I have waited 3 years to make this review. I really wanted to go wit a lot of thought and see how things might improve . I had a lumpectomy with a lift on both sides so her part was cosmetic. She didn't do what I asked and told me right after surgery . Also there was no follow up for weeks . I kept calling as I felt like something was wrong . Never had me come in . She told me to wait until after radiation to see how they are. They had no change so if she did what I asked it would have been better . Things are very uneven different size and just look awful. Then to top it off for my final check up I get a call the week before that. They're not taking my Blue Shield PPO any longer so I never even got to have my final visit to show her. They didn't even let me know beforehand so I could've come in. I also got billing wrong many times and had to ask for money back. She was nice, but nice didn't cut it. read more

Incisions were so much more than told they would be and could have done without her services (had a primary surgeon during the procedure) and then billed for prosthesis! I was Dr. Olaya's patient, and each time during my visit she talk very meanly to me. She has no heart for cancer patients, and I am not happy with her surgery, I got an infection I called a few times but she told me is normal, I went to my family doctor and he prescribes me antibiotics. Unprofessional. This is tge most mismanqged Medical office i've ever had to deal with, and i one better because i manage one myself. From dogs in the office, to the Drs 6 yr old niece in her crop top, to family members not knowing how to obtain prior auths for procedures and charging you for the surgicenter deposit even though they couldnt get you authorized, to spending over 6mos trying to get SOMEONE to answer in their office so i can pay my copays they failed to collect during each visit, to sending a letter with my payment to the address on their invoice "but no one has rcvd it yet", to finding out today ...after I called them to see why my credit card hadn't been charged...i was told they sent me to collections! Came here for a consultation for a non cosmetic procedure. Took a month to wait for just the consultation. Charged me $50 for it. I would have been a cash patient. I was literally trying to throw my money at them to get my surgery scheduled and over with. The staff made it impossible to proceed. I had to call the office everyday for "final numbers" for the cost of my surgery. Every time I called for the total cost of my surgery I would explain to them why I was calling and he girl on the other end of the phone would simply say, "YEAH?.....". Then blame the failure of not having my total cost on someone named Jade and say, OH SHE WILL CALL YOU BACK TODAY". This went on for over a week They consist of very young unfocused,unprofessional, and socially inept employees that lack even the most basic and decent telephone etiquette. They seemed confused by the task at hand and would ask the same questions over again as if they lacked understanding of the most basic medical terms. Suffice to say we went else where. Stay away from this place. Thanks for wasting my time. They should use my $50 consult fee and buy a manners for dummies book! read more

Monday morning last week at 5:30 am I was entered into St Joseph's Hospital in Orange for a much-needed hernia repair. Which was the remnants after having colon cancer surgery back in November of 2015 when they removed my entire colon and left me with a very small hernia that had built and built and built over the years. I had felt this hardening in my belly and they kept saying that it was just normal it was scar tissue that it would go away. Unfortunately it never did and after many different tests, ultrasound that could not be performed because of the pain and finally got the doctors to give me a CT scan. Finding out that after almost 2 years I had a bad gallbladder and hernia that was built up around my belly button area. It was huge the size of a football and though it wasn't super lumpy at the time that everybody kept saying it was scar tissue by this time it was evident it was a hernia. I had scheduled for surgery February 5th unfortunately one day before Rhonda's birthday and we had it all planned and had pre-op two weeks before with the surgeon come to find out that the second surgeon who was instructed to come in and remove my gallbladder was unavailable, so we rescheduled for march 5th. The gallbladder calcified don't look it up it just means that it's hardened and had about a 20% chance of cancer which were still waiting for pathology results to come back whether or not that's the case. I went in the surgery it was six and a half hours of anesthesia where the first surgeon came in removed the gallbladder the second surgeon came in. I want to make note and record that anybody who has ever had a hernia or knows anybody that has one they have to go to Dr Windy Olaya out of St Joseph hospital. She is a reconstructive Specialists plastic surgeon and hernia specialist. She is the only person that I was able to find in a much searched after hernia repair that was able to do without a mesh without all these screens that you hear all these complications about. I personally know friends have had many hernia repairs done and lots of problems having to go back in that they've moved that they've come apart that the staples have popped out. She did it with pig skin and she hand-stitched me back together inside my belly. The pig skin in my dermis of my belly when she put me back together again instead of staples she hand-stitched me. As most of my friends and family known I have been overweight most of my life. I had lost before cancer probably 30 pounds and since cancer another 45 to 50 pounds of weight but unfortunately I was not able to reduce the loose skin. Those of you that are big people at one time or have ever lost a lot of weight know that that loose skin doesnt go away. Nothing you can do about it. Ive been walking several miles per day, and it's in the way of life, pulling my back and it actually caused me to have a bigger hernia because of the amount of skin and the amount of weight that was pulling on my belly. I end up getting approval through anthem for her to actually do a reconstructive surgery to remove the excess skin by no means does that mean every drop of fat or every inch of skin was removed and to be frank with you I'm so swollen right now. I can tell you that it does feel smaller and look smaller but I won't be able to tell what's really been done until several weeks later. But I can tell you what a godsend Windy Olaya is. I do want to end this review by saying she from the get-go was very helpful explaining everything to us even repeating herself on many occasions because things we had thought we understood we didn't we wrote things down and still didn't understand she visited me every day in the hospital she explain things to me she told me what to do what not to do she's funny she is helpful and I can't tell enough people I was not paid in any way shape or form to give this review and I would refer refer my friends and family to her there was an anybody that I've talked with that even knew about this surgery with pig skin and that it could even be done I just know so many people that have done meshes and screens and have had problems we've all seen the commercials and I just pray that every single person out there has the chance to work with dr.
