Roasted oolong milk tea Matcha latte The Pink Cloud Royal King The Avocado Queen
    Heather N.

Roasted oolong milk tea (a4) -comes with boba -less ice, 50% sugar - very basic, boba is sort of flavorless Matcha latte (c8) - less ice, 25% sugar -the matcha did not seem to be whisked well and did not seem to be ceremonial grade. The matcha was in little chunks. -the texture (small matcha chunks) did make the experience less enjoyable. Both drinks are pretty basic. Not bad but doesn't have a high quality feel. The Pink Cloud Royal King -has scrambled eggs, lettuce, and bulgogi in garlic soft bread The Avocado Queen -has lettuce, tomatoes, scrambled eggs, and avocados stuffed in a garlic soft bread Both sandwiches are huge, delicious, and filling and are the reason why I rate this place a 4 instead of 3. Other than the bulgogi, the other ingredients aren't really seasoned but they were really fresh. However, the garlic toast was seasoned enough to balance the entire sandwich. The service was great. The cashier was super nice and helpful. There is also a kiosk if you don't want to talk to anyone. There were also lots of cute pink decorations around. There's also only 4 window bar stools.

My companion wanted to try a new spot and chose Pink Cloud for us to visit. The shop is on the smaller end but boasts a drink and food menu which drew us in. The inside of the shop has four bar stools and one table outside--most take it to go. The decorations are cute including some pink clouds, a crepe station, and other fun items. Service was very friendly and kind but it did take a little longer for our food to come out so be mindful of that. We chose to share the Sunset Lover and Classic Jianbing. I felt that the drink was just okay in terms of flavor. I also felt like the toppings included were minimal such as the basil seeds and mango. I preferred the food over the drink. The jianbing was made to order and cut in half which was perfect for us to share. My companion has had it before but it was my first time and I enjoyed it! The crepe part was soft yet crispy while the filling was a balance of sweet and savory. I'd want to try their other foods. For those interested in a boba shop selling something to sip and eat, I'd recommend Pink Cloud Tea & More for their food over their drinks. Located off of Addison Street, there's metered and street parking in the neighborhood.

    A4. Roasted Oolong Milk Tea

One of my favorite milk tea places in Berkeley! There is never a long line or a crowd by the drinks are always delicious and the staff is super nice! I always get the roasted oolong tea with the crème brûlée on top and they do a great job of actually torching the top so it has a great taste to it. I haven't tried any of the sandwiches but they always smell so good when I'm there and they seem giant!

A little disappointed :( Great ambiance and service. To preface, I'd like to give the food and drinks another chance. I ordered the Classic JianBing. I have to say I'm definitely a bit bias. I was comparing it to my favorite jianbing restaurant in China. I have been craving it for a long time and checked out Pink Cloud for their jianbing. It was decent but I think it was missing flavor. The pork floss was overtaking the rest of the jianbing components. It tasted more sweet than salty because of the overwhelming pork floss. My friend ordered the Egg Sando. It looked pretty good. They said the egg was perfect but the bread was very salty and garlicky. Honestly, not the best food I've had, but I want to give them another chance with their drinks. I also want to try other food options on the menu.

Got the Gyokuro and Yuzu Green Tea. I'm happy that they actually followed the 25% sweetness level, unlike so many boba places. Drinks made to order with a self serve kiosk and cute decor. Teas taste fresh and the boba is chewy and not too sweet. Will def be back!

Was craving boba and saw that Pink Cloud had recently just opened in the past few months. They're very on brand with the cute fluffy pink clouds light fixtures for interior decor. The parking is a hit or miss if you're driving in, so be prepared to pay for parking, otherwise if you get lucky you might snag some street parking. They seem to be famous for their famous korean sando's, but ya girl just wanted some boba. Seems like everyone who got the food really enjoyed it and gave them 5 stars. I think there's too much competition for quality boba in the city, so Pink Cloud has lost to go up against. Service was efficient and they had a couple bobaristas working hard to make the orders. I got their OG pink cloud milk tea, which comes with brown sugar and agar boba. It was good and adequate, your standard milk tea which is something I usually go for as a traditional boba lover. The tea left little to be desired, kind of watered down, but not too sweet for those who love 0% sugar. The boba quality was chewy but lacked the springy QQ texture I like that spots like Sunright and TP Tea usually get right every time. I ordered online for pickup, and they had my order ready for me as I circled for parking. They have contactless ordering and in-person ordering if you're looking for the human experience. The shop smells so good inside, and they have a few seats inside, no outdoor seating. The food caught my eye more than the boba did, so maybe that's for next visit!

What a great place to get brunch! Such a fun idea putting all these yummy ingredients together. We ordered the Angry Ramen, Classic Jianbing, and the BEC. All super savory and delicious. There isn't a lot of seating, so don't expect to dine in if it's a busy day. Luckily for us, there wasn't anyone there.

Pink Cloud Tea & More opens where Sushi Grab & Go once was. Same small space with an ambitious menu offering boba drinks with flourishes and fusion variants with traditional Asian eats. offerings: milk tea, fresh tea, fresh milk/latte, fruit tea, special drinks, smokies, slushy, toppings, "main chicks", crepes ..., desserts, "side chicks"... eats: classic jianbing (8.75) flatbread with lettuce within with house made sauce, egg pork floss, and sesame seed, green onion toppings. *jianbing was created in Shandong Province, northern China during the 3 Kingdoms era (200 A.D...) usually consists of "a soft pancake" made with egg, flour, water, etc. toasted cracker within, a mix of hoisin, bean sauce and a dash of chili. different locales have their variants. -the "lettuce, crisp fritters, egg pork floss, house made savory" wrapped in an flatbread has taste sensations of crunchiness, sweetness . the sesame seeds & green onions adds another level of unami. -has similarities with French crepes in that different fillings options are available. -for some it's a meal, to many, it's a "snack". not a go to, but a tasting adventure with a traditional Chinese classic. YMMV. 3.5 stars. I prefer the traditional recipe. take outs: -a few seats inside and 2 tables outside for dining. -meter street parking may be available. -drinks pricey, "Main Chicks" is about sandos, not chicken. never was a fan of this food trend. YMMV.

I've been watching loads of Asian street food videos on Youtube lately and sought out some on Yelp, only to find this new spot by my alma mater! I called in and ordered the Pink Cloud Royal King sandwich and First Kiss special drink for pick up. I knew the area and anticipated a difficult time finding parking, so it took a while for me to pick up my food. I'm really content with the staff's service because they did a follow up call for me letting me know that my order was ready. The shop is small and quaint, but there are some seats to eat and drink at. The staff were working hard and were super friendly and helpful. Now let's talk food and drink: PINK CLOUD ROYAL KING - Delicious! Reminiscent of the egg drop sandwiches I've had in Korea, and it was filled with immense flavor. The bulgogi ribeye, hollandaise sauce, and garlic butter were the culprits of such success! The only thing that was off for me was the egg being a bit more "liquidy" at certain points rather than fluffy (no worries though - still yummy!) FIRST KISS - I asked to get this at 50% sweetness and found it to be the perfect level for me! I loved the way the cheese foam topped off the peach smoothie, especially since I never thought about the two combined in terms of an ice cold drink. First impression here was a success! I'll definitely be coming back again to try more sandwiches, the tots, and other drinks!

I was so excited to try their Korean egg sandwiches after watching Asian street food shows. We ordered the shrimpzarella and the cheesy ham to share. The scrambled eggs in the sandwiches were so fluffy and worked really well with the thick garlic butter toasts. Shrimps were decent size too. They were more filling than I thought. Be prepared to wait a little since everything is made to order. Street parking only so it can be a little challenging depending on the day. Staffs were very friendly.

Small place with about 4 seats inside and a table outside. Staff are friendly and would say it would take about 10 mins for the sandwich to be made, otherwise crepes are made in front of you. I ordered the BEC and it was delicious. You can taste the butter and garlic on the toast, the egg was super fluffy, and bacon is delicious as always. My friend got the pink cloud royal king with bulgogi and she enjoyed it as well. It was really filling, so if you're not hungry it'd be good to share!

An unassuming exterior, but cutely decorated on the inside! As for dining indoors, there are only 3 teeny spots facing the window. I went after 1:30 pm so there was no line, which I was grateful for because I was starving. My friend and I both ordered the BEC and he also got a jasmine fresh tea with foam. The food took 10-15 minutes. I was watching the worker make a JianBing as well which is what I want to try next! It looked so crispy BEC review: so aesthetic! The eggs were very soft scrambled and fluffy. The bacon is more on the "undercooked" soggy side, so if you like crispy bacon, this might not be for you. The breaddddd...SO fluffy and so soft with the perfect crunchy exterior coated in garlic butter. It looks like two pieces of bread but it's actually one very thick piece of toast cut 3/4 of the way down with the fillings stuffed in. The bottom of the sandwich is all bread, but I love bread so take that as you will. It was ~$11 after tax. As for the drink review, my friend said it tasted like watered down tea. The cheese foam also didn't sit well on top of the fresh tea. Drinks ranged from $5-$7. Overall I would go back for the food, but I don't think I will try the drinks.

Pink Cloud Tea is new Korean Chinese fusion place and very cute store in Berkeley! We tried their tater tots, pink cloud milk tea, the bulgogi egg garlic bread sandwich, and the crispy jian bing with bulgogi. I would skip the tater tots and the specific milk tea we got. It wasn't very special, and felt a bit over priced because it was under whelming. I really liked their egg sandwich. The garlic bread was perfectly garlicky and the bulgogi was well marinated and tender. I definitely felt way too full without finishing it so beware of a food coma! I just wish it came with a bit more meat than what's on the top. The crispy jian bing was a bit greasy, but still very crispy. I liked the bulgogi that came with it because it was a good sweet and salty balance.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when restaurants reduce the guality or quantity of their meal to cut costs while charging premium prices. I will say I didn't mind paying a few dollars more for their subs in the past. I went there today for the first time in a couple of years, ordered a regular size basic ruben sandwich (no add-ons) and was ok paying nearly $18 dollars for just the sandwich until they handed it to me. what I got was a small 6" sub. When did their subs shrink?? in this economy we are all struggling. I get it, things cost more but Craves' owner is not doing his patrons a service by charging them premiums while cutting back on the meals. If you're ok paying that much for a shrunken sub, more power to you. I l, however, will not be going back there.

We found it very tasty, but paying over $25 for this on DoorDash--certainly not worth the price even though we really enjoyed it. The spicy chicken parm sandwiches were not good. The chicken breast was flabby, and came across like it was one of those frozen cooked Tyson jobs. I would be very surprised if they actually breaded chicken breast, fried it, and made the sandwich with that. It was mushy, and the breading was like paste on the chicken. Pretty awful. They charge extra for sauce, which is a little much, given that we paid $21 for each sandwich. But we figured out pretty quickly why they do this: there was hardly any sauce on the sandwiches. And precious little cheese. We each ate half of our sandwich and figured we doctor the leftovers up the next day with a jar of Rao's and a bag of shredded Italian cheese. That helped, but nothing could save that chicken. The meatballs. We paid $15 for four, and we had high hopes, but they were so mushy that they fell apart in the sauce, and I couldn't tell what was sauce and what was meatballs. The only flavor that came across was fennel. Why any meatball should be so fennel-forward strikes me as bizarre. We got what we thought were pretty basic things, and they were fails. If an Italian place can't make a decent chicken parm sandwich nor a decent meatball, that says something. If you go, try the pinsa.

Awhile back, I tried to bring as much business to Star Meat as I could because 1. it's a small business and 2. it's inside Star Grocery (which I LOVE, so it's convenient). When I would go there, there would often be 2 or 3 people behind the counter and oftentimes I would be the only customer. I felt like I had to stand there forever before anyone even acknowledged I existed. Each person would be busy doing something, but there was no "I'll be with you in 2 minutes." Finally, I went one day and there were 3 workers behind the counter chatting with each other. I was the only customer and was standing around 6 feet away from them, looking right at them. They went on with there conversation (not doing any other work) for a full 5 minutes. Finally I thought, "OK, they really don't seem to want my business, so I can go to any one of 4 other places and get what I want." That was a year or two ago. So, today I thought, why not give it another try, it's certainly convenient. Again, I'm the only customer at the counter. One guy is washing equipment and two guys are making sandwiches. I know that they know that I'm there, there are mirrors all along the back wall exactly for the purpose of seeing the customers. After around 4 minutes I think, who knows how long I'm going to be standing here. Maybe they have to make 20 sandwiches and I'll be here for a half hour. So, I left. I don't have anything like this experience at the 4 other meat counters I go to in the area. I'm totally fine waiting if I have some sense that I'm waiting for a purpose and that the worker will get to me as soon as they can. But at Star Meat, it feels like I'm more of an inconvenience than a customer. "Hi, I'll be with you as soon as I can," goes a long way.

Their food selection is also better than you'd expect from a coffee shop. In addition to coffee and pastries, they offer cakes, breakfast items, and a variety of other snacks and treats, so there's always something to pair with your drink. Their hours are convenient, making it easy to stop by throughout the day. The only area where I think there's room for improvement is cleanliness. I've noticed on several occasions that when I arrive shortly after opening--sometimes within 30 minutes to an hour--there are still crumbs on the chairs, tables, and floor, even when there haven't been many customers yet. First impressions matter, and the café should be fully cleaned and ready for guests before the doors open. Customers shouldn't have to wipe down their own tables before sitting. Overall, I really enjoy coming here and would absolutely recommend it for the atmosphere, Wi-Fi, seating, and food options. With a little more attention to cleanliness before opening each day, it would be an even better experience.

A true hidden gem right at the bottom of Solano Ave in Albany!…read more I'm embarrassed to admit that Picnic has been around for about 5 years in the east bay and I've just tried it for the first time this week. But I'm so glad I was finally introduced to it. The staff greet you promptly when you enter and you can even watch them work effortlessly together in the open prep-station behind the counter. They have a gorgeous display of deli items, wines, cheeses, cold sides, and even some cute candles & house made croutons. They've got everything you would need for an elevated picnic or even a barbecue with the family. They have an intriguing selection of house made sausages-- the Chicken Tikka Masala sausage caught my eye and I can't wait to try it. They also sell whole smoked quail that are seasoned heavily yet each bite has just the right amount of smokiness, spices, and salt. Their hot food items and sandwiches are perfect for a quick lunch during your break from work or on your way home. There are also a few counter seats if you want to enjoy your meal there. So far I've tried the smoked quail, the Muffaletta sandwich, and their green lentil soup with chicken + veg. The sandwich was filled to the brim and each bite was a flavor bomb. The lentil soup was very comforting & paired well with the smoked quail. I'm looking forward to trying everything they have to offer.

I really wanted to love this place. Very small and quirky, limited menu. I'm not really a "salad is…read morea meal" person, although my two best friends are. They were very happy with their arugula salads. I ordered the mac n cheese which was okay. Even though I grew up in El Cerrito, I sometimes feel like my NorCal green card has expired. I've lost touch with my small batch, organic self. (Although I have never liked arugula) This store is adorable and just the kind of independent neighborhood place that should be frequented and appreciated. Unfortunately I also had to use the bathroom and they don't have one for customers. So they recommended walking a block away to the BevMo. So I guess that added some negative feelings.
