We just completed our second project with Pink Rose. In both cases, the staff member that came out was courteous, explained the job, provided an easy to understand estimate, performed the work as good as or better than described, and was super neat such that there was no trace they were ever here. In the most recent case, we had a front porch post that was suddenly rotting and coming down. Someone was dispatched the same day. When it was determined not to be structural, the post was repaired the next day and it perfectly matches the original post. You cannot tell the difference. We will definitely use Pink Rose in the future! Their service cannot be beaten. We've never had a contractor work so efficiently and neatly in our home. read more

I needed to remove a wheelchair ramp from the garage and build a step up to the door into the house. Michael Porter from Pink Rose did an excellent job removing the ramp, and built a very nice step (almost a platform) allowing my wife and I to enter the house with ease from the garage. Pink Rose Handyman phone service is excellent. The scheduling manager called me today to tell me that a handyman could come today instead of February. He came within 50 minutes of the service call. The gentleman who came in was professional and courteous. He took his shoes of because I just had my family room floor refinished and repaired. I called Pink Rose Handyman because their ads used to say "No job too small." I asked for an estimate to replace 3 kitchen drawers, update the sliding mechanism, use the same facing and brush nickel handles. I paid the $31 for the estimate. I know the prices for custom blank drawer boxes ($45-60), sliding hardware ($20-30), and mounting brackets ($10-20). I know hourly carpentry rates are about $90 an hour depending on the complexity of the job. Below is a picture of my maple drawer. The reason I'm doing this review on Yelp is how insulting the estimate was. So this is a Kitchen 3-drawer replacement with respective hardware updated. I've been having major renovations done to my home so I have been in contact with contractors. So I know about prices. Pink Rose Handyman gave me an estimate to replace and update 3 Kitchen drawers. The job entails: (1) Removing old drawers and faces. (2) Installing new drawer glides. (3) Install Drawers and (4) Install new drawer fronts. I was bracing for the entire job to be about $400-$600.00 wiggle room for markups and labor. The serviceman was in his van for about 30 minutes crunching numbers. I'm estimating he was using contractors computer program to get the figures. The actual estimate was... Mind you your head may explode. $1918.08 Not a typo. Good Lord. I felt a new artery burrowing into my brain. I told the service person he should be embarrassed to himself and the company he works for such an estimate. Too poor to get any stars. Terrible company. Charged $600 to change a diverter spout on my daughter's shower. In the house less than 1 hr. Just had to unscrew the the old one and screw the new one in. Part costs less than $30. When questioned, Joe the owner said he hires "professionals" but this PRO didn't even know what he was there for. He had to ask my granddaughter what he was there for. My daughter called "joe" and he gave her no reason for the ridiculous cost. I have sent the BBB a comment and they said they were sending my complaint to Pink Rose and said they will have the opportunity to answer the complaint. Pat & his helper Mitch are great workers and very professional. Pat understood exactly what & how I wanted the bath to look like. Mike D. installed a ceiling bathroom fan in our bathroom. We didn't have one at all so it was a full day job. He did excellent, protected our bathroom surfaces and even vacuumed any dust trail he left from the mud. He kept us informed through the process and checked in with me. And left it ready for us to paint and showed us how to take the fan cover off for painting around it. Before quoting with Pink Rose Home Service I called another local home improvement place and he wouldn't even come to my house to quote me. He told me over the phone "it's not my cup of tea but it will be $1500 to go through the side of your house". I immediately called Pink Rose Home Service and they came to my house and quoted me to put the ceiling up through the roof and not the side of my house. He put a roof vent kit in and wired a new switch in to control the fan and pre existing vanity. All cost ~$500 less than my quote with the other company. read more

We were SO excited to find a handyman service that could help us with the myriad of projects we eventually wanted to do in our new home. We were left with overpriced poorly done work (they guarantee their work but there is no way we are willing to let them in again) that took much longer than expected for only a few small projects. We called in the fall immediately after purchasing our new home with the priority item of replacing a piece of flashing required by our insurance company which our mortgage depended on. We we're hopeful it could be done that day. A very nice handyman came out and wrote down all of the items on our three year to do list and put an insanely low estimate of what it would cost to get them all done. It was not broken down by project and we weren't sure that it could be considered a quote since the price didn't seem accurate. He "fixed" a spot on the roof around a vent above where there was a water stain on ceiling and told us he didn't have time that day to do the flashing. He suggested we pay for a plan that provides a discount and that we put together the aforementioned three year list of projects so he could clump togeyjer a full day's worth of work each time he came. He said it would save money as the first hour is more expensive than the remaining hours so full days are the best way to use them. He scheduled a return date a little over two months away and said there would likely be a cancellation before that date. The date arrived and a different handyman arrived which surprised us since we were told we would always have the same guy. He said the first one had been fired for low quotes and he would be our person moving forward. He said the initial number was very low and had not been approved as a quote so we would be paying more than double that amount for the things he could do that day. Because the original number seemed low to us we weren't overly concerned about this change. As with the first gentleman the new handyman was very nice. He hung an indoor awning in our playroom, switched out some light fixtures, removed a ceiling fan, mounted a microwave and hung a curtain rod. He was unable to fix the flashing due to there being snow that day. He booked the flashing repair three months away (a total of approximately 6 months from our first call) and said it would be pushed further into spring if it were snowing on that March day. He also said he could not finish or schedule a date to finish the indoor list until he returned for the flashing in March. In the meantime we started to get pressure from our insurance company because the missing flashing could damage the home. If our insurance got canceled so would our mortgage. We found that the original ceiling stain had a new wet stain, the microwave fanwas not venting properly which led to regular smoke alarms when we cooked and the curtain rod was noticeably crooked. I called to find out if we could book a full day of indoor repairs (and re-repairs) in addition to the March date to fix the flashing since that date would only happen if there was no snow and the handyman had told us it was more of an open ticket and that he would come when he had an open window of time on a day that was not snowy. The woman in the office, like the handymen, was very nice. She insisted that there was a miscommunication because someone would definitely be at our home regardless of weather on that March date. I was skeptical at first but she was adamant that we would have a handyman at our home on that date. She said we would need a new quote by a third handyman to book the remaining jobs. We took off from work to meet with the third handyman and go over the exact same list which he wrote down. His suggestions were not the same as the first two and he suggested we hire a painter rather than ise them. He did not inspire confidence and his suggestions included telling us it would be cheaper to remove the bath vanity, replace it and the sink and hardware as well as the countertop rather than painting it because his suggestion was cheaper. We definitely did not want him back or doing work in our home and were frustrated to have had to go over our wishlist for a third time. Fast forward to the snowy date when yhe flashing was going to be repaired. We received a cancellation call. By this point six months had gone by since we called for the flashing repair and hanging some curtain rods, checking the ceiling spot and replacing some lights. We were now being told that the inside projects could not be scheduled until after the flashing which couldn't be done until our repairman was available for the amount of time needed on a day when there was no snow. I was so frustrated when I was finally called by Joe who I was told is the manager. This is the first time we have used a handyperson service. I was really anxious about it because of COVID but we had work that could not wait until after winter. My experience with them was great from start to finish. Our initial call got us an appointment in October but then they called back to let me know there was an opening and so we got another closer appointment. Our technician Jason was amazing. He was professional and I felt comfortable having him work in our house during COVID. We talked through everything and then he got to work. Everything we asked for was taken care of or plans were made for future work and we are making plans to call them again for some other projects that we want to do. I have had them at my house at least 4 times and every time they have been courteous, talented in a variety of skills, neat, clean, prompt and very friendly. But this last time was incredible. My shower faucet wasn't putting out much hot water. Adam came & determined the interior was corroded with mineral deposits & parts were broken. He needed to shut down the water to our shower for a few days, but our only shut-off would shut down water to the whole bathroom. My husband is disabled & we NEED that handicapped toilet! Adam put in an extra shut-off so we were able to use the bathroom until the new parts arrived. I could go on, because he did so much more than I could have ever expected. They say they accept quotes through Yelp so I gave them detailed info about what I needed for my rental property and said I needed someone asap. They responded and said they could help but I would need to call in. I called just now and they claimed they have no way to look at the Yelp request, don't know what I'm asking about, and don't have appointments until December. They should not be allowed to say you can request a quote online when all they respond with is a phone number with someone telling you they can't help for 2 months. Edit: The response from the owner is disingenuous. I never requested a quote without an appointment. I was more than happy to schedule an appointment. My complaint is that they allow you to request quotes but don't pass Yelp requests onto their phone representatives. The Yelp request is useless when I can't get any info through it, have to call in anyway, and have to give all the info all over again. read more

Outstanding customer service and workmanship. The repairs were done the same day and the technician left the area immaculate afterwards. The value of having someone come, do the job well, and clean up the area was beyond what we paid. The technician was also polite, professional, and explained what needed done and why. Initially was concerned that we would not be able to find someone to do the job and not charge us a hefty amount. Pink Rose alleviated our concerns. John, the technician, came and evaluated the job to be done, quoted us a fair price, and did the repairs extremely well. Even my wife commented how she's never seen drywall work that exact and nicely done. I would heartily recommend Pink Rose as a company to call if you need a repair job done. Do not hire them. I contracted with them to fix a leaking skylight last October 2019. A guy came out and cleaned around the flashing and window and charged me $500. We talked about a new flashing kit and he said it wasn't needed. Flash forward to a couple weeks ago after first significant snow and cold. The skylight leaked again. I called them and he read off notes that the guy said he repaired the flashing (which he didn't) and since it was over a year they weren't responsible. Asked if it had leaked but there had been no significant snow and it had not been as cold. I now have to pay someone almost 2000 to replace my skylight. Don't hire them. They are way overpriced and want to sell you a yearly contract for other overpriced repairs -which I did sign up for-my mistake on that one- read more

Technician arrived late to both appointments. He was not professionally dressed either time. My real issue comes with the price. It was almost insulting to think I would actually pay what they were quoting. The price was so inflated for the work they were going to perform. I feel bad for people that actually use this company and don't know any better. We called them because friends used them in the past- I was skeptical to begin with. They grossly inflate the price of services and then want you to buy a "membership " so they will reduce the price. That way they will warranty everything and you can use them again throughout the year. Why do you need to be a member? If you love the work they do naturally you would call them time and time again regardless of being a member. We had tiled walls removed, got rid of the blue toilet, had a new tub installed, had a new floor put over the old floor, had it painted, etc. The work was very well done and was done on schedule. They had us pick out the new items (lighting, cabinet, sink, etc.) at the store of our choosing (mostly Lowe's with one thing coming from Home Depot). They did everything from there (including purchasing and delivering the items). The price seemed fair. Do NOT use them! We hired Pink Rose to come and remodel our second floor for what they said would be a 6 day job.  We patiently waited 6 months until they were able to do the job. The first technician that they sent pressured us into paying him early and saying that he would return to finish the work on his own time since the company wanted him to be finished.  When repeated texts went unanswered we called the company. They were more interested in the texts that they employee sent and information on him than the customer and the unfinished upstairs that we had already paid them for. They told us that it would probably be another month before someone came out and that we would hear back from them.  The owner and manager both named Joe both told us this and neither ever reached out to us again.  As the date approached I emailed asking for a confirmation and when we could expect someone as we work and would need to make arrangements so that someone would be heard.  All we got in return was an automated message saying that a technician would be coming but with no exact date and time.  This technician came and had to rip out much of the previous technicians work because it was not done right. This second technician worked for a few days and told us he was finished.  When we went upstairs we were shocked at how bad things were (see video and pictures).  Again we reached out to the company and asked that someone come out to look at it. Joe the owner came out and could not have been any ruder or misogynistic.  He came in my house and proceeded to scream at me and my father, while constantly getting in our faces to yell.  I don't think in the 20 minutes that he was in my house he stopped his yelling. He told us that we weren't inconvenienced by waiting the extra month to have the work redone and that we should just forget it because it is in the past.  He offered me $500 to write a 5 star review.  When I told him that I would not do that he got irate and asked "why isn't your husband handling this?"  When I asked him if he meant because I'm a woman that I shouldn't be involved and he again said it should be that my husband that he should be dealing with. Absolutely disgusted I asked him repeatedly to leave my house.  He proceeded to go downstairs and look through my house for my husband.  Even after knowing that he was no longer welcome in my house he went through all the rooms (in which children were sleeping) and finally found my husband changing the baby. He then proceeded to laugh at him and ask him why he wasn't handling this. Hired them for a powder room remodel. The tile work was not level, trim work corners are rough, and never installed new parts in toilet. So bathroom is still not usable and they are gone. We had a urgent issue, not really an emergency but something I could not live without a day or two . The dryer vent disconnected from the vent outside. It is very hard to get to without special tools etc. I made a contract with them because I was desperate for a handy person I could depend on for last minute things. I had a regular handyman that retired. After that I tried a few new ones. They never call back or show up and were a one man operation when sometimes there was a need for more people. While things might be a little more pricey with this company , I at least can count on them to be there when they say and do what they have to do completely and efficiently. The initial meeting with Ron was fairly professional. We told him what we wanted and our preferred budget cap. He said this was "more than reasonable." He then said he would come back with "cafeteria style" options. Worst case he would have one that fit our budget, one that was ideal, one that was "top of the line." A week later and I am texting him when he is fifteen minutes late. He proceeds to complain about needing to talk to the "girls in the office" about scheduling appointments too close. So, thing is, he scheduled that appointment with us personally. He also told us about the other appointment and that he might be a little late because of it but would let us know if he was. So late with no call and lying to us. His options were just two. One price for the job if they bought the materials. A cheaper price if we did. The cheaper price was 50% increase on our original budget. When I was looking over his numbers, the first thing that jumped out at me is the numbers he gave me didn't add up to the total. When I pointed this out, he told me he felt attacked. Apparently it is inappropriate when dealing with thousands of dollars to point out the numbers don't add up to what he says they do? Further annoyance was that he referred to the homeowner as Mrs. (my last name). When told for the second time that she wasn't my wife, and that my wife was in the next room, he made some comment about just thinking of us as married. The final straw came with the fact that we were going to discuss it and asked him to call us when we returned from vacation. We even got a confirmation email for a call scheduled 8/7 at noon. Needless to say, with no call, we have nearly a month later scheduled with someone else who not only meets our original budget but is doing so with significant upgrades to the initial project. I haven't had enough experience with Pink Rose to pan the company, but I certainly would recommend that if you do call them you ask for someone other than Ron. Also, fair warning: He also gave us a letter from the owner bragging about being members of better contractors bureau with zero complaints. If they try to sell you with that one, research the BCB. Particularly the part that you have to pay them to be allowed to lodge a complaint. read more

We recently asked Pink Rose to fix a roof vent cover that had fallen off.They quoted us a price of $828 + tax. However, if we became members at a cost of $199/year we could get the low price of $675 + tax. We felt that was an insane price, so declined and paid their $29 fee for coming out. We then called a local plumbing company that, while I feel are not cheap, they do good work. Their price was $298 + tax. They show an award received from the Better Contractors Bureau stating that their business stands out over the rest of the industry and they have had no complaints. I wanted to complain, but it costs $15 to do that. I can't attest to the quality of their service or lack thereof, but I pity anyone who pays their price to find out. read more

I recently scheduled an estimate with Pink Rose. I was happy with our initial consult. We scheduled a follow up appointment at which time we would review the estimate (on a big project - full kitchen remodel +). At this appointment I also made an appointment on behalf of a family member for work done in her home. The morning of our follow up appointment I received a call cancelling our appointment and re-scheduling for the following evening. We had to completely re-adjust our schedules to accomodate this change. The family member I made an appointment for was not called --- so she waited at the scheduled time of her appointment and the rep was a no call no show. 2 hours prior to our re-scheduled appointment I received an email from the representative with an estimated amount for our project asking us to contact him if we want to move forward.
