They were extremely helpful in recommending/supplying modern products that would meet both current building codes and our Historic Review Board approvals . Their expert installation looked marvelous. Over the years it has continued to look and function extremely well and stood the test of time... Much to our dismay, in December of 2025, an in-attentive driver jumped the curb & sidewalk to remove a large portion of the front facing fence. Gleave Construction came to our rescue. With the utmost care and professional workmanship they were able to make a perfect repair of our property. That said, in-spite of having to deal with the Huntington lime stone shards & bedrock, they were able to remove the damaged posts that were set in concrete. And reset new posts and fencing as needed. This included custom fabricating/matching materials used 20 years ago. We could not be more pleased with the valuable services provided by Gleave Construction personnel- the owners, the office staff AND the installers are wonderful people to work with.

Overall, the fence is not bad. They cut the fence around a large rock that was on my property. I…read moredon't understand why they didn't just move it. It's not on the property line. I also had to fix a door latch as it was installed upside down. I think the other latch is missing a piece. They also left a large gap between the house and fence. It's not too bad, but I have dogs and am not a fan of the gap. The process was a complete nightmare! About took them to court. I put half the payment down and they were not responsive at first and pushed out the date it was supposed to go up numerous times. I asked if I needed to get a permit and John said he would handle it. They started digging and never got a permit! I called and got one right away since I was worried about getting fined. They dug all the post holes and left them for over a week! At this time, it was fall going into winter so it was a guessing game where to step. I notified my neighbors to not let their kids cut through my back yard as I didn't want anyone to get hurt and get sued. I couldn't let my dogs out back because I didn't know where to step. Once they started putting up my fence, they leaned all the lumber onto my neighbor's chain link fence causing it to slightly bow. Thankfully, I am close with my neighbor and he wasn't upset. They also backed the trailer into one of the trees in the driveway. The whole process was a mess, but my fence is up and it doesn't look bad! Definitely would NOT recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself from stress and potential liabilities.
