This makes me sad to write because the staff really was nice, but my experience overall was just not great. If you have long nails this place isn't for you, if you'd like to be out in a timely manor again not for you, and if you want to pay a decent price this just isn't the place. I made an appointment at 10:30 and left at 12:30. Took over an hour to do a dip polish. Then I needed two nails fixed they charged $7 EACH to make my nails crooked and thick. my husband had gotten me a gift certificate for Pink nails so i didn't want his money to be wasted . That was the first problem because I had to argue with one of the ladies to use it as she said there were new owners and it wasn't good because the new owner only has certificates for 6 months, after calling the new owner they said ok we can use it. The second issue was they said they didn't do extra things on the nails like designs and art , but after asking if I could just get a couple snowflakes drawn on the painted nails they agreed, The worst was she rushed through the last half of the appointment because another woman had come in and was being a bit impatient. I also had to put out way too much money on top of the gift certificate . I would definitely Not recommend going here at all , they really need to be more professional and show consideration to their customers. read more

Pink Nail is a small nail salon in a wawa dominated shopping center. Stopped there completely randomly while my husband was working out at the gym. Three people working when I walked in. Very clean. I had the mani-pedi. Pedicure was nice and leisurely. I appreciated the short massage and lotion. The manicure was also on point. They asked during both services if I wanted the "quick-dry" top coat for $1 extra. I passed on the pedi as I would be getting the mani, but decided to get it for the manicure. This is probably the worst nail salon I've EVER been to. I do feel bad saying that just because the staff can be nice. However, my experience was just a disaster. I first attempted to get a manicure as a walk-in. Even though there were only about four people total there, I was told they were too busy for me and could not help me. Fair enough. I made an appointment for the following day asking for an acrylic refill. I needed an acrylic refill on my nails. The manicurist literally would not give me acrylic, saying it's not good for her to breathe in. Totally understandable, as the fumes are harsh, but don't advertise that you will provide certain services that you are not willing to. Had they told me this when I called, I probably would've gone somewhere else. However, my nails were already ripped up at this point so I decided to go with her suggestion of dip powder, since she was very insistent that she would "take care of me." The entire process took 2 HOURS, during which I was reprimanded for the salon I previously went to (a very nice salon-they just closed early during the week and I was in a bind). The entire session was spent complaining about how horrible they were and how I should have never gone there. I felt like I was a kid in the principal's office. At this point, the salon was REALLY getting crowded. There were about 9+ people in there at one point. They NEVER turned anyone away, even though I was turned away the day before. They would leave me for long periods of time unattended while they worked on the new clients. I found this very frustrating, as I was turned away the day before for it being "too crowded," but when I actually make an appointment I sit there waiting for 45 minutes while they alternate between new walk-ins. Also, we should probably talk about how I was given one price when I called, yet when I was there I was told I was going to be charged $15 extra. And to top it off, I was yelled at that I wasn't "clear enough." Don't know how clear I need to be. At one point, a girl actually came in to say that she got her nails done there yesterday and they were all chipped off. That's when I knew I was REALLY in for a treat. So, I decided to pay extra to get a gel overlay to make sure they didn't chip. Finally, over two hours later, I was able to leave. My hands actually HURT and were bleeding around the cuticles. I've been to a million nail salons, and I have never been in physical pain before. As soon as I got home, my nail polish COMPLETELY unraveled. I was left with completely bare nails. I don't think the polish was able to stick to the dip powder. But the story doesn't stop there. I went back the next day to get one nail that was in very bad shape fixed. Even though multiple nails were chipped, I could not afford to stay there for another 2 hours. They scratched off all names on the polish, so finding the correct polish match was a trip. They took over 25 minutes to "fix" the nail. However, when they put alcohol on the top coat at the end, all of the nail polish came off again and I was left in worse shape. I told them I didn't have any more time to spend there, and just left. They looked confusing as to why I was annoyed. I will NEVER go back and my nails STILL hurt. read more

$22 for a pedicure, but on Monday - Wednesday they have a mani/pedi special for $27. Not bad. However, the massage chairs do not work. They went a little crazy and were rough with the cuticle cutters, clipping the hell out of my skin around my nails making it so I now have a lot of hangnails. The girl who did my mani cut my skin so I was bleeding. I saw "Ouch," and she did not acknowledge that with an apology. Weird. The girl who did my pedicure gave me a very nice massage! I could have fallen asleep. The polish looks good, and they shaped my nails nicely, and I would go back for the leg and foot massage. I think you have to tell them not to go crazy with the cuticle cutters and everything should be fine (after they get their massage chairs fixed!) read more

I've never had an problems at Pink Nails. I go at least once a month to get my eyebrows waxed and they always come out great. My pedicures/manicures are always just fine, not absolutely amazing but never sloppy or painful. I usually only go every now and then but my mom is there monthly for her manicure/pedicure and loves it. read more

Good manicure however the owner said that the minimum charge in order to use my credit card was $20. Typically there's a $10 minimum with other stores, so this seemed unreasonable. read more

I went today just for a pedicure - just perfect! The pedicurist spent plenty of time on me, which included a long soak, a very thorough scrubbing, calus filing, a massage with hot stones and a final cleanse and lotion treatment. The station and room were clean, the staff were pleasant. I will be back for sure read more

Have been going to Pink Nail for years. Kim is great. Have been to many other salons in the area, just to give them a try, but I always end up going back here! I get pedicures, gel manicures, waxes. She was the first person I let wax my eyebrows! Recently got lips waxed for the first time:) read more

They give a great pedicure...the massage chairs are fixed and work great. I go there once a month for a pedicure and have never had a bad one. They give a long massage....(the best part) and the polish stays for over a month. I also get my eyebrows done there. Kim is an eyebrow SPECIALIST!!!! It is amazing what she could do with my eyebrows. They always look amazing when she is done. Overall, the shop is clean and the people who work there are very nice also. read more

100% AWFUL & RUDE! I got a gift certificate for Christmas to this place and so, despite the run-down 1980s decor, I decided to get a pedicure, shellac manicure, and eyebrow and lip wax. I walked in, told the owner what I wanted, and she didn't seem thrilled (hello, I'm here to spend over $70 in your shop!). She told me to pick out a color and then told me I wasn't choosing fast enough b/c she had a large party coming in in a couple of minutes. Okay, I get that you have to make an appointment... but she didn't have to be so rude. You could tell the technicians were embarrassed by her lack of manners. I decided to just get the pedicure and rip up the rest of the gift certificate. AND to top if off, I decided to get the $1 "Fast Dry" polish which was supposed to dry in only a minute. Well 5 minutes later, I put my shoes on and felt the polish completely slide off. Just ridiculous -- you've been warned! read more

I agree with Amy. There is one technician that will cut your cuticles too much until you bleed. She apologized when she made me bleed but she didn't put a solution on top to stop the bleeding. Instead, when polishing my nails, she added polish to that area- on my skin!!!!!! I asked her would that help the bleeding. Her response was non -committal. The other technician that works there does not cut cuticles enough. She will barely graze around the area so my mani-pedi only look like I've received a polish change, smh. I've visited the place about 4 times and twice, a customer (different each time) complained that the polish came right off of her nail. She was upset that she had just visited the day before and didn't understand how it could come off. I do, the girl that doesn't cut cuticles adds about 3 to 4 coats of polish (in addition to base and top coat= total 6) because she doesn't seem to polish uniformly. I go to this place because they always seem to accept appointments when I'm in a crunch. Also, the sale for mani-pedi is the best in town. However, don't expect top notch service or skill level. The owner gives great manicures, I have no issues with her cuticle cutting or polishing skills. She is excellent. She however, doesn't perform pedicures. She always pressures customers to purchasing the 'fast dry'. Even if you you say no thanks, she will pressure until you say yes. SMH. Highly annoying!! This place is my local last resort if I unable to go to my preferred salon. read more

Owner is always on her person phone and business phone. She mid-waxed me while answering the phone. I WAS VERY UNHAPPY, it hurt!! That was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. She didnt even powder me up before hand.She also made me wait 20 minutes in the waxing room when no one was even there to be busy!!! Other employees every time Im there, seem to be involved with their own personal lives by answering their cells and not washing their hands afterwards. I call ahead of time to get a price check, then told me another price during my wax consultation, which is fine, THEN told me a third price not including tip after my wax!..i may look young but im 25 and this was technically a scam. Price is reasonable for a mani/pedi but beware, you get what you pay for! Employees are constantly on their personal cell phones while working on customers. One nail tech cut my nails so short that it bled! She didn't even acknowledge the fact that I was bleeding or apologize. I have never had a manicure that was as painful or uncomfortable like that before. The paint job was subpar at best. If you want to use fast dry top coat you have to pay extra. I have never been to a salon that charges extra for something like that! Will not be returning. read more

It is not a clean place, they place no value on the customer or the experience- the only reason I would ever go is to have someone besides me change my polish. I have seen Kim be rude to her own employees, she dismisses customers sometimes, and she does not seem like a pleasant owner. I dont care about the price difference- I would rather take my business where the employees are treated respectfully by their boss and where I dont question the sanitary nature of the establishment. nail salons in Hillsborough are in plentiful supply. The first time I went, it took over two hours for her to do a gel manicure. I thought this was an anomaly, but then my friend and I went again: me for a gel manicure and her for a simple mani/pedi. It took over two hours for me and almost three and a half for her. The problem is that it just the owner and the pedicure girl working and the owner doesn't manage the clients well. She takes on everyone and bops from client to client to attend to their nails. A week and a half after my manicure there, my nail chipped and I had to go elsewhere to get them fixed. So not worth it and I won't be back. read more
