I've been here a couple of times or had their stuff when they were on the bicycle. But haven't had anything recently, I'm never in the area when they are open. I was around the other day and the smell of the cookies baking made me come inside! They have a lot of fun options if you don't have dietary restrictions but still have tasty options for dairy free and wheat free! I had a dairy free Oreo ice cream sandwich! They also had chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla as an option plus sorbet pops! Very tasty.

Valentines special (?): Chocolate macaron with strawberry ice cream? I kinda forget

Im not a huge ice cream sandwich store fan, but I am huge gourmet/unique ice cream fan and tricycle ice cream always has unique flavors/ice cream sandwiches (for their specials and just regular options). They also have ice cream tacos that I've always wanted to try but never have. Mostly because they always have a flavor of ice cream sandwiches that I want! Also the ice cream sandwiches are pretty big so I think the tacos would be MASSIVE. This is a great post-There There dessert that you can eat right after or take home and eat later

This isn't your typical ice cream shop, which was such a pleasant surprise. Everything here is homemade, from the ice cream cookie sandwiches to the sorbet push-up pops and even ice cream tacos. The flavors are just as creative as the treats themselves from ube, Thai tea, and red velvet. The staff was also super friendly, which made the experience even better. The shop is small, but there are a few picnic tables tucked around the side if you want to hang out and enjoy your treat. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for something a little different and a lot delicious. Pro tip- let the ice cream sit for a minute or two before taking a bit... they are really frozen solid.

I jave been to Tricycle 3 times now. I have a solid assessment of this confectionary shop. The smell is overwhelmingly delicious but I haven't quite matched it in flavor. What I have had: - red velvet ice cream sandwich ( red velvet cookies with cake batter ice cream) - pistachio vanilla ice cream sandwich (vanilla cookies with pistachio ice cream) - strawberry push pop When you order the ice cream cookies you have to give them time to soften. Each time the sandwich is OK. My taste buds aren't as jazzed as the smell of the place. I can share the pistachio vanilla barely has any flavor. Why spent $5 for basically nothing? The fruit pops are where its at though! It certainly doesn't match the smell but taste super fresh and packed with fruity flavor. Reminds me of the pospsicles in Puerto Rico. I would highly suggest the push-ups! Pro tip: eat at Pizza J's. Grab dessert at Tricycle and then stop by Moniker Brewery. (You can eat you ice cream there.) Makes for a nice day. All within 2 small blocks of each other.

Finding a parking spot will be difficult if you decide to come here however I got lucky. As soon as a driver took off I took their spot a couple of streets down. I ordered the Ube ice cream sandwich which was good but it didn't taste too much like Ube like how I'm used to. Hubby got the Fruity Pebble taco ice cream which was also good. The thing I didn't like, though is that this place isn't made for dining in. They have tables but it's also at the same spot you stand to order food. There's also no excitement in seeing how they make your ice cream, the cashier just took out both of our ice creams from the freezer and handed them to us. They were wrapped it paper. She also mentioned that they are still frozen and we should wait a couple of minutes before we eat them. And that's a buzz kill too because if I'm getting ice cream I want to dive into it asap. We ended up getting our ice creams and walking back to our cars to eat them. We passed by other customers who were leaning against the building eating them because....no patio seating or enough room inside to eat. Overall: both ice creams were delicious but lack of parking, lack of sit down dining and pre-made ice creams wrapped up in the freezer was a no go for me.

New England is the big leagues when it comes to ice cream. And Tricycle easily belongs among the best offerings. I tried one of their famous ice cream sandwiches and was not disappointed!

I'm SO GLAD I finally had the chance to check out Tricycle Ice Cream! It's dangerously close to my workplace--just a quick hop, skip, and jump away--and it's officially in my regular rotation now. I visited on one of the first warm days of the season with a coworker, eager to try the mouthwatering treats I'd seen online. Let me tell you: they looked just as delicious in person as they did in the photos. Street parking was easy to find in the late afternoon/early evening, which was a nice bonus. Inside, choosing just one treat was the hard part--everything sounded amazing. I eventually settled on an ice cream sandwich with maple walnut ice cream between two blondies. WOW. It was incredible. The ice cream was creamy, the blondies were rich and sugary, and it only barely started to melt by the time I finished the last bite. My coworker opted for a matcha ice cream sandwich with vanilla/orange shortbread cookies--another standout. The menu changes, but I was really impressed by the range of flavors. Whether you're in the mood for something classic or want to try something a little different, there's something for everyone. On our visit, flavors included vanilla, mint chocolate chip, chocolate, Thai tea, peanut butter, Fruity Pebbles, Oreo, strawberry, matcha, passionfruit, pistachio, horchata, coffee, ube, red velvet, banana pudding, and sweet cream. In addition to sandwiches (including some specialty options), they offer cones, ice cream tacos, and sorbet push pops. Everything comes pre-made and wrapped in simple white paper with a cute Tricycle Ice Cream sticker and red-and-white twine--adorable presentation. The shop itself is cozy and welcoming, with bar seating inside and picnic tables out back. Inside, you're surrounded by a cheerful tangle of plants along the windows. There was a steady stream of customers, but it never felt crowded. The staff were warm and friendly, answering our questions and making us feel right at home. Can't wait for my next visit!

We went the wrong way but we still managed to drop by 2 minutes before closing and the staff still welcomed us in--kind of them and very appreciated! The space has limited seating, but that didn't matter for us and I'm sure most customers grab-and-go. What stood out right away was the variety of premium, creative flavors: Kyoto Matcha, Brazilian Passionfruit, Thai Tea, and Callebaut Chocolate, just to name a few. Everything tasted authentic, not overly sweet, and thoughtfully made. We checked out flavor descriptions and photos on their iPad before ordering, which was helpful since the menu has a lot of descriptive, loopy text. They offer ice cream sandwiches ($5.50), specialty ones ($6.50), and seasonal options, plus other fun treats like ice cream tacos ($8), drumsticks ($8), and sorbet push pops ($4). We went for: - Pistachio on Vanilla Cookies - creamy, rich, and nutty. Loved the natural flavor. - Ube on Toasted Coconut Cookies - nice deep purple color, but a bit underwhelming in taste - Oreo Cookies & Cream on Salted Caramel Drizzled Chocolate Cookies - rich and decadent. The ice cream sandwiches are frozen solid, so we were instructed to wait 10-15 minutes for them to thaw a bit. The shortbread cookies were harder than I expected, and they don't offer many soft options. But this is good because it doesn't get messy and stick to your fingers. And it highlights the ice cream flavor and creaminess better. The staff was friendly and shared the backstory behind the Tricycle name, though there was a bit of unwarranted shade when they found out we're also from SoCal, but OC not SD (where she's from). Also, I feel like I must point out the Aesop hand sanitizer--random but delightful touch. Doesn't scream bougie in here, but that detail made me do a double take.

Tricycle Ice Cream in Providence might just be the place that proves ice cream isn't only for sunny days. Even with the arctic chill, I couldn't resist stopping by while I was in town--and it was worth it! I had the Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Nilla Wafers sandwiched between two Peanut Butter Cookies, dipped in Callebaut Chocolate, and topped with roasted peanuts. Probably the best ice cream sandwich I've ever had, and I don't say that lightly. These folks don't just make ice cream; they create art. Have you seen their IG page? And everything tastes just as good! From cones and tacos to creative ice cream sandwiches, everything feels like a special treat. They also have specials (though they'd sold out by the time I arrived--and I hear they're super fun and creative seasonal flavors). Next time, I've got my eye on the horchata sandwich. If you're in Providence, do yourself a favor and stop by Tricycle. Rain, shine, or snow, this place is 100% worth the trip. Ice cream cravings don't care about the weather, and neither do I!

As soon as we opened the door of this corner shop, the aroma of fresh cookies greeted us. The friendly staff explained the menu to us. There are many options for ice sandwiches and ice cream tacos. Very creamy and delicious!

Tricycle Ice Cream is awesome! They have so many good flavors -- creamy, rich, and super tasty. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. A great local spot for anyone who loves ice cream!

Crazy part is…read morethat not only is it on wheels as a food truck, it's a MUCH bigger than the usual food truck you're accustomed to. Having been around this long and operating at crazy hours that obviously cater to late night crawlers and drunken fools, you must have built some solid grit to be a dedicated feeding hole around a university/college town. The staff greeted me fondly as I walked through the door. If you've never seen this on TV or online before, you wouldn't have imagined a diner within a truck designed that way. You wouldn't have been able to tell the difference from them vs a small restaurant in a city. TV, lights, posters and everything anything restaurant that you expect was there...except for the chairs this particular night. I'm guessing they removed it to better handle crowds coming through...after all, too many people dining there, lining up, and trying to order food is a classic fire hazard 101 within such a small space. I am glad to have a chance to visit this time around. I've been wanting to try it for the longest time since seeing it on Man vs Food. However, I don't know why but I just wasn't craving a burger in the moment. Maybe if I did order the burger, this would have ended up as a 5-star review based on how most people rave about it. But for now, I'll glad to still say that I'm a true fan. The Haven Dog with celery salt was simple and a quick fixer-upper for anyone slightly hungry in the moment. The steak and cheese sandwich, however, is a loaded mother-f-fer with a LOT of sliced beef atop a TINY bun with some shrooms and peppers. All I could think about as I unwrapped it was someone trying a skinny jeans three sizes down, lol. Check them out!
