Service: there was no line when we arrived but about 10 people when we left. We were promptly invited to look at the chalkboards (or an ipad) for a menu. No taste testing as they are all sandwiches/tacos pre-made. Friendly and prompt service. Ice cream: wow, a 10/10! As recommended, we patiently waited 5min for it to thaw to the perfect texture. We tried the Ube with coconut, Banana pudding with peanut butter, and Red Velvet with chocolate... worth every penny of the $5.50/$6.50! I've been dying to try this ice cream shop ever since hearing that they offer the rare Ube flavor of ice cream - one of my favorites and so hard to find! They were finally open on a Wednesday when I was in the area - really appreciating their new extended summer hours - so some friends and I walked over. This is located in an easily walkable part of the city where street parking is pretty doable, so it's a great stop to work in to a friend hang or date night since it's near breweries and restaurants. I had my heart set on the Ube, but the other flavors were awfully tempting - I'm dying to come back for the Fruity Pebbles taco and/or ice cream sandwich ASAP! I ordered the Ube ice cream sandwich, which came on coconut cookies, was dipped in white chocolate, and covered with coconut flakes, for $6.50. The ice cream color was bright purple as Ube often is, and the cookies were soft and perfectly melt in your mouth despite being frozen. I was advised by the owner to let it sit for a few minutes before eating as they start out very cold. I could only stand to wait a few minutes before diving in, which ended up being a fine amount of time. The flavors were decadent, the Ube was so sweet and indulgent, like an extreme vanilla as I always describe it, but with a root/woodsy note to it that's hard to explain. I was totally in heaven while eating this! My friends loved their options: Thai iced tea sandwich, Fruity Pebbles sandwich, and Banana sandwich. The pistachio sandwich was reportedly a little too mild for some tastes. My friend got their limited edition ** corn and blueberry!!** flavor sandwich - WHAT!? So unique! I had to steal a bite and was pleasantly surprised - I didn't get blueberry in my bite, but it was like frozen corn chowder - not savory, but still a distinctly 'corn' flavor, not corn flakes, but true, actual, corn. Found this gem when I was poking around on Yelp. The location is on an unsuspecting corner in a neighborhood - luckily I found parking right across from the store. The store was quiet when I arrived. Service was fast and friendly. They have lots to choose from on their menu. I wanted to try so many things but because I was driving back to Boston and wasn't sure whether it would totally melt, I tried an ice cream sandwich. For myself I chose the banana pudding and for my hubby, the mint n chip. They double-bagged them and I put them on the floor in front of the floor AC and turned that baby on full blast. To my surprise, they were completely in tact when I arrived home. Yes, I was freezing the whole ride back given it was 51 degrees and rainy. Anyways onto the ice cream sammies - my hubby loved his. Fast, casual, eccentric, ready-to-go sweet treats that you'll want to eat before your feet hit the street. My wife and I shared their Bananas Foster Ice Cream Sandwich, Fruity Pebble Taco, and Passion Fruit Drumstick which was waaaaay too much for two people. About twice as much as either of us wanted and expected. If we were staying nearby and had a freezer then it wouldn't have been a problem but we were stopping by on our way to our hotel in Newport. That being said, still happy we tried all three. They were all good and no one in particular stood out amongst the rest. read more

The minute you walk through the door you're hit with the incredible aroma of chocolate and cookies. Every combination is unique from their standard menu to their weekly specials - and because it's so hard to choose their amazing staff/owners never rush you - they know the dilemma! Last night I couldn't resist the special chocolate pb cup macaron sandwich (creamy peanut butter ice cream with chunks of chocolate peanut butter cup pieces & peanut butter cookies on chocolate macaron shells, garnished with chocolate & roasted peanuts). The chew chocolate macarons just make it that much more decadent. We live about 30 minutes from Providence, which is perfect, because the sandwiches are frozen so hard by the time we get home it's the perfect consistency to eat them! read more
