My husband and I split the 3 meat meal. The wings were ok, pulled pork very good and the brisket was good. The brisket was a bit too fatty, but flavor was good. I got the 2 meat combo with corn pudding and Brunswick stew, I liked everything! The lean brisket was great very meaty, it was a slight bit dry of course because it was the lean cut, but dipped in the mustard sauce just delicious! The smoked turkey was also great, moist, dipped in the sweet sauce! Corn pudding was different then I've tried before, it tasted like vanilla cake with buttery corn added, I loved it my friend thought it was too sweet. We have been here several times and it is consistently good. We love getting the Fat Boy sandwich and the Brisket Reuben. The fried pickles are wonderful too. We've also tried the Mac and cheese which can be hit or miss. The desserts are wonderful- we've tried all the cakes as well as the banana pudding. Unlike other Colt's this one you order at the counter and have to get your own refills, etc. For that reason my hubby prefers their other locations. read more

Before you are underwhelmed by my 3 stars, I realize you get what you pay for. This is not a fancy place at all. It does have the best BBQ around in my opinion (I know this is a religious argument). I like the colossal smoked chicken wings with bourbon sauce. Hubs got the baby backs. It says full rack but he said no way it was. The onion rings were good, the fries were good. Hubby (former fry cook) said they need new oil. Beer was cold and a fair price at $4.50 on tap. Everything in this place is sticky. All the sauce bottles, the salt shakers, the newly wiped tables, I think there is literally sugar everywhere. Even the hardware in the bathroom is sticky. I started talking about a pro cleaning place for restaurants I heard in a commercial as a topic for dinner conversation! It has a cute, homey atmosphere and a lot of favorite sides. The corn bread even has corn in it. And there were no complaints on the cole slaw. There's no side salad option and no baked potato. We did try Dustin;s also because of the salad bar but the BBQ is not up to Colt's level. If the place had been clean, I would have given another star. The food was good and fast. Being from Texas, I love my bbq. But since I moved to Florida, I just haven't found the same appreciation here as I found in Texas. I have tried every bbq place that I have found and after seeing this one on my way to Daytona Beach, I wanted to give it a try. I asked for a brisket sandwich plate and got a few cuts of brisket meat with 2 slices of garlic toast and 2 sides. The meat was very dry and did not taste like bbq. I tried 3 of the sauces on the table and they all had a distinct vinegar taste that drowned out the bbq flavor. I'll keep looking for that ultimate bbq in Florida, but I don't have to revisit Colt's. The pig stand is my must stop when Im driving near Daytona Beach. We had a three meat combo with ribs, fried fish, and pulled pork, a pulled pork sandwich, a kids mac and cheese, and a banana pudding. Everything was finger licking good! The ribs just fell apart in your hand. Perfectly cooked and juicy. The pulled pork was perfect with their sweet BBQ sauce. The fried fish was nicely seasoned, freshly made, and amazing with some fresh lemon squeezed on it. Food came out quick, staff is always nice. Decided to try Colts Pig Stand for the first time. My husband ordered the 2 meat dinner hot smoked pulled pork and smoked turkey was the meats, he also ordered bbq baked beans and Brunswick stew. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries. I ordered on line for pick up from their online website, my husband picked up at the correct time but when he got there was told they don't have any pork! Really!!! The name is "Colt's PIG Stand"! Needles to say I was never called to be informed of this and the substitute with chicken in both meals. This barbecue place next to the huge Harley Davidson dealership and hotel has had several names but has always been good. Stopping on a recent road trip I had the two-meat combo plate, choosing smoked turkey and sliced beef brisket, and sides of BBQ beans and fried okra. The interior is nice and roomy but we sat outdoors. They make their own sauces and the hot and mustard BBQ are tasty. The meat is well-cooked with portions a little on the small side. This is one of the better stops for a sit-down meal on this stretch of Interstate 10. read more

I have to admit that although I go to Bruce Rossmeyer's Harley Davidson quite often I have not been to Colt's Pig Stand in a while. The last few times I visited Colt's it was so packed and there was barley any room to move or sit down. I guess that goes with the whole "Bike Week" territory. This is a big turn off for me so I tend to avoid anything close to the crowds. This time around, most likely because of the COVID-19 scare, there were not as many visitors on the second Saturday of the event. The four riders in our group were able to get in quickly, order our food, grab a table and within 5 minutes receive our order. I ordered the Two Meat Combo with Brisket, Sausage, Potato Salad, Collard Greens and Cornbread ($14.99). In addition to my meal I ordered the Apple Crisp Dessert ($3.49). I am not sure if my picture does my meal justice but this was a decent quantity of food. I was amazed at how good the food was. I don't know why I thought it would just be "OK" but I was surprised and very happy. I loved the grilled sausages, they had so much flavor and were slightly crispy. The Brisket was very tender and had a great smoky flavor. The greens and potato salad were fresh and delicious. The cornbread was soft like a cake, moist and not crumbly. The highlight of the meal was the Apple Crisp. The sweetness came from the apples not gobs of sugar. You can really taste the apples and the crumbles/crust were perfect. I don't usually order desert but I am glad I did and for $3.49, I would have been crazy not to. The meal was quite filling! We ate around 2:00 pm and I was full through the evening and until the next day. I love when restaurants surprise me so I look forward to returning on my next day trip out here in the near future. My friend and I decided to check out this BBQ restaurant and WOW! We were amazed! I decided to order the 2 meal combo dinner with 2 sides and a drink. I got the Smoked Brisket and BBQ chicken..My 2 sides were Corn Pudding and Brunswick Stew. It also came with 2 pieces of scrumptious Texas Garlic Toast. The BBQ was cooked to perfection and was very tender. When I ate the Smoked Brisket, it melted in my mouth. The Brunswick stew was well seasoned and corn pudding was a nice combination of moist cornbread and buttered corn. Their service was excellent! They served the dishes as well as take them away. KUDOS to the staff at Colt's Pig Stand. I recommend and encourage all to visit and eat at Colt's Pig Stand! I'm definitely returning for your awesome BBQ! read more

Pretty good BBQ joint convenient to I95. I had the Burnt Ends Brisket sandwich which was very tasty but contained pieces of brisket that were not burnt ends. My wife had the Fat Pig Brisket sandwich which she said was delicious. We both had a delicious side of Mac & Cheese. Service was excellent and ambiance was like a BBQ joint should be.
