I frequently frequented Pink Box in Las Vegas and would be remiss if I didn't take the opportunity to compare this brand new location in Sandy to the Vegas/Henderson locations. First impressions... Wow! Bigger than the Nevada spots. More modern, very colorful and very clean. The landscapers were hard at work when I arrived and they were spaying for pests too. You walk in to a genuine happy greeting welcoming you to this cool donut shop. Looking around its PINK interior just shouts enthusiasm and pride. The place is spotless... there is a separate space for the kids play with, yep, a Photo Booth. Izzy was the young lady helping me today. Super polite and helpful. Never made me feel rush as I wanted to know everything about every option. This spot was opened August 15 this year and she mentioned how she loves working here. I got the OG, a glazed donut. A bacon maple bar, a cinnamon roll and a devils food chocolate cake donut. All have specific names and descriptions but I only remembered the OG. They also have an espresso machine. Yes I got a dry cappuccino. Izzy had not heard of this kind of d of coffee but after explaining she successfully gave me the perfect dry cappuccino (just foam with espresso). Lots of Baristas fail it not Izzy. Thank you. Great hire. Also, while steaming the milk a coworker said goodbye and you can tell the culture here appears to be a good place to work. read more

What a fun & yummy doughnut store . They have such a good selection of unique & yummy flavors . We had a hard time choosing what to get. We got the cherry bomb it was a glaze donut filled with cherry filling with a cinnamon & whip frosting with a cherry on top . This was delicious . We also got the snickers. This tasted just like a snicker bar . We got the old fashion buttermilk bar this was good too . We got the pinky which was a white cake doughnut filled with buttercream frosting & frosted with pink frosting . The buttercream frosting is so good . We loved how everything was pink in the store. The arcade looked fun . The workers were helpful & nice. We can't wait to go back again. The prices are good for a specialty doughnut. read more

I was craving a chocolate donut and remembered pink box opened up around the corner. First I will say... pink and bright! I was so stunned at all the lights and pinkness that when I went through the drive-thru the nice and lovely lady taking my payment heard me say " very pink" lol She offered my golden retriever a pup cup and she approved! I really liked the peace donut! Very moist and fluffy! The pooh was right up my chocolate ally! It was a chocolate donut topped with a whipped chocolate frosting! Wow I was absolutely floored stepping into this place, actually even just in the parking lot! The pink motif goes hard from the curb in the parking lot to the building's pipes outside! The space inside was clean and inviting with lots of over-the-top decadent decor. At like 10pm they still had a full lineup of donuts in the casing for almost every flavor card, and even more surprising, they all looked fresh, AND there were still tons more being made in the kitchen. Service was top-tier. The cashier was friendly, patient, funny, and really made the whole experience. We ended up trying four donuts and now I wish we had gotten more! Pink. Pink everywhere. Pink overload and I mean overload. Top to bottom, wall to wall, countertops, tables. display cases--everything. So if you have an aversion to pink DO NOT COME HERE! So here's my disclaimer: I like just regular donuts. I don't like pile on gobbledy gook on top of donuts. To their credit, they have both traditional donuts along with the overblown ones. And some of them are quite interesting. I had the Blow Torch described as crème brûlée filling. It had a caramelized sugar top and a basic custard filling. It was OK, but just that. It was around $2.89 or so. That's an expensive donut. The only thing different between it and a Bismark was the topping with the Bismark having a chocolate topping. I also had the OG, a regular raised glazed donut, for baseline tasting. It was OK. A decent donut at 4 out of 5 stars. It was pricey for a glazed donut, though. So it had to be around $2.00 or just under. One last comment on the donuts--the are good, but not as outstanding as the gold standard of Fresh Donut & Deli in Salt Lake City. And the prices are high. This has a large, high-ceiling room with arcade games. I can't remember what they call it. This room had the only place where you could sit down and that was two picnic tables, pink of course! Plenty of merch that you can buy in the store. Bottom line: You are paying for the atmosphere, which is kinda fun, but you have to be OK with pink. I think kids would like it, even teens. The donuts themselves are a 4 of 5, pretty good. I'm not going to return, though. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Ok aka Lad Vegas popular donuts!!! So we had to try the just opened Pinkbox in Dandy, Utah! The folks here are very helpful and friendly- we came mid-day Sunday and lots of families piling in to get their sugar fix. With so many choices we decided on a mix dozen. Maple bar a big stand out Basic sugar donut - suga daddy - very good Apple fritter - good Butter milk bar - excellent Have a snickers- fancy and sweet Plain o twist - great donut Raspberry squeeze - really good All the donuts we got were very creative and tasty. Someone brought in doughnuts, so I have no idea about the actual store or employees. I had the brownie batter doughnut and my expectations were LOW. Seems gimmicky but this was actually a very delicious, but very rich and sweet doughnut. And it was free and brought right to my desk, so zero complaints. read more

I happen to be in Sandy, Utah visiting some friends and, wouldn't you know it... there's a Pinkbox Doughnuts nearby! I'm old school, so I had to go with my favorite--the Triple OG Chocolate. But since we were heading over to a friend's house that morning, we grabbed a couple dozen to share. We loaded up on Glazed, Suga Daddy, Brown Suga, a few Ol' Fashioned, and of course the Pink Rainbow Ring and Blue Rainbow Ring for a little pop of delicious color. The shop was absolutely spotless, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. If you're anywhere near Sandy, do yourself a favor and stop in. Once is enough! Fun theme. Doughnuts are unique and pretty good. I'm more of a plain doughnut person, and I'd rate their glazed a 6 out of ten. Upon walking in on a Sunday morning, the floor was so sticky you could hear others' shoes lift off the ground, not to mention feeling your own stick. We ordered 3 donuts and coffee. The staff was stumped about how to make drip coffee. It's 9 a.m. Am I the only person ordering coffee? Took me 10 minutes to get a very below-average cup. As I said earlier, go once; it's cute, but the theme doesn't make up for an unclean store, a good-but-not-great donut, and the inability to make a cup of coffee. read more

3 1/2 stars Fun eye catching whimsical establishment. Like something you would see on the board game Candyland. For as busy as it was the drive thru went fairly fast. However, it was 5:00pm in the evening. The taste- well, beats Dunkin and Dunford by a landslide. Lots of variety. Utah, the land of cookies stores, ice cream, cupcakes, dirty sodas, gas station pink cookies and now Pinkbox. The donuts are a variety of elaborate decorated creations. Sprinkles, flavors, colors, mountains of icing in every shape and size. Too many choices. For me, I judge quality by its most basic donut. The plain glazed. Not bad. More donut than a Krispy Kreme. The latter are much smaller, but I still think KK wins the glazed flavor and dough texture. Pinkbox, is a close second, 1 donut can fill you up, where Krispy Kreme you snarf down 2 without blinking. The price for Dozen mixed is $21.48. KK is $19.49. Before any discounts, if they offer any. It seems like Krispy Kreme will often run a BOGO dozens. Today Pinkbox had $4 off a dozen of any kind of donut. It still cost $18.01 with $4 discount. FYI, 7 Eleven sells a regular glazed donut (dunford) for $1.00 with the their app. Dunkin sells their regular glazed for $1.99. My choice, it's worth trying but almost too sweet. You know after Christmas, if I see one more sweet thing when they roll in the office from Halloween to New Years, the smell of pumpkin, chocolate, fudge, etc.. makes you want want to run away. Buy a few PINKY and share the different ones with each other. But, it's a once and awhile treat. So, stay on your GLP1. read more

My son and I have been driving by this place since before it opened, and we finally decided to go today as a treat following a tough dentist appointment -- ironic, I know. But what better way to cheer up a kid than to go to a donut shop with a cute arcade? We started over in the arcade, where he wanted to win a Pooh plush. I bought a card and loaded it with $25 worth of credits - what I believed would be way more than we'd need to win one. Ten tries later, many of which picked one up, then PLOP! Dropped it. Picked it up, dropped it. So $25 down, I had a kid on the verge of tears who didn't even want a donut anymore! We perhaps should have walked out right then and there, but I urged him to go pick out a donut anyway, that he'd be glad to have a treat after the challenging morning. So we wandered over to the donut display, which I have to say was really impressive -- so many flavors to choose from to satisfy any craving. That's when I saw them: both the Pinky and Pooh plushies, boxed up nicely and on sale for just $20 at the register. By then I had to get one for my son, but for real I felt slightly duped that I could have bought one, yet was over there trying to win one. So $50 later, we left with a donut and a Pooh plush I could've just bought. And maybe that's my own fault for not seeing them sitting there, for sale, as I know those dumb crane machines to be rigged so they'll pick things up, then wiggle just enough to drop them short of the clear box & chute. This was super frustrating!!! So I wanted to warn others who don't want to leave so amazingly frustrated -- save your money, luck won't help, the crane machines will most likely not be on your side unless they're piled high and you can knock one in there. If your kid wants one, just drop the $20 and save your frustration for something else besides a donut shop. read more

I feel much safer about their product and may attempt to go back once kinks have been ironed out. Original post: The staff and environment was great! It smelled amazing and the doughnuts looked delectable! My kid was SO excited to try this since we've driven past for the last year or so. We got to the point to order and asked, since we saw Snickers and PB&J doughnuts, if it was safe for a nut allergy. The employee was really great and let us know that they occasionally swap gloves between orders and there's ZERO safety precautions with cross contamination. He advised that we could try the American Fork location since they're geared towards gluten free but still said that it's unlikely to have a peanut free item there as well. Kind of a bummer. But...eh... there's other local, non chain bakeries that are more safe. read more

Pinkbox in America Fork and St. George has a few Vegan options, the one in Sandy doesn't & said they won't be making them. Even though it was rumored and someone on there web said they did. You would be surprised that there are several people that would buy them. I don't plan on going back because of this and I'm not the only one.
