I've always had a good experience at this neighborhood nail salon. I've done both nail art gel manicures and gel pedicures. My most recent pedicure was very meticulous and detailed- I did not feel rushed at all, and I felt that she made my feet as pretty as possible (I'm pretty hard on my feet). I've had more expensive pedis elsewhere in jacksonville that def weren't worth the money. Staff seems happy & pleasant with each other, which is also a nice atmosphere (not a catty salon haha). I am reviewing to share a very disappointing and humiliating experience I had at your salon today. As a long-time customer, I have always enjoyed my visits and appreciated the skill and service provided by Nick, my usual nail technician. When I called the day before to make an appointment, I was informed that no appointment was necessary with Nick, I found that a little strange, but ok. However when I arrived the next day, Nick was working on another clients nail. I patiently waited expecting to see him afterwards, only to be told by Jenny with a round about story, that Nick did not want to do my nails anymore. For what reason I have no idea!!!! I think what made the situation worse is Jenny's unprofessional demeanor. Instead of addressing this matter privately or over the phone when I called the day before, she told me in front of a full shop to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Please use the correct decorum with clients and address all situations professionally and privately. As per your statement, my family and I will go to another nail salon. ***Updated review following owner's response: As the owner, managing pricing and communicating it to customers is your responsibility. I visited multiple different places over the years but always wanted to try somewhere else because I didn't like how things get done and how my nails looked different than each other or thick. Jenny shows very detailed attention to nails and makes sure they are all perfect and same size. I also liked her personality and how she is caring about her employees. I really wanted to give this place a good review but after last night, the second time I've came here, I think I'll be going elsewhere. The first time the guy was about to put polish on my toenail I usually get an acrylic nail set on so I had to say something the. I had to have someone come do an acrylic toe nail for my missing nail on my left foot. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has to request this service. I made an appointment to come in today but I went last night instead. I wanted to do a fill for my nails I had done somewhere else but was told that the color I selected was not ombré and asked how much I paid for my nails. Since why is it any of their business as to how much I paid for my "ombré, not ombré" nails? Yes I know ombré is supposed to be from light to dark but I wanted mine done differently. So I ended up having them take my nails off and plus I needed to give my natural nails some breathing room so I decided to get my nails and toe nails polished the same color I had on my acrylic nails. Well needless to say, I was the last person leaving the salon. The lady who did my nails took entirely too long! I was so tired from being at work all day and then having to sit there almost all night. I was there from 5:30ish to a little after 7ish. Why did it take so long??? I'm gonna have to find somewhere else to go that doesn't take quite as long. I had a simple nail polish change and a manicure. She took forever cutting the excess cuticle around my nails but seriously....There wasn't that many people in the salon so they weren't really busy at the time I went in there. read more

You ever go in with a smiling face because you're about to treat yourself to a manicure and walk out pissed? This is the one smh. My normal shop was closed and I had broken a nail and was a few days overdue so I decided to try a new shop. Wish I didnt. The guy missed several steps in my SNS application. Put the top coat on without filing them down or anything. Then saw my frustration and decided to "redo" them. I would have rather walked around missing a nail. Oh and they take 5 dollars off your bill for positive Google or yelp reviews so honey don't waste your time. Maybe this guy is new or just doesn't respect the art because aint no way im Keith's on for 2 weeks. Yuck. To the rude lady below that asked why I dont post pics...my problem was that my nails look wavy and the gel is inconsistent. I cant take a pic of gel missing in spots because its shiny. If I wanted a discount I couldve gotten 5 dollars off by saying your service was great like everyone else you pay. I go to Fresh nails normally and never have a problem paying more than 35 for my nails and tipping. Your shop is dirty, outdated and you are rude. read more

This was my first trip to Pink and White Nails. I looked through the monthly Money magazine for a coupon and found a deal for a $25, mani/pedi. This is usually the price for a pedi only. I was pleased when I walked in and didn't smell acrylic nails. The salon was clean and the pedi chair gave the best back massage. Most pedi chairs are a little rough, but this one was perfect! The water temp was great too as most burn my feet the first five mins lol. Jenny gave me a nice pedi with a little massage. But most importantly the polish job on both my hands and feet looked great! She's a pro for sure! She has 10+ years experience. I would recommend this nail salon. They are friendly and offer great service! read more

I have been getting my nails done nearly 30 years. I have been many places. A friend suggested Pink and White Nails after I was unhappy with the place I was going. Jenny does a great job here, where other nail salons, I have lost nails from lifting and also at the quick after they start to grow out snag my hair. This should not happen between fill ins. I have not experienced that since I started getting them done at Pink and White Nails. GREAT job! They understand me and make me feel welcome. I recommend Pink and White Nails. read more

Thao is one of the best nail techs in Jacksonville! I've been to her twice to fix the botch job other "5 star" nail salons have done. She listens to what you want and actually knows what she's doing. I was in and out in under and hour. I walked in right when the salon opened w/o an appointment. But would suggest making one if you plan on going towards the afternoon/end of the week/weekend with her. One thing is that I hope this place hires a front desk person to handle scheduling. Spur of the moment decision to try this place for a mani and pedi. Not too busy on a Friday night. Was attended right away. Decent polish color options. Plastic lined pedi bowls. Chose the Deluxe pedi since it included "callous remover..." For a "deluxe", it was the fastest pedi I ever received. The tech dipped into my sisters leftover sugar scrub and lotion bowls to use on me.The hot towels looked overly used and had stain spots. My feet looked nicely washed but the rough patches remained. I was then led to the mani table with a different tech. He rummaged around for something and an overly used nail filer was in his hands. He kept turning it over as if contemplating about using it, and just went straight to work with it. Coughing and sneezing throughout the entire time. He cut my pinky and did not bother to attend to it through the entire manicure!!! He even dug in there with his thumb to swipe out nail polish!! I was glad he worked quickly. I was feeling quite stressed about these early sanitation flags. Final mani results was a throbbing pinky, varied rough edges and nail shaping. Tell me why the tools used for my mani where all stuffed in a pouch and placed back into the worktable drawer? They should be sanitized since he did cut me and use those tools on a bleeding pinky! My little sis had a pedi too and it could have been better. She had acrylics done. She was very explicit with describing what she wanted, including showing multiple pictures. One tech handled applying the acrylics and shaping. The other for the painting and design finish. End result was whatever the tech interpreted or more like what she wanted to do. They look nice but it was not what my sister asked for. My takeaway experience is that the techs were very polite. The space is large. Some clutter around spots. Dusty nail polish bottles in that one corner. Great massage chairs. Okay pricing. The quality of the deluxe pedi needs to be improved for what they charge. Decent variety of polish colors for both regular and gel. They should consider replacing their badly worn stained towels and clearing out the areas on the floor where there is clutter. It is a breeding ground for germs and critters. Overall sanitation practices are very questionable and concerning. read more

I wanted to check them out for a simple dip set and pedicure. Let's start with the pedicure: Lady was nice, but she kept rubbing the scrub as hard as she could in one spot and turned a patch of foot red. I moved my foot to get her to stop. She barely used the pumice stone and this my feet were still rough afterward. I paid for the pamper me pedicure. The same price I paid there I could have paid elsewhere and got a better pedicure. But I'm new in town and the reviews were mostly positive. So why not. Well in addition to rubbing the top of my foot raw, then comes the hot towels. Now I love hot towels but because she had been rubbing my feet and legs raw with the scrub, when she placed the hot towels on my legs and starting patting on the hot towels I had to move my legs around. She asked me if they were too hot and I told her the heat was fine but her slamming her hands on my raw rubbed legs hurt. Then after all that was done and she was rubbing lotion on my legs she put too much and had to use a towel to wipe the rest off. What waste. Now my nails: I was getting a full set with dip powder: one color, square shaped. Very simple. Because they were new to me I wanted to see how they did. Everything was going well until he had to stop doing my nails to tend to someone else and I was say to get my pedicure. After the pedicure I was back at his station (mind you he is stopping and starting with other customers too) and he uses the toll that sands down the nail to get it shaped and flat but never buffs the nails to remove the "scratches" and just puts a gel coat on top that he didn't let set long enough. I got my nails done on 1/25/2020. Today is 1/27/2020 and as you can see in the pic one of the tips to my nail just popped off from just typing on my Bluetooth keyboard for my tablet. In conclusion: never going back to this place again. read more

Would love to give them a great review because the ladies that work there at do such a great job and are genuinely nice. However, the owner Jennifer is not. She is hostile and rude and forces her employees to take clients even knowing they have an appt coming up. So when you show up on time for your appt, your nail tech who was told by Jennifer to take another client is left flustered and apologetic. When I asked how long I would have to wait for my appt, Jennifer told me that if I didn't want to wait to go somewhere else. This is the 3rd time that Jennifer has forced her staff to take walk in clients knowing they have an appt coming up. I don't take this personally, but I do think someone should look into the treatment of her employees. They all act scared around her. I have since taken my business elsewhere. But I do think of the kind ladies that work there. I hope they are all alright. read more
