I'm leaving this review because I was very disappointed with my experience from the moment I walked in. I wasn't greeted at all--no hello or acknowledgment--just immediately asked, "What do you want?" I was quickly seated and shown a very limited selection of colors (around 20). The technician was not friendly, and the overall atmosphere felt rushed and unwelcoming. During my service, she caused my cuticle on my ring finger to bleed. I'm not sure exactly what was injured, but it continued bleeding throughout the appointment. I did express that it hurt, but there was no apology or concern shown. She simply dabbed it with a towel and continued working, even painting over the area while it was still bleeding. At the end, I felt uncomfortable as she waited for a tip. I did leave about 18%, although I regret it given the experience. I did not receive the full manicure I paid for, and the quality of the service was very poor overall. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning. read more

I'm a regular at Pink & White, I go every 2-3 weeks for a dip manicure. I like that the prices are fair, for the most part, and I can get in without an appointment and I never have chipping issues like I do at other salons. I have had a couple of negative experiences and I'm not one to write reviews but today made me want to write one. Today I decided to get the same color dip that I currently had on and the lady did not take off my old dip. I have never had that happen. Normally they always take off the old and put new on. It was as if she just did a "fill" instead. I figured ok whatever, it took about 20 minutes less. I am disappointed that the dip powder cannot get all the way to my cuticles like it does when I get fresh dip every time. The lady seemed like she was in a big hurry, I'm not sure why they were not busy at all. When I went to checkout I was certain I would not pay full price, just like when you get a fill with acrylic you don't pay for a full set. Well, I was wrong. Charged me $50. I couldn't believe it. They also raised their prices last year from $45 to $50 by saying it's now a "manicure" with cuticle trim and a warm water bowl, etc. But that part actually NEVER happens . They simply just raised their prices, there's no manicure. It's just a color change. I also walked about with dried on dip on my skin which never happens either, she was in such a hurry that she didn't care to even look it over. On a separate occasion, the older guy who works there takes smoke breaks and comes back in just smelly awful. It gives me the worst headache and it's truly so unprofessional. He also burns my fingers every time with the electric sander he goes so fast. I hate feeling taken advantage of with my nails and so often I feel they're in such a hurry to get you in and out they don't care for their customers. I think I need to find a new place. read more

The last 3 times I have gone to this nail salon my nails have broken or chipped within 3 days. I have been to other nails salons recently in other cities where I have no issue with my nails lasting over a month with no breakage. They rush your service and still charge way to much for terrible service. I have tried giving them second chances and always regret my decision. Now I am on vacation with terrible looking nails. Super hit and miss! I've had pedis that last a month with no chips But i have some that last a week? Same thing with manicures. I don't recommend dip here, they use the gel light at the end and create a super thick top that does not last. I got a gel instead, my friend had a good set b4, and the first nail chipped in 4 days and 50% of the nails chipped in under a week. I came here recommended by a girlfriend who I trust implicitly for nail recommendations. I'd be willing to try this place one more time but I am very hesitant based on my experience. First, my person was less than helpful trying to find the right color. The shade she was pulling was so bright and I wanted something more muted that I ended up getting one I still don't love. Then, I asked for her length nail (I was doing Gel X), which was about medium almond and I asked for it just a hair shorter. I ended up with XS almond. The entire time she's looking at her phone and not paying attention so misses so much detail because my nails are uneven, poorly filed, and don't match the other hand. I left disappointed but the real kicker is when I got home, I noticed there are gaps between the gel X nail and my real nail. I go back and their solution is just to add more gel. Needless to say, I'm not pleased and feel like I wasted so much money. read more

I had a pretty good experience here. I really dropped the ball in waiting too long to get my nails done before New Years Eve and luckily I was able to get in here. I am so mad at myself because I asked the lovely young gentleman who did my nails his name so I could make sure to mention him in this review and In typical Tina fashion I did not remember. He was one of the younger men of that helps. He did a good job of doing the dip evenly and nice and thin. Even though he did it thin I had them on for 3 weeks and no issues with breaking or anything of the sort. I will say, he also worked to quickly I was able to squeeze a pedicure in too. One thing about the pedi. I legit wait 15 min for it to dry (I counted on my phone) and I still messed them up. Not sure if that was my fault or maybe the product? I don't know. I'm sure if I had gone back in they would have fixed without issue but as I wasn't really going anywhere in the upcoming days I was just like whatever. Either way, that was a pain. read more

Made an appointment a week in advance to sit with my girlfriend to get a mani/pedi. Got to the shop, they had me sit down to get my toes done while she got her nails done, then switched us. Completely defeated the purpose of going there in the first place! That would have been a minor annoyance if the mani/pedi was good, but they were trash. The mani peeled off within a week, and the pedicure was done by three separate technicians, all of whom seemed to struggle with nail care. Unsurprisingly, the pedicure was the worst I've had in a long time. It looked like they put 20 coats of polish on the nail, but stopped at different points so it was chunky and uneven. I also had polish on my toes when I left. Not impressed, never again! read more

I love this place ! After checking out many different nail salons in the neighborhood, I find Pink and White to be the hands down the best one. I call ahead and make appointments with Sophia, she's very attentive to detail, extremely careful and sweet. I have showed her pictures of what I'd like to get done and she does an amazing job every time. Other technicians are also good but Sophia is my favorite. I really do try to be understanding during COVID, so I have definitely factored this into my review, but I had a particularly negative experience today. I made an appointment online ahead of time, to be considerate so they could plan ahead. There were numerous openings at 12, so I picked one then. I showed up at 11:59, and it was pretty crowded. I figured it wouldn't be a problem though, since I had an appointment. There was no one positioned at the desk, and the staff were running around frantically- clearly I hit it during the busy time. They had paper health screening forms at the front desk, and someone taking temperatures, but no one was monitoring this. I didn't see a temperature get taken until I was leaving, and a CUSTOMER (not staff member) told me to fill out one of the screening forms... Someone eventually approached me & asked me if I wanted a manicure or pedicure, I said I had an appointment for a pedicure at 12. They didn't seem to process what I said- just said okay, told me to wash my hands (I'm getting a pedicure..?), pick a color, and wait at the chairs. I will say they did make an effort to seat me quickly. So after about 5 minutes, they gave me a chair. However, they didn't start filling the water in the basin, and no one approached me for 20 minutes after that to start my pedicure. I understood it was busy, so I patiently waited until it cleared out a bit. Finally, someone came up to me & started my pedicure, which was a relief. She was doing a great job, but then about 5 minutes in, got up without saying anything, and just walked away- for over 5 minutes! One of my feet was out of the water in the middle of being groomed & one in! Finally, she came back and the rest of the pedicure was great. She did a great job & the massage was relaxing. I would have just chosen to forget everything that happened up until now, but then I began to feel unsafe. The person's nail artist in the chair next to me was violating the mask mandate. For the first 5-7 minutes of her pedicure, he was just doing everything with his mask down below his chin! I'm not sure if this is just a COVID problem, but you need to have someone manning the front desk, consistently doing health screenings, keeping track of capacity and numbers. You also cannot have people with appointments waiting for 20 minutes- what is even the point of appointments then?? And finally, you HAVE to all be wearing your masks. This is currently mandated, and it makes your customers feel unsafe. Anyway, 2 stars because I'm being forgiving, but it was truly a 1-star experience in my mind. read more

Mahn Tran was the best nail tech I've ever met. Arrived before my appointment time. He greeted me at walk in. Took me right to his table. I chose my colors. Mahn was very gentle. He made no mistakes, did a very thorough job, no cuts, no mishaps. He never twisted pulled or forced my hand or fingers. After completing my nails, he gave me a hand massage. I want to add that there was no mess, no dust in my face, and no offensive chemical smells that were noticed. Whatever they are doing, it's working.
