Got a mani pedi today and I love the ombré look! Like the review below, it did take about 2 hours due to having one nail tech. The ladies were very friendly and responsive to my requests. I went with a groupon and plan on coming back to receive lash extensions in the future. Overall the place is very clean and cute :). I can't wait to go back and try different designs! *One thing to look out for: anything other than solid colored nails will be extra charge. So in addition to a horrible pedicure the management is also highly unprofessional. Were they accusing me of lying in my last review? The only reason I even left one is because I chose this place via Yelp and felt burned by all of the other (somewhat suspicious) reviews. To address their questions and comments: 1. How could my nails be crooked if I only got a pedicure? Well... I have nails on my feet. The woman cut them crooked. 2. They discussed my feet being too soft for a scrub with me? They must be confusing me with someone else. That conversation did not happen with me. My feet are far from soft. So far, in fact, that my husband laughed out loud when I showed him their response. I'm like a tall hobbit. Hence the need for a pedicure. 3. I didn't discuss the chair being uncomfortable and the water being lukewarm? That's true. You've got to pick your battles sometimes. 4. The price I stated for a pedicure was wrong because I didn't mention the discount? The phrase I used was "they expect you to pay $35." I said "expect you" because the price for a subpar pedicure is $35, and people should know that. Yes, I received a discount when I told them I was unhappy and I'm grateful for that because I had to get another pedicure 30 minutes later. I got a massage, scrub, buffing, and a color I actually wanted (because Pink House had very few to choose from) and paid about $20. It's also not the price. I'm happy to pay $70 for a great pedicure, but for $35 you should at least get the basics when there are much cheaper places around. So there you have it. While I can't objectively say that they are the worst in San Francisco, as they seemed so defensive of, I stand by my statement that it's the worst nail experience I've ever had. read more

My new favorite nail salon! I was in the market for a new salon to call home after my go-to place closed down. Pink House absolutely came through for me, and even got me to switch back from acrylics (which they don't do) to gel, which I thought wouldn't be durable enough for my brittle nails. The decor is femme and stunning and the atmosphere is so tranquil and calm. Even better though is the staff who are so patient and attentive; I came in with hard gel from another salon, the type that's thick and tough like acrylic, and the woman who did my nails (wish I asked for her name, but I know she isn't the owner) took all the time necessary to remove them without damaging my natural nails, starting with acetone and moving on to the gentlest drill I've ever seen. I felt terrible coming in with such a tough nail job but she was so patient. My dainty nails didn't break and she gave me a beautiful, sturdy gel manicure with accent nails. The owner came over to watch and presumably make sure everything was going ok. The pictures attached are from a little less than a week after the manicure (I didn't opt for cuticle removal, but she gave the option). I'm so happy with the set - along with a LONG hard gel removal and three designed nails, it cost about $70-80, absolutely worth the cost in my opinion. read more

I got my eyelash extensions here. The price is pretty reasonable for SF. The location is decent. Around 15 minutes walk from financial district, 10 minutes walk from Powell station. Used a grupon for this place & was able to make a same day appointment! All the employees were so friendly and patient while I took a good 5 minutes to decide which color I wanted haha. Definitely coming back even without the grupon. Linda did my nails and she was great! Made me feel relaxed. Only downside was that they played religious music instead of something more upbeat. Maybe next time they should play oldies, 80's, or since it is PRIDE week, a playlist with divas to celebrate PRIDE :) read more

Wow! This place is awesome. Highly recommended!! I was there with my wife last week. While my wife doing the manicure, the owner suggested me to try their wooden spa machine. She said that its import from Korea and they are the only place have these in the city. It was pretty magical, I felt really relaxed and soothing so I fall into sleep, hard to describe but I really suggest you to try it out. What a great place for acupuncture message! It's a brand new nail, salon and spa shop locates at Sutter street. I went there last Saturday for my 3:00pm appointment. Easy to find, parking was relatively easy. I went there 10 minutes late but the staff was very nice and patient. The shop is clean and big, Zhuzhu was my masseuse, she is a licensed therapist and she was very professional and right on each acupuncture point with perfect pressure. Zhuzhu is probably one of the best masseuses in city. The whole experience was very pleasant plus they are offering 10% off during soft opening period. Five star shop with five star service! Today was my first time getting a gel manicure at Pink House and I was pretty impressed. Heejin was my nail technician, and her attention-to-detail was spot on. She took her time, made sure my nails were filed to my liking, and helped me get the chrome nails I've always wanted! A couple hours later, though, I noticed my nails had lost some of the chrome. The owner was responsive and I was able to walk in that same evening to fix my nails, which I very much appreciated. If you decide to get chrome nails, you should ask your nail technician to apply some hard gel so the chrome doesn't come off. Overall, I had a positive experience at Pink House. read more

Been here three times, and am a big fan! Jenna is my favorite nail tech by far. She is extremely thorough in every step, including cuticle removal, and hand massage + cuticle oil + hot towel at the end. Plus she offers me water every single time, so nice. She is so precise when it comes to nail polish application, and takes care to make sure each nail polish layer is painted on perfectly. Not only that, but she is super talented at nail art as well (see attached photos)! I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted, and she showed me this Korean app that literally had thousands of nail art ideas organized by color. I found this design that looked super difficult, but she did not hesitate and ended up with this amazing final product in the photos. Looked just like the example in her app! It ended up taking a lot of time because of the complexity of the design, but she never rushed and spent ~2 hours perfecting it. She also kept checking in to make sure I was satisfied with the colors she chose, the color placement on the nail, and the gems she added. Overall amazing customer service and she is so sweet and nice. Really fun to talk to, and made me feel at home--like she was a friend that I've known for a long time. WARNING!!!!!!! The massage was ok but then I was guilt tripped and told I was cheap for only offering a $10 tip. Completely sullied the whole experience, she told me don't bother, next time go to another store. She refused my tip lol. Not sure how a place like this gets any return business when you are harassed at the end. In addition to the harassment at the end, the masseuse Cici, refused to give me a full hour massage claiming she didn't have change for my $100 bill, so I got 45 minutes instead. I asked her to only focus on my shoulder which was the whole reason for my visit, she then spent equal time across my whole body not focusing any special attention on the area I requested. I was also asked if I wanted my dick massaged when I rolled over. Basically the girl was mad I didn't want a happy ending so she couldn't make any extra money. Then she spent 5 minutes demanding a $20 tip which I told her I would go to the store and get her a $10. She told me I was cheap and that I should never come back there and to go get a massage somewhere else. Not to mention she made me pay upfront for the massage, which is essentially how prostitution works not a reputable massage parlor. A laughably horrible experience overall. Don't even try to come back at me with any kind of defense of this nonsense from your employee, good luck staying in business with this horrendous service and attitude. read more

I've had many pedicures in SF, and this is BY FAR the absolute best! My gel pedi (with gel removal) was $45, about 90 minutes, and the manicurist did a fantastic job. She used an e-file to buff my actual feet, and the individual attention to each little toe is perfection. The aesthetic of Pink House is super cute, albeit a little dated even though it's new. There aren't any magazines (that I could see), so bring your own or a book. Also, definitely make an appointment, as there are only 2-3 ladies working there at one time, so the chances of getting a walk-in are slim. They take Venmo, too! Got my gel manicure and pedicure (regular color) done few days ago and I'm happy about what I got, but also I wish they told me my simple color (not even gel) with simple design (polka dots) for pedicure will turn out to be $65! Whenever I got similar designs or pedicure I never paid more than $50 before so it was surprising. I made appointment few days in advance and I saw some people walked away because they couldn't take walk ins since they were all busy and there were only two nailist when I went there, so you should make appointment when you go. My nailist was really nice and did my nails carefully but I wish they gave me two hands instead of just her. It took us more than two hours to get everything done but usually at nail places two people help you at the same time. I was really exhausted after that. So I would say go different place if you are getting both pedicure and manicure or just get manicure there. They actually have cool color selection for gel manicure. read more

My first experience was ok. I made my booking through Yelp and was surprised to get an immediate response. I arrived on time but had to wait they took me at my scheduled time. I came in for the eyelash extensions and nail package they advertised but was charged a bit more. I didn't mind because the eyelash technician Apple was very good and my lashes were very well done although since she spent more time on my right eye it looked a bit fuller than my left but I made it work. My nail technician was so so. I had better. My lashes lasted 3 weeks and I got many compliments. When I requested a refill quote and an appointment on a particular day they said the refill was free but directed me to another day of the week which I accepted. When the day came I sent a message through yelp confirming the appointment but they told me the day was full. They then again directed me to another day which I accepted. The night before the appointment they texted me this time claiming the girl called in sick and they would have to reschedule me to call the next day for a new appointment. At that point was wasn't going to have it. I believe since the service was free they decided to bump me off those two times. That's not a way to run a business. I would never go back nor recommend that place again. If I only knew if Apple worked at another location I would follow her in a heartbeat. The owner however needs a lesson in customer service. read more
