Things were getting shaky as to whether we were going to close on our home on time and we felt like our home deal might fall through if our closing got delayed. I contacted the company vice president John Farrell and things started flying faster than could ever have been expected by my wife and I. After a few whirlwind days we ended up closing on time and are very excited to be moving into our dream home. I'm glad I took a chance and called the main # in Fort Worth. Pat took all the info over the phone, locked in my rate that day, had the papers sent to my home that week. She set up the closing at the nearest Colonial location to my office, where Susan Mills (the title agent) did a great job of completing all the paperwork with me over my lunch hour. The entire process, from the first phone call to the closing, took 24 days. Everything went so smoothly, and I attribute that to Pat's expertise and knowledge. I have been through several home mortgages and refinances with other properties in the past, and this was the absolute best experience I have had to date. Most of the time we use a branch closer to our home but this branch is convenient if you have errands to run in the 377 area in Watauga. After getting a little money, I was headed out the door when a gentleman (Cergio) asked if I was interested in saving money on my Chevy's loan. I told him my Chevy was paid for but we bought a new Cadillac a few months prior and I had been trying to get that loan over to EECU with zero luck. In fact, I had been told they were 90+ days behind and were not working to refinance loans very much. I was shocked when the people at our home branch had told me this. All previous experiences with EECU had been great in terms of incentive, speed, service, etc.... I had always found everyone very helpful and responsive so this lagging lengthy display was a new experience. I asked Cergio if he was serious and if he could get the loan switched over within a few weeks. He told me he felt that was exactly what he would do. I spent few minutes getting him our details, exchanging emails and phone numbers and off I went curious as to how this would progress. I had applied four months prior at our branch but was told they could t help us for months. Within 2-3 weeks, Cergio got our loan refinanced, saved us some money with a lower rate and had the loan closed. He even assisted in getting our insurance certificate over to the right people at EECU. Thank you Cergio and Watauga EECU!
