Pinkberry in Garden City is always a fun little treat when I'm in the area. I'm not here all the time, but whenever I find myself nearby, it's usually worth stopping in for some frozen yogurt. I'm a pretty simple person when it comes to places like this and usually stick with the same order, but this last visit I decided to try the cookie butter flavor and it was excellent. The frozen yogurt is consistently fresh, tasty, and hits the spot when you're looking for something sweet without going overboard. The prices are pretty reasonable for what you get, and the portions are satisfying. The biggest thing to keep in mind is timing. Depending on when you go, especially during busier hours, the line can get surprisingly long, so picking the right time can make a big difference. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that the inside could use a little more attention when it comes to cleanliness. Nothing that ruins the experience, but a little extra upkeep would go a long way. Overall, Pinkberry is a reliable stop for a good frozen yogurt treat. Great place for frozen yogurt. They have 8 different flavors of yogurt to choose from. I got the mango one with toppings. Blueberry, kiwis, strawberries, almonds and mixed nuts. The mango flavor was a bit artificial but not bad. They don't do samples anymore so it's hard to find out what flavor to get unless you've had it before. The lady waiting on me was a bit stern. My two stars is for serving size. A medium is 8 oz and I can safely say that every time I come to this location it's probably about 4. I always order half hazelnut and half cookie butter. I get two little blobs with lots of space for the toppings I never get. I don't know why I continue to come here. I do know that there's something about the service that is not good for social distancing. Do you doing something that's dangerous they are looking to get customers in and out so they're asking who's next who's next without properly distancing. That is a big concern to meet the manager should do something about it or I should call corporate. This is no joke. I know that probably like high school kids just doing their part time jobs but that doesn't give a reason for people to still take precautions especially now during a pandemic. I've grown to like Pinkberry. The reasons why I wasn't the biggest fan is that it's not self serve so depending on the worker you'll get different amounts of toppings. Also I don't like how they pick the smallest cups--the toppings are almost always falling off and makes you feel guilty for getting more than 2-3 toppings. However, I do think they have very unique flavors and the toppings are fancier and fresher. Overall I think the ratio ends up being enough, where there's about 1/4 toppings and 3/4 yogurt in a small size. I really like the candied pecans, granola, raspberries, mango, cookie dough bites, and coconut shavings. The cookie butter frozen yogurt is very good, it's almost like a caramel butter scotch blend. The coconut is also very tasty. A classic simple flavor is vanilla beans and goes with any toppings so solid choice. The place is usually packed so they must be doing something right. As long as there isn't a line behind you, take your time, sample the different varieties of the delicious frozen yogurt and choose your toppings carefully. It's amazing how patient and friendly the staff is at this location. They will continue to offer samples even if there is a line behind you. They give the samples in these little paper cups, which is a lot of frozen yogurt! While there are serving suggestions, my friend was able to order a parfait type of cup, while it wasn't on the menu, they knew exactly what she wanted! I am doing that next time. I loved the variety of toppings - I went unhealthy asking for crushed cookies and candy bars on top of mine. It's to make up for the "healthy" part with the yogurt. I love the colors and brightness of the location. It just inspires happiness. There is a varied crowd that visits and I love that...especially for people watching :) The tables are spaced nicely, so you don't feel like you are jammed into small spaces. The only negative aspect of my experience is the very loud dance type of music that was playing when we were there. There are about 7 round tables, 2 high tops, 2nd 4 round tables for outside seating. If you come in a good time you'll be able to grab a table but if not I usually take a stroll through Garden City while I eat my yogurt. I went in today to get my free small yogurt for my birthday through their rewards program. I ordered a small chocolate hazelnut with pineapples, strawberries, kiwi, mangoes, heath bar, and cheesecake bites and it was absolutely delicious. Whoever picked this spot is a genius. Place is always packed! I don't really agree with how this froyo place is run. In places where you weigh out your own cup, you pay exactly for what you have. The workers basically get to decide how much they are going to dispense. 4 out of 5 times there will be a gaping hole under the top swirl, essentially a hollow swirl. They pick and choose who to be nice to, they don't even greet you and they act like you're begging for the yogurt. I come here and I make 6 to 7 orders and I give them tips. If Larry David is a fan then it has to be good, right? I had high hopes for Pinkberry & convinced my whole family to try it. They wish I hadn't & I wish I had my 25 bucks back. Out of my family I was the only one who enjoyed my order. Knowing it was FROZEN YOGURT I tried a sample of their original & their chocolate flavors before making my order. I opted for a medium order of chocolate froyo with peanut butter crunch. It was good, nothing amazing & although it didn't change my life I'd order it again. I can't speak for my family's experience since I believe they were expecting something more along the lines of Dairy Queen or Cold Stone instead of frozen yogurt. They didn't like it at all. The wait wasn't that bad on a Saturday afternoon during the Garden City Arts Festival. I liked the layout of the store especially the minimalist aesthetic. It doesn't seem like they have many options. There are definitely not enough flavors although I think they change them seasonally. The fruit did look delicious & refreshing. There are plenty of combinations to try & they offer recommendations. Bottom line, I'd try it again. If you like frozen yogurt then I don't see how you couldn't like the place. Holy understaffed, Batman! On a nice summer day, the ice cream place that I would typically go to has at very least three or four people in the front to help guests. Here, they only had two. Two people might be appropriate for a place that is self-serve frozen yogurt, but for Pinkberry, it really doesn't work. Today, deployment meant one person (who, incidentally, seemed to be still more or less in training, poor thing!) working the register while the other grabbed tasters, froyo, and toppings for the line of people about fifteen deep. I thought I might've heard one person in the back washing dishes, but either way, management really needs to step up their game in terms of staffing here. I'm giving a one star simply because of the inexcusable portion sizes. Tonight I returned to pinkberry for the first time in several years. I ordered a large with a few toppings and all was well until I dug into my yogurt and found that the majority of space I'm my cop was hollow, and conceiled by the spiral swoop of the soft-serve swirls. It was obvious that that this was intentional as my friends medium yogurt was also drastically underserved. The toppings, tase etc were excellent on both, but for the price we expected them to be full, just the same as it would be at any ice cream establishment. I would have been fine paying more to get an appropriate amount but we took ours to go and didn't realise how sad our servings were until we were already home. We don't plan on going there again and do not recommend it at all unless you enjoy paying more for way WAY less. read more

The ordering system may seem overwhelming and sloppy upon entering, but these folks have a method and a mission: explain it all in 30 seconds, and get patrons their fro-yo concoctions right quick. I went for peanut butter with fresh raspberries - and I mean FRESH - and the minute I took my first bite, I got it. It's soooooooo gooooooooooooood. They're smart, too -you get handed your order and then have to wait in line to pay, so when they ask for $6 for a small cup, you have no choice but to pay it.
