I don't know what happen to this eye doctors office I guess acquired by Me Eye Doctor but they were great a year ago and now no calls to tell you your glasses are ready, machine can't cut the lenses, ordered the wrong contact brand for my wife she had to go else where for the ones she wears. 700 for lenses to existing frames I have had to go back and ship them our again cut and don't fit in the frames properly. It's not just follow up or customer service it's just bad business when they were so good last year. I have been a patient and customer at this clinic for 3 years, and I like Dr. Alfieri a lot, and received good service from the associates. BUT... - and it is a huge BUT - when I called to make my annual visit appointment in April of this year, and inquired about COVID precautions, I was told that the only precaution is that masks are "recommended" but not required for patients. This is irresponsible and reckless, and I could not believe that a MEDICAL facility where close contact to the eyes, nose and mouth is their business would, after over 1 year of a pandemic, be so tone-deaf. I guess they are catering to the science deniers and don't want to lose the customers who don't believe in masks. I have since had a visit at Eye Site in Allen and I was very impressed with their risk management practices: only one patient in at a time, doors locked until you call, temperature screening at the entrance, double masking from the associates, mandatory masks for the patients, protective screens at every risk area, hand sanitizing required at every step. Stay away from this place. Do your homework before scheduling an appointment, they overcharge and try the up sell,hard sell products and services. I will never go back. I was able to find exact frames at competitors for half the price they quoted. "I'll have to check with the lab" when trying to sell you new items. When you ask to use existing frames or sunglasses the immediate answer is no. They have a lot to learn about customer service. Again, I will never go back. read more

We have used them 3-4 times now. Never happy with the experience. Office is very nice, people are ok. There is always some issue with the insurance coverage and they never really explain it well. And my daughter always complains that she still can't see, after new contacts and glasses. read more

Pinnacle was sold and Dr Affieri is no longer there. i trusted her with my eye since I moved to Texas 9 years ago. She was very knowledgeable and had a great staff. I'm not so comfortable go to the company that took over. Definitely not as professional as when Dr Affieri was owner. read more

Did not have a good experience at this place, specifically with Angelina but also the front desk staff did not disclose up front "option B and C" eye exam are not covered by insurance. We were ready to purchase Lindbergh frames with progressives lenses today ($780+ after insurance), and two others in our family need $360 lenses plus frames. There are too many eye glass places in this city to not be easy and upfront with customers. If you want to know more, feel free to send a message. I have been going to this office for years, and every time I leave, I am amazed at the fantastic customer service I received. I don't think I have ever had one negative thought about my visits there. The office is set up well, clean, and comfortable. The entire staff is courteous, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. The actual eye exams are very thorough and well done. From check in to check out. The technology Dr. Alfieri has enables her and the staff to give the best exam possible. However, even with all the best technology and procedures, it would all mean very little, if Dr. Alfieri wasn't a good doctor. Her "bedside manner," knowledge, and training (including training of her staff, which is excellent) make me confidant that my eyes are in good hands. The frame styles and various options, including the lens options that she has available are very good. The glasses I have purchased there are always great, and look great too. (I went somewhere else a couple years ago, to save some money, and immediately discovered the mistake that I had made with that choice, when I got those glasses.) This latest pair is the best yet, and includes technology (called Neurolens) that helps my eyes and brain work together better when looking at the computer. This has lessened headaches, shoulder and neck soreness and tension. Really amazing, actually. They work with insurance really well. The cost of the frames is higher than discount type places, but it is SO worth it. You get what you pay for. And more. Some things are worth paying more for, and my eyes certainly would be one of those items. One last thing, even if there is a problem, they bend over backwards to help solve it. My glasses were delayed from the lab (wasn't even their fault), but the gave me a significant discount towards a prescription pair of Oakley sunglasses. They kept me informed what the delay was and when I would get them back. Fantastic problem solving. So, excellent experience, great product and service. I will never go anywhere else. It is so nice to go somewhere and have the experience you expected (and better) and to be treated very professionally, and still very personal and friendly. 5 STARS Plus read more

I love the people that work here. They are thorough, quick with the exam. They have all the latest technology and explain in excellent detail any questions or concerns you may have. I love the technicians because they are so friendly and love getting to know you. The only thing I don't really like is the amount of time it takes for the doctors to get in the room. The last few years her office "merged" with a larger company's and it seems things thing have slowly hone downhill. Today, I learned he is no longer there. So, I'll be looking for a new eye dr. I enjoy each and every visit that I make to this office. The staff is not only exceptional, but I see the same faces each time. This means that the turnover is not high and that says an awful lot in my opinion. Happy Staff-Happy Customer! The office is clean, the atmosphere pleasant and the eyewear selection is AWESOME, not to mention that they have employees there with GREAT taste. Each eyewear purchase that I have made gets RAVE reviews from my co workers, friends and family. My POE changed insurance providers at one time and it wasn't financially feesible for me to see Dr.Alfieri. Needless to say, I was miserable. My eyecare experiences were less than pleasing. This is me second year visiting Pinnacle Eye Associates. The level of eye care is second to none. The staff is very personable and attentive. I will continue to come here for my eye exams. My only complaint is they are pricey. I could have saved over $250 if I took my glasses and contact lens prescription to Costco. read more

Definitely not happy with this place. An associate told my wife that there was absolutely no way she could keep her current frames and get new lenses made. Imagine my shock when I went back with my wife to a follow up visit and overheard the same associate tell another customer that they could keep their frames and have new lenses made. When my wife was taken to a different associate for her new lenses, she asked about this practice and was told it would not be a problem for them to make new lenses for her using her current frames. I have a problem with this sort of business practice. It then took 2 additional trips back to the office for her to get her frames. She says her prescription seems off in the new lenses. I believe her, but more on me in a moment. Also told her she needed to be seen twice a year due to being diabetic. My wife has one of the best diabetes docs in the area who said unless she was having problems, this would be inaccurate. Seems this place is bleeding out folks for insurance money. On to me. I have horrible eyes. Always have. Glasses since first grade. I have very strong contacts as a result. When I went in, the associate wanted to keep my current lenses that I had just opened 2 weeks ago and put me in a trial pair of lenses. Same thing she said. Same prescription she said. I asked for my existing lenses back to take with me since it did not make sense to me to throw out a perfectly good 1 month pair of contacts 2 weeks in. I had a few pairs left at home so I told the office I'd call back to order a new supply when I had used my current ones up. Imagine my surprise when I found she had cut back the prescription in in my contacts! Would explain how I had so much trouble seeing during the trial period. I have been going to her for 10 years plus. I even got my husband to come in for his much needed exam. He got the best exam. Went to this Dr./Eyeglass shop several years ago and just now able to post my report. The Dr and staff friendly., During the visit after telling her I'd like to have contacts she discovered I'm very sensitive to having anyone touch my eyes. She seemed very put off by me, not good... I'm the customer. The visit and selection of glasses at the time we're very limited to high end glasses which is great if you want to spend a lot of money. I have now found an excellent therapeutic opthamologist over at Target (Dr Kosir, see my recommendation on Yelp). Pinnacle has now moved into their own building. The office staff are very nice and accommodating. The doctor was very nice however, she missed that I had cataracts in both eyes despite informing her that my vision was cloudy. Because of ongoing cloudy vision I obtained a second opinion and they found I had cataracts in both eyes. I have since had surgery on both eyes and I no longer have cloudy vision. I cannot recommend an eye doctor that missed cataracts in both my eyes. read more

The doctors take special care in diagnosing each need and will work within your budget to get you the best value but also the best quality. At my latest appointment, Dr. Green listened to my concerns regarding contacts and gave me the best contacts and fit I have had in the last several years. Dr. Alfieri is great. I was one of her first patients, however when my employer switched vision plans to one that she doesn't accept, I was unable to continue seeing her. I was willing to pay more to see her by using my Out of Network benefits, but her costs are too high for that to make much financial sense. She did at one time start accepting my vision plan, but has since dropped it. If your insurance will let you see her, she's great. Otherwise, she's very expensive. read more

I can't begin to say enough about how wonderful Dr. Alfieri and her staff are. Last year about this time, I had a horrible eye infection that caused me to require daily dilation and medication. This included having to dilate my eye at home multiple times daily for a while. Dr Alfieri met us at her office on days off to check my condition, as well as following up with my husband on the phone. I woke up this morning feeling like it might be happening again, and it was when I was verifying her phone number that I realized when someone goes above and beyond for you, they deserve credit. This place changes appointment times and then when the appointment is confirmed will make excuses as they state the online confirmation is correct. Also my wife tried a number of times to get an appointment and Pinnacle Eye would not assist. Dr. Carie Alfieri is great but appointment scheduling is lacking a lot. read more

Great frame selection, but...I've had 2 different times that I've had glasses or lenses made here and both times I end up not seeing as well as I do other places, even after multiple redo's. It is almost like the lenses are too high tech. lLast time I had lenses made and remade here and after the 3rd try I just gave up. My dr. (Not the doctor on site) said they didn't make lens as prescribed, but Pinnacle said it was right, just too difficult for another doc to read-all I know is I don't see well with them. Finally just got a new pair of glasses from my eye doctor and they were right the first time. Hate having the wasted pair sitting in a drawer. read more

The staff are all extremely polite and helpful. I wear contacts and have anxiety about other people touching my eyes, but Dr. Alfieri was great. My family of 4 went in to have our eyes checked. All came out with glasses. Complained to Dr. Alfieri my glasses just didn't seem right. Staff did not have a lot of patience and the problem was never fixed. Kids never wore their glasses because it made them feel dizzy. Went to new eye doctor and low and behold all of our prescriptions were wrong! One of my children didn't even need glasses. My daughter's prescription was .75 to high! Wonder why she was dizzy.
