I love me some homemade ice cream. So I was excited to try. They messed up my husbands order and gave him regular coffee instead of the crunch so that was disappointing. Prices were super reasonable! Ice cream was creamier that I normally like but was still good, just not the best.

This location offers homemade ice cream . They are rich in flavor and have fun unique flavors . They are on the pricey side. It is great ice cream though usually a reward for walking the boulevard trail . We stopped in and got our order in before the rush -- completely quiet only ones there . The menu is a lot bigger than before and they offer a couple of specials . The space however is a lot smaller so when the line suddenly went out the door I got a bit anxious . Someone had an oversized backpack and almost took me out when they turned . I ordered the frozen chai which was delicious . The description said it came with whip cream but mine did not . The worker just handed me the drink and left . I felt it wasn't worth grabbing her attention in all the sudden chaos , but for the hefty price was slightly disappointed.

I come to Three Sisters pretty often, as far back as when this business used to be called Maximilians...so 20ish years and counting. I've had many different flavors and the one that stands out the most is the Peanut Butter Heaven! I'm not even a big peanut butter fan, but the flavors aren't very bold, but delicious, sweet and creamy. The staff are very good! They know their products inside and out. This is a small cafe, so I wouldn't plan on doing any work or being there for an extended period of time. It is good for a little tasty treat and get on with the rest of your day/night. -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

I had heard amazing things about their ice cream, and have even tried it in the past, but was especially impressed with their amazing shakes and smoothies! The berry blast smoothie with protein was so tasty and refreshing!! The mango smoothie was to die for, and it was the perfect beverage at the end of my run!! Love this place and can't wait to be back for more!

My husband and I bought two ice creams size medium for $13. The portion sizes were extremely small. I got chocolate sprinkles and I barely got any put on my cone. I know plenty of other places with better service & portions than here!!

Very small servings and the ice cream was very soft-so soft it wouldn't stay on my cone and the girl let some fall in the trash and never gave me another scoop! She just offered to put it in a cup! For a place that has been on my foodie bucket list for quite some time, this was a HUGE disappointment.

    Traditional American breakfast!

On a recent visit to Providence, I met some relatives at Three Sisters for breakfast. What was impressive about Three Sisters was the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the coffee (at least compared to the coffee I bought other mornings at the Gulf station up the street :-). I ordered the traditional eggs, homefries and toast breakfast and asked that the homefries be extra well done. My order and that of my cousin arrived together and it was obvious that neither of our home fries were extra well done. Aside from that, the breakfast tasted as it should. I liked the informalness of the restaurant. Though prices were a little steep, it was worth the price for the relaxed atmosphere and vibe. I will be curious next visit to see how their home made ice cream compares to Brickley's ~ RI's gold standard!

GREAT ICE CREAM & COFFEE IN PROVIDENCE ==================================== I've been to Three Sisters on Blackstone Boulevard twice since January and I love it. My in-laws live nearby and it's nice to walk to or stop by while out and about. We took our son in June and he ordered the affogato. I ordered a latte and the community kulfi almond based ice cream which was amazing. It has cardamom, pistachios and cinnamon. My husband most likely ordered vanilla. I have no idea because I just cared about my own. We will definitely be back whenever in town staying with family.

I had a last minute invite this morning to join a friend's reservation. I have heard great things…read moreabout this place but hadn't had the opportunity to visit yet. So it was an easy yes, to say the least! When I arrived, I walked around the corner to the entrance on Rochambeau. The waiting area inside is bright, colorful, decorated with some personal tokens, assorted cookbooks and accolades. You can just see into the kitchen and suddenly the chef and owner, Milena Pagán will appear over the cafe style doors to greet you and get you checked in for your reservation. Highly recommend a reservation if you plan to come on the weekend. The place was busy! We were taken to our spots at the bar and greeted by Milena's partner, Darcy. He took care of us from start to finish. I could not resist the brunch prie fixe menu for $45. What a steal. An entree, house made pastry, juice/coffee/tea and one of the house cocktails. I chose the shakshouka, a cardamom knot, the guava-pineapple fizz and the rebujito. I also added an iced horchata latte because I was at brunch after all! We had our drinks and pastries in front of us quickly. My juice was refreshing, tangy and just a hint of sweetness. I love guava and this was exactly what I wanted. The latte was simple but effective, hitting the spiced notes you want from horchata with the depth of good espresso to back it up. The latte in particular was delicious with the cardamom knot, the two harmonizing together for a moment of heaven on this rainy Sunday afternoon. The outside of the knot was caramelized in spots adding this great crunch and the inside was soft like a cinnamon bun. My friend mentioned it was one of her favorites and I can see why! When the shakshouka came out, the smell hit me first. Warm tomatoes, the herbs from the chimichurri, and the tostones fresh from the pan. The presentation is beautiful, inviting you to dig in immediately. I of course opted for the smashed avocado upgrade and they thoughtfully plated it on the side. I like to taste everyone together so I added it to my skillet, and began eating the dish using my tostones as my utensil. It was amazing. All those smells I mentioned before played through beautifully in the tasting. It was one of the best dishes I've ever had. My only wish was for more tostones but I know if I had asked for an additional side, they had that as an option to take. I'll make sure to do that next time! The rebujito cocktail was something I hadn't tried before so I was looking forward to it. It felt like the kind of drink you have on a hot summer day. Similar to a mojito, but with good sherry as the base alcohol instead of rum. As a side note, I think it's an incredibly clever to create a cocktail menu around sherry when you have a beer and wine license. Using a fortified wine? Brilliant. But after my experience here today, I know that brilliance is in every brick of that space. If you were like me and haven't made the trip to this spot on the corner of Hope and Rochambeau, please fix that ASAP! I can't wait to go back, and bring all my friends and family here so they can share in what I enjoyed today. Just an incredible meal and service.

However we did end up finishing within the hour - I'm not totally sure how strict they are about that rule. They also have the kitchen right where you wait to get seated, which just added to the hunger and anticipation

food here was good, but also quite expensive. we got the lamb sausage, hashbrowns, deviled eggs,…read moreand biscuit. the lamb sausage was fantastic, the fennel mint and onions paired super nicely with the juicy and fatty sausage. it was a well balanced and unique dish that was totally worth it. hashbrowns were also fantastic, i've never quite had a hash brown with that texture, super crispy but not too oily while maintaining a good salty potato flavor. the deviled eggs were nothing to write home about and the biscuit was solid, i wished there was more jam though. my main complaint here was the service. it took an hour to be seated which we expected, but the tables around us were getting free desserts because of the wait time, yet we weren't offered one. we all arrived at the same time and waited the same time, which rubbed us the wrong way, but didn't mind too much. the main thing that off put me was the 20% service charge at the end, we were not told by the front desk person or our waiter til the very end when we got the check about this. it was also not stated on the menu. for a party of two i was shocked that we were forced into that amount without anyone informing us about it. this should 100% be put on the menu or just told to customers. i don't mind tipping this much but i truly do believe the patron should tip based off of the quality of food and service, rather than being forced into a certain amount without prior knowledge. it's not a deal breaker whatsoever, but id like to be told up front about it this sort of stuff. overall i would totally come back and try some more of their food options, i also now know what to expect price wise. i was a little disappointed on service but the food is worth it.

Loved the atmosphere and the place was spotless. One of the waitresses seated us asked us if we'd like a drink and pickles with coleslaw. We said yes pickles were great. Coleslaw was very vinegary. Was not a fan of that. We both ordered half a pound of pastrami sandwiches with Swiss cheese and mustard. The pastrami was very lean and sliced very thin and that was good. But I found the pastrami lacking in flavor. I think I was expecting pastrami like they sell at Katz's deli or the old now closed Carnegie's in New York. Would come back to try other things.

To be clear, the food isn't bad. It's perfectly edible. The problem is that it's also remarkably average, especially considering the prices they're charging. Nothing I've ordered has made me think, "I can't wait to come back for that." It's just...fine. We actually visited during opening weekend, and it was a bit of a mess. They ran out of pastrami, which is a pretty big problem for a deli that was generating so much excitement. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because opening weekends can be chaotic. Since then, we've been back several times hoping things would improve, but the experience has been largely the same. The biggest issue, aside from the food being average, is the service. It's consistently slow. I can understand waiting when a restaurant is packed, but we've experienced long waits even when there were very few customers inside. It feels like everything moves at half speed, and that's been true on multiple visits. I also think they're trying a little too hard to be Katz's Delicatessen. That's an incredibly high bar, and instead of trying to recreate that experience, I'd rather see them focus on becoming the best version of themselves. Right now, it feels like the ambition exceeds the execution. The one thing I will gladly compliment is the bagels. They've been excellent every time we've ordered them, and honestly, they're probably the strongest item on the menu. I do think there's plenty of room for improvement, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. There's clearly potential here, and I genuinely hope they find their footing because I'd love to have another great deli in the area. We'll probably give them another chance down the road, and I hope I can come back and update this review with a much more positive experience.

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.
