I really like the Medspa staff and I will continue to go there (because I have a phone number to get straight through); however, I am DONE with the dermatology side of Pinnacle Dermatology!!!!! They switched to what appears to be an AI call center out of state to answer there phones and it is HORRIBLE!!! You can't trust company website reviews anymore because its rigged. My first visit here is my last. One the doctor did a biopsy with anesthesia and without waiting cut into me. Yes I felt it. I thought it was another shot but hurt a lot more. But I told her to finish. Secondly, she asked if I wanted any bumps removed I said no and she assured me it was without cost. So I did it. Less than a month later and before my insurance paid for the visit, I got a $200 bill for that removal. I'm not going to pay it! Doctors are now slam charging people. You better pay attention to what you're getting billed anymore. They take advantage of patients that will pay it and don't know it or know any better! Watch out for franchised practices they are out to take your money at all cost. I've dealt with others before like this and it's a fast in fast out and have bogus charges with unnecessary treatment. I CAN NOT GET A REFILL FOR MY PRESCRIPTION. I have tried calling several times already and The " nurse" won't answer calls for it . After 5+ times of trying to call them. i was left a voice message saying I haven't been seen in a year. No! I was there only few months ago and my next regular appointment was already scheduled. Then I tried calling to Cancel my appointment for next month (that the doctor scheduled for me) and the lady on scheduling said I needed to attend my appointment before I can get my prescription. On Jan.24 i had a appointment with Pinnacle and never been treated so bad as i was there and prescribed medication that they didn't pre approve so when i went to the Pharmacy they could not give me the medicine so i tried to call several times and text several times and not one did call, i dont know what there problem is about calling the people back that helps pay there bills, would not recommend them to anyone, and still waiting for my phone call. I was referred to this practice by my primary care provider for an annual skin check. I had been traveling just prior to my appointment and had some bed bug bites on my appointment day. The NP Inman said they weren't bites and prescribed a cream and a return visit. On the second visit, the bites were still there, and she performed an unnecessary biopsy. The biopsy was negative, and I incurred hundreds of dollars in expenses. Never did I receive my skin check. She insisted that they were not bites, but my skin cleared after my bedroom was treated. I can't imagine that a dermatologist cannot diagnose bed bug bites in this era of technology. read more

So my primary care referred me to this practice for an issue I wanted checked out. I eventually got an appointment which was great. On day of appointment, about time I was to leave, I looked at my phone and realized they sent me a lengthy intake form to complete but they managed to send to just my cell phone and not my email. I quickly complete the document, printed it off and ran off my office to theirs but 10 mins late. I wait patiently for front desk staff to take care of client before me. I get in, and briefly greeted the woman at front desk and then informed her I had a 12:30 appointment with some Dr. Natasha Hansen that I am now unlikely to ever meet. This woman immediately switches to law enforcement mode and tactlessly informed me that "You are late, we will have to reschedule". I am also a very busy person, so this information in and of itself was not my problem. Her tone, total lack of tact and clear inability to engage in responsive communication was pathetic. I couldn't help but notice the shift in demeanor from this woman serving the middle aged white woman in front of me to myself. I don't know what this woman's heart was but I am also maxed out by getting this kind of treatment when I walk into a medical facility. Did she look at me and make all forms of assumption of my relative worth in this setting? Because she was brash and dismissive and I in the two minutes or so she responded to client in front of me, my 8 mins late had become about 10 mins late, I then asked her whether I was guaranteed service at exactly 12:30pm? She mumbled something I was rather uninterested in hearing at that point. I try hard to self-regulate my emotions at being accosted this way and ultimately declined her half-baked attempt at trying to reschedule me. I just have no intention of being insulted this way when I am coming into a practice where I will be paying for service provided. For me, there is no upside to getting past being insulted this way to trusting whoever is in this office to care for my needs. So, if you don't check all the demographic boxes for being given the benefit of the doubt, you might not want to waste your time here. Very difficult to obtain refills. I understand things happen but I have been forced to go without medication until the following week or two on multiple occasions. Very stressful and creates health side effects unnecessarily. The office staff do not seem empathetic when explaining why you cant be without your medication. Basically... good luck! read more

Ugh! If I could give this place a 0 star I would. I was mis diagnosed by Sarah Gawronski (PA) with with frontal fibrosing alopecia. She did not even touch my head or put me in the exam chair. Very unprofessional!!! I sought out another dermatologist office for a second opinion and with a biopsy it was confirmed that I DID NOT in fact have what Sarah diagnosed me with. I would give 0 stars if I could. I started going to Doctors Approach 4 years ago and my experience was incredible. In that time they have been folded into another dermatology group called Pinnacle Dermatology and have gone extremely down hill. The office staff is rude and unresponsive, the most difficult part about working with this office is getting anyone on the phone. And if you are fortunate enough to get connected you would be lucky not to be the 15th caller to a Chicago call center instead of someone at the actual office. In a time of Covid-19 they failed to tell me in the 6-7 week span in between making my appointment and my actual appointment that their office had reopened and that online visits were now in person. Horrible, horrible, horrible service honestly glad that I'm moving so I have to find a new dermatology practice. read more

I saw PA Adam Gomoll at Pinnacle Dermatology. He started my first appointment off by insulting my appearance saying I looked like I was just starting my day. He then did not listen to my concerns regarding my skin and was quick to push medications on me that I had expressed hadn't worked in the past. When I let him know what regime I believed would work best for me as I knew my body best he suggested I did not know it as well as him because he has "being doing so for 20 years". It is important for a medical physician to take a patients concerns into account fully instead of pushing pills and thinking they know everything without hearing the patient. If you suffer from acne I suggest seeing someone else because at the end of the day he will leave you more insecure and playing a waiting game to see changes-only for them to never come. read more

My experience at the Okemos, MI location of Pinnacle was very disappointing. I was there with my daughter who was having issues, and our appointment was so rushed that we forgot to ask a few of our questions. When we exited, I remembered the questions, and asked to go back and see the doctor again (the waiting room was empty). The receptionist questioned me, and when I explained that I had forgotten because we were rushed, she told me that "no, you were not rushed." I'm not sure how she would be able to determine that. They did allow us to go back, but when then bill came through, we were charged for 30-40 minutes of time with a doctor (which means it was higher than a normal visit of 20-30 minutes). In TOTAL we were with the doctor for less that 10 minutes. We were charged hundreds of dollars for less than 10 minutes of rushed service, and the receptionist was rude. A very disappointing experience. read more
