The staff has always been very professional to me. Very fast check-in. Go back to the internal waiting room for just a few minutes (often go straight to a chair for the bloodletting). They take my blood. And I go. In 5-6 years coming here I've never had any issues. Calling there beforehand to ensure that they've received my doctor's lab prescription (when I feel it is necessary) does entail a good 10-15 minutes of navigating their menus and being on hold, but when they do pop on the line they are friendly and fast. And I always get our results online via their portal within 3 working days at the most, and usually sooner. Really glad we live near this location.

This location is…read moreconveniently located inside of the Columbia Medical Center neat Howard County General Hospital. There is always plenty of parking at the building. They take walk ins but I highly recommend making an appointment so you won't have to wait. I have an online account so made my appointment there. The check in process is done on a tablet right by the front counter. All you have to do is put your phone number in then scan your drivers license and insurance card. After checking in I only had to wait two minutes then I was taken into the back to have my blood drawn, the phlebotomist was professional and friendly. She completed the process painlessly. The whole time I spent in the office was less than 10 minutes. Great experience that's why I will continue to come back.

We were finally called to a room where we waited for an additional 15 minutes and three different people came into our room checked our paperwork and then left. It seemed like hot potato because no one wanted to work with our kiddo. Finally a woman named Shaniquia (unsure of the spelling) came in and she was nice enough but the actual stick went horribly wrong. She didn't really prep my kid before sticking him and it scared him to death and he wiggled and blood went absolutely everywhere. Specifically, I have observed that while generally a skilled phlebotomist, Andrea's patient check-in demeanor has been negative. On one occasion, patients waited for 25 minutes, leading one to leave.My attempt to address this with Regional Director Nicole Gray was not productive. Andrea returned from the back with her supervisor on speakerphone and, seemingly unfazed by the situation, exhibited unprofessional and rude behavior, including a dismissive verbalization of "I Don't Care!!!". This type of response is unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting.I am also troubled by the handling of previous issues. I was informed that Nadine, who consistently demonstrated politeness, professionalism, and courtesy, was to receive an award. However, she was removed from this location and, to my knowledge, did not receive the promised recognition.Furthermore, my attempts to contact corporate have gone unanswered for several weeks. A separate, serious concern involves unsanitary practices at the LabCorp Catonsville location, where phlebotomists' extremely long hair extensions are allowed to come into contact with patients' arms.To resolve these issues, I propose the following:Immediate attention to Andrea's patient interaction skills, including training and clear expectations for professional conduct.Clarification regarding Nadine's departure and the status of her promised award.A prompt response from corporate regarding my previous communication.A review of hygiene protocols at the LabCorp Catonsville location, with immediate correction of the hair-related issue. The wait was the ONLY good thing about this location. There is an older black lady at the front desk who is just mean. No people skills what so ever! I answered her questions cordially, as she continued to bark more orders. She didn't even look up to speak with me. Probably the worst customer service experience I have even had! The phlebotomist, however; was a gem! She poked me once and I didn't even feel the pain I typically feel when giving blood! I hope she finds a new job, because the Labcorp location is horrible and no place for someone like her who truly loves what she does!

I had to take my mom here because when we went to another well known laboratory to have her tests done from a written script from the doctor, the lab didn't complete / do all of the tests requested. That was not good as it's already like fighting a hungry bear to get my mom to go get anything medical done, so when I was told this Quest Diagnostics lab location was in the same building as the doctor's office, it was a god send because I could kill two birds w/ one stone while visiting the doctor. This way, my mom wouldn't be as upset about having to go to two locations, again. In addition, the lab technician @ this Quest Diagnostics location was super nice and patient with my mom (who at this point was especially cantankerous because she had been fasting in order to do her labs). Unlike the other lab who didn't do the tests as requested, Chanel (I believe that was her name) from Quest Diagnostics at this location was really nice and ensured she had all of the vials verified for submission and everything was completed. At this time, Chanel was taking walk-ins. I don't know if that was because we came from an office in the same medical building and can't say if this will be ongoing as the location gets more established, but it was very helpful.
