unusable as time went on. The arcade itself was still fun, but it would have been a better experience if more games were working and the space was less crowded. Toward the end, lines started forming for certain machines. I do not regret visiting, but the poor service makes it hard to justify returning. The arcade was a fun addition, but the mini golf itself felt average. I would also recommend eating beforehand, as the food here was slow and underwhelming.
